- Finding out that I have cancer
On March 15, 2019, after what seemed like a million tests and doctor visits, I was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called Primary Mediastinal Large B-Cell Lymphoma.
At first, I wanted to keep my health problems private and go through with all of the treatment quietly; however, after doing my own research, I realized that there is very little awareness about cancer in young adults. As much as we like to think that we are invincible at this young age, it is important to keep in check with your health!
I have decided that I want to document my entire cancer journey as a means to distract myself from the obvious downside of cancer, but also to raise awareness and help those who are going through or may one day be going through something similar.
If you know someone who is going through cancer treatment currently, please send them this video! Even if I help just one person through sharing my journey, my mission would be complete.

@Woody Rooper lol
To the people below. Grow up and don't comment that kind of rude insulting stuff to one another. This poor lady is suffering and to read this will make her upset and she does not need that on top of dealing with cancer. Make her comments section positive and a nice place to go to when she is feeling down. It does not matter what you believe in as a cure. The only thing that matters is it works and you live to tell the story. Please leave positive comments. Life is way to short to be horrible. Xx I mean that in the best way possible! Be kind to everyone as you do not know what they are going through!
@Kate Z It takes a great person to realise what they have done wrong, apologise and move on. So thank you đđ
Best wishes to you, dear. Tme and Youth are on your side. Get Well Soon.
I was in stage 4 of a rare type of non Hodgkinâs lymphoma when I was diagnosed at 8, and here I am at 24. Stay positive đ
What is the survival rate of Stage 4 lymphoma?
@@jonathanparkhurst1080 I had a 10 year survival rate of about 20% (2004). The cancer I had was very rare in children so they didn't really know how to treat me because they hadn't seen it in kids, it usually only occurred in men aged 50+.
Wow amazing! And may you have a long and healthy life â€ïž
I love hearing about people beating this. Gives me so much hope for the future.
The treatment for all stages of Hodgkin Lymphoma is the same, and even stage 4 have a good success rate of cure. Not sure about other types of Lymphoma ...
God bless you
Iâm 31. I just got diagnosed with breast cancer. Iâm so scared. I know nothing at this point. But these videos give me hope
My 25 year old daughter had breast cancer 3 years ago. She went thru chemo and lost her hair. She got a beautiful henna tattoo on her head. My daughter is a Christian so the Lord was her strength. I will be praying for you. You are very brave for making this video. God bless you and give you peace.
here is something that works it worked for my cancer floressence tea (removes cancer causing toxins) google Spark people Otto Warburg
2 days before my brotherâs 13th birthday he woke up with a severe headache and visual changes. After a bunch of tests he was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor . There were no known treatments and was given only 5-6 months to live. We were talking about a 13 yo kid. We pushed as most would to have anything and everything done. He is now 52 years old. I wanted to tell you this because first, it doesnât matter how old you are, if itâs your lot in life is to end up cancer then so be it. It can happen to anyone from 0-100 years old. Second, no matter what the diagnosis is be brave push for every treatment possible and beyond. And tell yourself and others that you have looked everywhere and you havenât found an expiration date on you anywhere. Always have hope and God bless you.
I had a brain tumor as well and have double vision. What treatments was he able to get? Did his visual changes ho back to normal what where they?
At 22 I was diagnosed with bone cancer. My cancer was discovered after breaking my arm. Stay strong.
How did they find it? I have a broken bone that happened for no reason in a weird way, they haven't even looked into it
Best wishes for you.
Gemma freeman I broke my arm working at a hospital and restraining a combative patient. No signs, no symptoms. My tumor was 2x4x6 inches. Braking my arm saved my life. Never give up hope and fight the good fight
@@Marbaby92 You are all over the comments telling people that vaccines cause cancer... don't you have anything better to do?
You can try praying blessings for Benny Hinn's Christian ministry every day. God gives me healing whenever I do. The website is www.BennyHinn.org if you want to check it out. I also donate to it. God bless.
I was diagnosed with the exact same cancer in 2012 when I was 27 and newly pregnant. Sadly I had to let go of the baby to undergo a major surgery for the biopsy cause the mass on my left lung was so huge and had collapsed the lung. 8 rounds of RCHOP and 20 radiotherapy sessions later I was in remission. was told that my ovaries shut down and that I am in post menuposal state, so I cannot have a child of my own.
Fast forward to now , I am thriving, the fittest I have ever been and a busy mom of 20 month old boy.
Wishing you more power and the best of health to come. You have got this. Eventually you will see that the new perspective you gain from this journey gives is the the greatest gift of your life. Kudos to you for sharing your story. I was a sucker for inspiring stories like yours back then, and it gave me immense hope and strength.
