  • Pokémon range from cute and cuddly to awesome and powerful, but something they can ALL have in common is never knowing what horrible and frightening thing will pop up about them in the Pokédex! This wealth of information provides a peek into a dark and often disturbing aspect of the Pokémon world, so let's see which creatures might actually be too scary to tame...

    Cacturne’s Pokédex entry can be pretty unnerving too; I forget which game mentioned it, but groups of them will stalk a traveler crossing the desert, hoping they pass out due to fatigue. That itself is pretty ominous, and makes Asado Desert in Paldea twice as treacherous; you already have to watch out for Bramblin and Brambleghast latching onto your legs, not to mention the aggressive Rufflet and Hippowdon!

      Kingdra's introduction was just a gen l8r to the 1st one, meaning that Seadra (along w Golbat) didn't stay a final stage in its own line for long, becoming a 2nd stage which generally dont get too much attention from both the devs & fans. Misty didnt use it in a mainline game b4 & only in Stadium, whereas she owned a Horsea in the anime, TCG, manga & Stadium, & also opted for Water-types that r more well known, such as Lapras, Psyduck or Blastoise. Players would've batted an eye towards Seadra if it was a, at the time, coveted Dragon type, making it weak to absolutely nthg in Gen1. If u don't know why that is, then look it up, it's crazy that GF let that slip through when even Ghost got Lick in their short arsenal. I guess they couldnt come up w any more Dragon moves & be bothered enuf with it, showing their apparent bias towards other types.

    • @robertlupa8273

      @@lipika2841 It seems like the Dragon-type wasn't added until very late in develpoment, as its at the tail end of the "effectiveness message priority order" list in the code. You want dangerous dex entries? Let’s talk about Tinkaton’s and no, I don’t mean the one that talks about its hobby of bullying Corviknight.
    “The hammer tops 220 pounds, yet it gets swung around easily by Tinkaton as it steals whatever it pleases and carries its plunder back home.”
    From this we can learn 2 things
    1. Tinkaton is very physically strong. I’m no expert on the subject, but if someone could lift 220 pounds, that person probably doesn’t need to a giant hammer to be dangerous. As to why it wields one anyway, maybe it finds it more fun to hit rocks into the air as opposed to throwing them.
    2. I don’t know about you, but I feel like the phrase “whatever it pleases” has some strong implications. Like imagine you’re walking home after buying, say, a PS5. All of a sudden, a small pink blur darts out of the vegetation, snatching the bag containing the console out of your hand and takes it off to who knows where. You’d attempt to follow it, but given the fact that it’s able to do the necessary calculations to snipe birds out of the air, it probably knows how to cover its tracks properly. Of course, the PS5 was just an example. For all we know, “whatever it pleases” could mean anything. Precious stones? Military equipment? The bones of its enemies? The souls of countless legendaries? Who knows what it feels like taking?

      What's even more disturbing is Tinkaton's listed weight. Tinkaton is listed as 248.7 pounds (112.8 kg). This implies one of 2 equally horrifying conclusions: either the hammer is included in that listing and Tinkaton weighs 28.7 pounds (12.8kg), or that's Tinkaton's ACTUAL WEIGHT, and the hammer is extra!

    A lot of these Pokedex entries make sense when you realize Pokémon are basically JRPG monsters that humans figured out how to tame. Back before Poke balls were invented, people probably stayed inside of walled cities and only went outside accompanied by some sort of Pokémon Witcher or hired warrior/mage/cleric bodyguards to fight the Pokémon. Early artificial Pokémon like Golurk and Sygiliph were probably invented in order to protect cities from Pokémon like Gyarados and Hydreigon. It all makes me really interested in the history of the Pokémon World and the possibility of another Legends game.

    I'd say pokemon world humans aren't quite as out of their depth as they might seem. That is, humans in general in the pokemon world seem to be super durable. There are cases where pokemon kill them, but they're rare and generally humans seem to handle pokemon attacks better than some pokemon do (just look at all the trainers who spar with their pokemon or even just have them attack them during training). Then we have the outright superhumans who develop psychic or magical powers, or superhuman strength. The latter seems to be something powerful trainers develop often. In Sword and Shield we have Mustard, a 70+ year old man who can leap several times his own height and flash-step and, and his wife Honey is noted to be able to fight evenly with creatures as powerful as Gallade. Back in gen 5 we have Alder leaping off a cliff without injury, and many other examples.

    • @GoinGreninja
      @GoinGreninja Před 7 měsíci +1

      That is true. But it's also true that the psychics, aura users and seers that exist for example are also pretty rare compared to the general populace. So it's not exactly the best idea to compare those guys with them. That said, it doesn't mean that can't be tougher than our humans, maybe by twice. But even then, they still have risks of dying since human bodies, even if twice as tough, is still relatively frail compared to most animals and especially some Pokémon, especially fully evolved ones. So while rare, it may not be as rare as some could think.

      Here we go for an ideia:
      "Because of it being killed by farmers who protect pokemon it would prey upon and deflorestation, Rowlet's population is dwidling everyday, "
      "Rowlet's feathers are very sought after Because of their beauty, this unfortantly means they get hunted down for that"
