This is the first time I’ve listened to Ari and not hated him.
Tucker was great.
Ari has always been good, it’s what Joe sees. It’s the self-destructive side of him that turns everyone off.
Lol, I have a love-hate relationship with Ari. I love the dude, but he's so goofy at times, then he talks, and I like him again.
He’s insufferable
He’s really not that different than Tim Dillon they both play the good cop/bad cop in their commentary. Not always but sometimes their rants are hilarious 😂
ari is a total hack. some kind of nepotism is the only reason hes famous.
Man I’m so glad Tucker went independent. He is diversifying his reach. And it is just awesome. Thank you Tucker for this.
I'll tell ya what, I'd rather go see a comedy show than any movie that is being put out today by woke Hollyweird.
Fr...
You could see a movie put forward by the Angel Studio guild tho.
Sound of freedom was 🔥
Comedy shows are corny asf. You have to be drunk to enjoy and laugh at them
@@rumchata6569 Not true at all, but you're entitled to your own opinion. I've never laughed harder in my life than live comedy and haven't had a drink in many many years. Something about being there in person just amplifies the whole thing. Sounds like you just have poor taste in comedians!
@@djjazzyjeff1232 nope it’s just corny and kinda pathetic you haven’t laughed harder with your bros or girl. No offense it’s just not normal.
Tucker is getting better and better.
The best thing that ever happen to him was getting fired. Now he can be AUTHENTICALLY himself. And I've become a big, big fan.
@@djjazzyjeff1232 110%
He’s been this good, he just has no leash now
He's a lying fool
At what? Selling your own ideas back to you?
Ari's Meteor analogy at the end was brilliant. What a smart fellow.
100%
Until he isn't
He definitely thought about that previously in his numerous cancelation attempts 😂
PR companies/spin doctors take note. Thats a how diffuse it.
He forgot to mention Shane Gillis and Mark Normand. Those are facts tho. While not being a great comedian, Rogan has 100000% reignited the stand-up scene. Not just because he has up and comers on his show, but because he speaks about comedy with such passion and respect that it is infectious. He really treats it like a fine art.
@raudeloruna2600 Ive seen Rogan live twice, he is a great comedian. Not the best, but he is great. His love for it is clear as day
Aint it ...?
Shane Gillis is a PoS just like the whole crowd
Only Tim Dillon and Stavros are genuinely funny
@@Inbraneinthememsanelol, Dillon isn’t a piece of shit? Nothing about stavros is funny.
@@Inbraneinthememsane Aww did Shane make you mad?? Poor little fella. It'll be ok just hug that rainbow flag tight.
Joe Rogan and Keanu Reeves gotta be the best dudes in entertainment
Worst. Take. Ever.
Not sure if Keanu has ever been on Joe's podcast but he would make a great guest
Is keanu reaves just loved because he’s a good guy? I don’t see him as a great actor.
@@LimeGuy101 You probably dig George Clooney 🤡
@@LimeGuy101best take ever.
Been watching Rogan and Ari for years. After this i finally understand why Ari is so passionate about supporting good comedians that aren't well known. He's paying it forward, respect.
Joe is a very good interviewer.
If only he was a funny comedian.....
He is. I'm not quite partial to his style, but he can really work with anyone on the podcast
His best “interviews” are the ones where he talks less and lets the interesting person talk.
Not good enough to tell Ari to burn that hat.
I have heard these story of Joe Rogan helping people out in many ways what a LEGEND. You Can't Take It With You.
Joe Rogan became his hero, Mitzi Shore
that was my thought too because Mitzi was the same way.
Surprised more ppl don’t say or realize this
This is the best interview ari has done.
Joe has made his fortune, he can do Whatever He Wants.
He has always done and said whatever he wants. That’s how he built a cult fan base. He was never PC. He never catered toward the masses. That’s why his conversations are always so authentic and genuine. Watch his old videos when he was in his bedroom with podcast equipment, even back then he did not give a fuck.
