The guys who made Nitronic Rush while attending DigiPen formed their own indie studio, Refract Studios. They had a Kickstarter(that I supported) for their spiritual successor, Distance. They're going to add a robust track editor, more obstacles, more game modes, native Mac support, and both split-screen and online multiplayer. They're almost finished with their closed alpha build and have a big announcement this summer. You can still show your support by preordering the game and getting a Steam key for the closed beta.
Distance is in alpha right now. You can sign up for the beta through paypal or wait for it to be released on Steam. Either way you should check it out.
