Abida Parveen Sahiba is the living legend of this country and a deserving one. and Naseebo Laal is also a legend of her genre. You should react to Pardadaari by Atif Aslam and Abida Parveen.

I am impressed the way you catch even the minutest details despite of the lingual barriers.
In Pakistan Urdu is the lingua franca and national language but English is the official language. In Pakistan we can easily switch between languages very comfortably. In cities we use a mix of English and Urdu but at homes we use our mother tongue which mostly one of the regional languages i e, punjabi , Sindhi, Balouchi, pashto

Definitely highly respected, they’ve been around for a long time and given us such masterpieces over the years and still do, I’ve grown up with my parents listening to Abida Jee and Naseebo Jee, it’s beautiful how even now the younger generation has the same respect and hold them in high esteem, as they deserve, true legend!! Lovely lovely review as always guys, got a little emotional, love from Pakistan!🥺

Awe , thank you so much for reacting to it. It was indeed a great reaction and Jodi almost cried , i felt that. One thing, just for your information that Naseebo Lal was basically a street singer, yes its true but she had a voice so powerful and so high in range that she got instant hit. Nonetheless, she struggled too hard thats why we all respect and love her so much. God bless you Nick and Jodi. Much love from Pakistan

I am really really enjoying your reactions to Coke Studio. It's obvious that both of you are really connecting emotionally, with the songs and the videos and the people behind the scenes. And you are not lukewarm in your appreciation of the effort that has obviously been put in:))))
One of the other reactors on CZcams (Shrutz on Jyoti C Sardar's channel czcams.com/video/parB5qb95wQ/video.html at 22:48), pointed out something about Abida Parveen, after watching the song, which I hadn't realised before. That if you watch her other performances, you will see that typically Abida jee’s eyes are closed and she doesn't smile; she gets lost in the kalam (spirituality laced verses) she sings and is usually looking up (to communicate with a higher power).
If you watch Aaqaa in Coke Studio, where she sings with Ali Sethi (of Pasoori fame), she doesn't look at him once. In this performance however, she was actually smiling and gesturing and making eye contact with Naseebo jee and acknowledging her. Of course they were facing each other, whereas in Aaqaa, she and Ali Sethi were sitting side by side. But even then. The point is, that Xulfi brought out a different side of her personality this time, by showing her an old video of hers, in which she was a child. And then recorded one last take and apparently went with that take.
Abida Parveen is one of a kind and all of Pakistan knows it and that is why the team went to her home, whereas all the other artists to date have come to the studio.
You recognised Adnan Dhool who wrote Tu Jhoom, and sang Neray Neray Vas in this season and sang Bol Hu featuring Syeda Hadia Hashmi, in Nescafe Basement.
And yes, Veeru Shan, who is the female percussionist was singing in the choir. I just love her:))) She seems like such a lovely, down to earth, happy person.

      @@BoringReviews You’re most welcome:)
I can’t believe that I actually began to comment because Jodi was looking for the right word to describe how the two ladies were being treated. I thought of words such as reverence/deference or even etiquette/decorum.

I started watching your reactions after Ye Dunya. (The best song IMO :D) and it has been a superb journey watching you guys. I usually watch you guys on TV but you can’t comment so had to come on he app 😂
Abida Parveen is a legend, the best sufi singer in Pakistan (if you ask me :D) but you guys have been so so amazing that it’s a whole new experience 😁

Yes, you picked on the vibe. The song demanded respect, the singers were revered by the team and that was the outcome. There was much spirituality on the set and it transcends to the listener. Stay safe and blessed guys.

Hi Nick and Judy. I know nothing of what you are reacting to, but thought I would remind you That the AFL season starts this week. I would love to see Jodi's reaction to some of our Almost Football Legends from the bush to the burbs. It is a good way to understand how passionate we are about our national sport and you will definitely appreciate our humour. Cheers, mates.