The more you learn about Rogan the more you respect him. Very nice when that is the case
Agreed. With most celebrities it's the opposite
I wish more people were like rogan .
I've always liked Ari, but I'd hang out with this chill-version of Ari!
Gay
Tucker is a great interviewer bcuz he actually lets them talk. Stern should take notes
And he doesn’t have a laid out agenda.
Stern is such a narcissistic ahole.
No amount of notes will help stern.
Stern is last century
Never seen Ari almost nervous
I really like listening to comics when they are just talking and not necessarily trying to be funny. To be funny you have to pay attention, makes for some interesting observations.
Joe Rogan honestly isn’t a good comedian. That being said, what he has accomplished with his podcast is extraordinary and his commentary when it comes to martial arts is top notch.
I agree actually. He UNDERSTANDS comedy really well, he's just not that great on it. But where he is great is in his podcast. I feel the same way about Joey Diaz actually, on stage he sucks, I'm just being honest, but in conversation he SLAYS.
He’s a funny guy. Like in conversations and off the cuff he’s damn funny. But I’m not a fan of his stand up.
Mmm… I’m a fan of his comedy… ultimately he isn’t releasing clips like all the new comics hence why people may not be familiar with how funny he is, and he doesn’t flood the market with special after special but when he does I think they’re good. The attraction to his podcast in the beginning was the looseness and the humour these days it’s become more polished… still great but very different… more of a media figure now
He’s not a bad standup at all.
Agreed. He’s not terrible, he has his moments, but far from being an elite comedian
We are in a comedy renaissance, it's really amazing to witness if you're a comedy fan. We depressed peasants indulge in it like therapy. I often listen to "Protect Our Parks" in the car driving an hour to work then another hour home after a 12 hr shift. It keeps me smiling when I walk into work and home. To any of you weird comics I listen to, whom checks comments lol thanks for real
Man, I like Ari --even MORE after watching this and listening to him talk...SOBER. Just a totally GENUINE guy. (He is always so damn stoned on the Protect Our Parks episodes. His stoned laugh is hilarious, but he never is able to actually speak much.)
cant stand the guy. so unfunny.
Ari is good enough friends with Rogan that he’s allowed to stand up mid sentence and piss in a bottle and the floor and isn’t kicked out.
Wow. I wasn't an ari fan but seeing him clean and sober on this... Really changes my perspective
These Rogan stories remind me of Julius Caesar as he was coming up. Going into significant debt to make people happy and love him and it paid off a million times over again. I’m not at all saying they had the same motives or that Rogan was in debt. It is just crazy that in both cases doing things for others was remembered and rewarded from clients as favors or just by the universe blessing you. I love Rogan’s podcast and hope I can visit his comedy club. Very cool stories here.
Did it really pay off for Caesar in the end tho? "Hey Jamie, why don't you pull up that clip of you putting that dagger in my side?" 😂
I don't think Brutus was showing Julius Ceasar any love while he was stabbing him to death.
lol I like that first comment that is funny. But you guys get what I mean. We can argue about the politics of the end of the Roman Republic but I think you understand my point.
Caesar never ate alone. He was killed by jealous people, never see it coming
Ari acts as though he had no idea that signing on with CC came with baggage. Please.
Not sure it was a surprise, how much though is a different question.
@@Fear_and_Fables He's an adult, and it couldn't have been his first time in the barrel.
Burnt Chrysler wouldn't be doing his Machine story without Joe Rogan.
Tucker: Did you ever say "Perhaps" to heroine?
Ari: Perhaps.
The glazing is unreal 😂
THIS is the result, reach, and positive influence of Joe Rogan. This interview. Getting his friends on other influential and balanced platforms with large reach/viewership. Just like Rogan, helping out others.
The worst thing about Joe is that he pulls up other sub standard comedians who should NOT have a career in the business. Maybe it's because Joe himself can relate.