Lots of love and hugs!
You fought and you won. And great to know you are a mom of 20 months oldđ. Take care

Anyway you will make it through, you will win. You will live a long rich life. You are unstoppable. This stranger on CZcams is with you in spirit.
I'm so glad the walk in doctor took you seriously & didnt just say I dont know, let me pass you off & trust that you would go on a wild goose chase for answers. And even more relieved they ordered the follow up xray. We're all here for you, thank you for sharing your story. â€ïž

Your video popped up in my recommended videos... Im about to go watch the rest of your journey, but before I go watch those videos I just want to say how much I admire you for your strength and positivity. Being 22 myself, having just finished my degree and started my career, I can't imagine how I would handle this situation if I was the one going through it.
I cannot imagine what struggles emotionally and physically this puts you through. I admire all who face these horrible facts of life. I don't think I could be as optimistic about it. Keep fighting everyone.â€
I just want to hug you! Your positivity is amazing!! Donât ever lose it girl!
You will be okay girl! Iâm turning 20 in October and I just went through a ovarian cancer. I lost both of my ovaries and just finished with the chemo. Now Iâm feeling good and I am happy with myself for that I beat the a*s out of this cancer. Please update how are you feeling and whatâs going on. Sending you much health and love! đ„°
Congratulations on kicking cancer's butt!
Hi giry was it hereditary or at random??
Youâre so blessed you had a DOCTOR who was thorough and extensive! I pray you are well now my friend!
I have had stage 4 cancer and it was heartbreaking. I cried for days and a voice kept telling me DeIynn you are going to die! I spent a lot of time slipping into the darkness but in the darkness came another voice just for me ' the voice said the same things all the time. It would say don't worry I am with you and days I could hardly walk from the pain he would say I am here get up and carry on for I am with you therefore no one or thing can snatch you from my hand. 2011 dying with cancer fast forward 2019 cancer free and living my life.
Ameo
Praise God
I was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer but I'm believing and trusting God for my healing
Praise the Lord Jesus Christ hallelujah!!đ
What cancer was itb
Remember to never give up and that when you beat your battle itâll be worth the wait and pain Iâve seen family go through the struggle of cancer and we hope for the best and I know and pray that you will have the strength to beat your illness and itâll show you why it was there when you beat it âĄ
I've seen my mom go through it and recover but as a 22 yo too I can't even imagine what it's like receiving that news. You have the right spirit, positivity will definitely help your recovery and even during treatment, the mind has a real impact of how the body heals. Wish you the best of luck and no more bumps in the road
Cancer is the devil, my moms parents both had cancer before they passed on. They lived as normally as they could. You are in my prayers. Live your best life and kick cancer's butt.
I hope your cancer is healed and that everyday remain special for you. My Grandfather had cancer and I hope no more people have this life-threatening disease. Please smile everyday because you and everyone deserves to đđ
Sending you lots of love from Germany â„ïž Iâm 21 and I canât imagine what you are currently going through... wishing you all the best and that everythingâs gonna be alright !!
I just came across your video in my recommended page. I am so sorry you are going through this, but you will get through this and recover. You have an amazing attitude. Wish you nothing but the best!
i had to watch my best friend battle cancer a few years ago and it was so hard just to even have to watch someone go through it, i cant even imagine being the one having to deal with it. you are so strong and you can do this đ i will be praying for you and your family
Hi, that came up on my feed as suggested to watch, I absolutely love your attitude and that you have started this channel. When I was diagnosed with myeloblastic lymphoma (also stage IV) I was looking for videos like this, where I could see somebody else's journey. I was only 17 at the time. Four years later I am free of cancer for almost a year! Good luck with your treatment and I will be waiting for more updates on your channel. Stay strong and do not give up đ
Heb 13:5 - I shall never leave nor forsake you â€ïž
Sheâs so positive and itâs honestly so empowering! I hope everything is going well! This was in my recommended so Iâm not up to date with her story but Iâm subscribing so I can keep supporting her!
Cancer comes out of nowhere and carries heartbreak with hearing it. It's a scary thing. My 4 old daughter went through it the end of 2017/beginning of 2018 also a type of lymphoma. Shes now 6 and in remission. She beat cancers ass!đ And you beautiful lady stay strong through this journey no matter how rough things get. You can beat it too! Sending lots of love, strength and prayers to you and your family!!!đ
I can tell youâre incredibly strong and thank you for sharing your journey and giving strength and courage to others. Iâll be following your journey and wishing for the best!! You got this!!
Thanks for your story and positive outlook. My prayers for you and a speedy cancer free recovery.