3:22 I bet going on Rogan now is as big or bigger than going on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. That used to be the ticket.
Nick Dipoalo said in 2014 that going on Rogan was bigger than going on Conan or Jimmy Fallon.
I wonder sometimes was he spun out in his early days watching them on TV. Never realising he would be as big if not bigger than them.
@@jackbauer4186 When the tonight show was at its height, there weren't 4 million other websites, there were 3 channels and PBS. Not much else was on at night.
@@jackbauer4186Agree with that
Television was a one-off in those days. If people missed your guest spot, they just missed it. It's different now, of course, but Joe probably gets more views than Colbert and the Jimmys combined.
I think Avici is the DJ a Ari is referring to that had to spot DJ’ing. Eventually took his own life
Katt Williams has entered the chat
Thos is a genuine and honest conversation.🎉
Comedy never needed saving. Comedy is fine. It’s the establishment that’s ruining everything.
Ari sure as hell doesn’t have to worry about becoming too successful lol
Tucker is great at what he does. I like him. What bothers me are people who glaze all over him like he's some kind of a second cumming. His txts revealed in Fox lawsuit discovery really showed his 'twofacedness'. People just love to idolize celebrities and forget their missteps... He has an agenda and he went all 'Im now independent new media, establishment media sucks' etc. I love his content, but I come at it with critical approach and with awareness regarding his past.
He is so blunt. Love it, but Joey got some real shade.
The truth isn't shade. It's just the truth. Pretty sure Joey has talked about all of those things.
@@chilloutdude3617 Yep he sure did, talked about this on The Church a while back
Joe Rogan a solid friend, awesome how they got each other's backs
Awesome interview, one of the best 12 minutes of my time today that I will have spent, and not wished I had it back. Thanks to the guest, the host, and the staff.
Joe Rogan did the same with Jiu-jitsu and MMA... I have start jiu-jitsu in 2012, I stopped it after couple months, and them after became a regular in JRE experience and see Joe talks about Jiu-jitsu It made want to come back... and since them I never stopped again...
Name one open mic'er Rogan has had on his podcast
Joe is just the really cool guy everyone likes to talk to. I’m glad he’s found his niche in life. He’s very good at what he does, and he seems like a truly decent guy.
It’s funny how people don’t like Rogan comedy but without him being a comedian he would use that to project him to be in tv shows which eventually pivot him to do a podcast.
pretty crazy how this guy just miraculously got away with doing something as fucking disgusting as secretly giving someone psychedelics. this guy is lucky to even be alive, he has very kind friends.
Rohan’s the best. He actually cares about comedy and the new comics coming up..!
No one is worried about Ari becoming too successful lol
This A/V quality is way better than anything Ari has ever experienced, props to Tucker, amazing show.
Joe saved my life. If I ever meet him, I’m going to tell him that and give him a hug.
Like Joe says, when you have the "FU" money, you can whatever you want. What's key is to realize when you reach that point of FU money and then do your thing rather than what others want/expect you to do. It's a superpower
I never understood what that meant UNTIL I was in my teens. My father was VERY successful in the computer industry and had FU money. I saw how he treated people and how everyone around him were whores. I don't have a dime to my name and am way happier than he could ever be !
That's Joe "eat elk and plunge cold" Rogan
His nose must REALLY itch
Wish he could pass some my way. I cant even get food right now
The Joey Diaz story is called “enabling.” Hopefully it did some good, as that was obviously Rohan’s intent.
Joe is a huge fan comedy, full stop!
Joe Rogan’s genuine honesty and selflessness is his greatest strength and the reason he is so successful.
I’d argue that Rogan is going through the ‘inconvenient elder / elder statesman’ stage. But these guys are old enough to still see it as cutting edge.
It WAS cutting edge (in, like, a casual, understated way) but that peak has been and gone.
Now it’s just a dusty institution. That’s how quickly things go through the cycle of thrive and decline now.
Kudos to Joe
Pay it forward. Once youre set what could make you happier ?
Sending infinite love and peaceful energy from the creeks and woodland of Missouri.
The first i have ever listened to Ari and not be so annoyed that i can't watch. This is refreshing
I hear just nothing but good about Joe Rogan, and I like the way he runs his podcast. I just wish I had time to listen to more than the occasional episode.
Rogan calling out mencia was also so important, led to Louis ck going independent
I really liked seeing the "real" Tucker and Ari ! I appreciate it. Mr. Tucker you belong in politics ... you got my vote. (not while on the network, but now for sure) and as far as Ari... I liked seeing this side of him, I am a bigger fan now !
Joe Rogan is popular bc of his podcast. He has people on his show from taboo areas and talks with them and ask them questions most people wanna know. It’s 2-3 hours and not 5 minutes like conventional media. He found a niche that anyone can do hence all the successful podcasts available. Has nothing to do with comedy
I thought impossible but This interview made me like Ari. I watched the whole episode.
Lol the explanation of its quarters for me to pay for your food makes it seem like a bigger power move. Even if he didnt mean it in that way.
It 100% depends on who that person is at their core.
I think Rogan helped to save America, true, he is a central source of discussion, that people actually listen to, having said that, I don’t think Rogan is particularly funny, at all, he’s a good host, cuz that’s what he is, a host…
What a massively exaggerated title lmao
Idk if he "saved comedy". He promoted some of the biggest unfunny comedians like Brendan Schaub and Bert to a level that is now insufferable
He printed Shaub on fight talk, which I still think is intolerable, or nearly intolerable…but never did he as a comedian
i think Kill Tony has helped comedy big time as well
Fantastic interview
This is such a good example of the type of person Joe is. Just a huge heart.
We NEED Tucker and Joey Diaz together.
Joey Diaz and Tucker needs to happen.
Owen Benjamin making jokes 6 years before joe and co. make the same jokes. One is shamed and can’t tour, the others are praised and make millions for being “edgy” long after the appropriate time to make the jokes
This is your second best episode behind Tim Dillon's
If a trucker can remain sober on the road, why cant a comedian
Too much free time and bejng surrounded by other comics.
Ari is the best.
First time Ari came across as like-able to me…keep this energy Ari
holy shit ari looks good in this ambiance
No offense. This dude seems chill. But I honestly have no foookn clue who he is. And no intention of looking him up either.
Ari, Don't think I didn't notice you came to my home state of Maine looking like Henry Fonda On Golden Pond.
Say what you want about Ari but he seems like a friend you want to have.
Thank you for the video.
Brilliant! Ari .. You are pure gold
Rule #1 of 40 for power: Never outshine the master
Glad I skipped that book, thanks.
Comedy has never been worse. Do you see who the "top" people are?
Poor is life long. Broke is temporary, whether it's a day a week a month a year, it's temporary. Huge difference
I always thought Ari was a drugged up fool. I was wrong. This guy is smart and insightful.
Joe comedy is great compared to the mediocre people he has surrounded himself with
Man I wanna try stand up so bad
comics are under cover geniuses. we need them.
Joe Rogan is a blessing to all of us
Joe Rogan should save some comedy for himself!
Rogan can handle moderation. He said he prefers stand up than t.v or movies.
I would be the opposite...i doubt I could handle touring on a stage getting both real or fake adulation.
I am always looking for an adventure and saying no to shit is hard for me!
I rather have an assignment for 1-9 months stick to it then bounce on to the next!
I COULD SEE MYSELF GRINDING MY TEETH TALKING TOO FAST ON A STAGE JUST TO FORGET IM TALKING TO PEOPLE WHO DONT EVEN KNOW ME.
He didn't save it. He just moved the Hotspot.
I wonder how many times Ari peed in a bottle during this interview.
Why does touring lead to drug use?
free alcohol and loneliness
Boredom.