No words besides support and love. Youâre going to fight this and win! đ
You are here for a reason. God shone a light on doctors and allowed for you to get diagnosed and allowed for you to be able to fight this. You got this, you are Gods soldier. May he bless you and give you strength and hold your hand through this journey. We are all rooting for you.
You just popped up on my recommended and Iâm so glad I clicked on this video! Your attitude is amazing! Good luck with your treatment and keep your head high! God bless you always đ
Iâm so so sorry! Sending you so much loveâ€ïžâ€ïž You can do this! You seem SO strong, never give up! Iâll cheer you onâ€ïžđđŒđ
I am so unbelievably proud of you for your entire attitude in this video. I admire your courage because it really does take a lot of courage to talk about these sorts of issues. I donât have cancer but I have lung disease, a rare lung disease that no one my age (26) is suppose to get as it only affects the elderly. I have had two lung surgeries already where they removed a mass in my right lung and I only have one right lobe left now. Iâve had it for 6 years now and Ive learned to deal with the fact that it could always come back and nothing is for certain. However I also know that we have the power to make our lives better regardless of the news and negativity we get in our lives. Everything is mind over matter. I always felt sorry for myself for having this disease and itâs never done me any good. Your positivity and strength in this video has really inspired me to be better at putting good positive vibes in my life because we can really fuel our illnesses with constant negative thoughts. Not everything is in our control but we do have control over our thoughts. We have to give our mind and bodies the best during difficult times. Eating healthy, doing things that makes us happy and content etc. Thank you for sharing your story. Weâre all here for you. Stay positive! â€ïž
Your positivity and optimism are both contagious, you really are something special and reminded me to be appreciative of everything I have this morningâïž Sending love and support from the UK!đŹđ§
Just found your page today, and you are simply amazing! I was diagnosed at 27 with stage 4 Diffuse B Cell Lymphoma, and I couldn't imagine being told while driving the way you did. You are so incredibly brave to record your journey from the beginning, and explain so much of this trying experience to the world.
Sweet girl you will get through this! I was diagnosed with hodgkins lymphoma at 23 and had an 11th month old, thankfully have been in remission for 19 months! It wasn't easy, but it definitely makes you stronger. Wish nothing but the best for you!
I have seen this video accidentally, youâre amazing, praying for you.
Thank you for sharing ! As you mentioned, the resources on cancers in young adults are scarce and you documenting your journey contributes to improving the pool of information. I am keeping you in my thoughts and wishing you strength throughout this process. Sending lots of love â€ïž
In February 22, 2019 I was diagnosed with stage four primary mediastinal large B-cell lymphoma. I'm getting my last chemo on Monday, not sure at the moment if I'm getting any radiation after but I will find out after my PET scan. But I'm still fighting everyday to survive. Thanks Magdalena for taking us on this journey.
God bls u live long ameeeeeeeeen
Iâm a newly graduated radiation therapist! I hope your therapy team treats you wonderfully and your Rad Treatment goes smoothly and to plan! Best wishes!
I know you will get over all these struggles, keep on enjoying this beautiful life because you're so brave
Iâm so happy that you are staying positive! cancer is a very scary thing, but you better prove cancer wrong! keep your head up, and never let that crown fall! youâre too beautiful to be sad.
Stay positive! Itâs very important not to get bogged down with the diagnosis. I was diagnosed with stage 3 non-hodgkins lymphoma at the age of 15 after finding a lump on the left side of my neck. I went through about half a year of treatment (chemo and radiation). I have been cancer free for the past 15 years and am now 30 years old and still going strong!
So sorry you have to deal with this. Best to you and wishing you love, support and better health.
I wish I found you sooner, your positivity is inspiring! I'm 28 and was diagnosed with colon cancer in January, I'm cancer free now but getting back on my feet has been harder than I thought it would be
Oh my goodness. Baby girl, I just ran across your channel, and I just wanna say that you are a fighter. You got this. Keep your head and keep fighting. May God heal you, and maybe rid you of your cancer. I hope that all goes well with you.
Best of luck, you're a tough chick âĄđ
Thanks girl! :)
I wish you the best of luck and strength. I was diagnosed at 23 with a heart condition. Its a horrible feeling, so i kind of understand what youre going through. Im 25 right now, 2 years and a half and im still here.
I love your positivity and strength, keep going forward. If you ever need someone to talk to let me know, id love to hear some more about you and your journey.
Take care đč
Sending love, good luck, and hopes for amazing health your way girl!! Iâm so sorry youâre going through this. Youâre going to win this fight!! My heart and I know the hearts of many others are with you at this timeđđđ
Let me start by saying my hats off to you miss. After watching your video not only did i have tears in my eyes but i welcomed and accepted your bravery and compassion with how you presented yourself even after getting the news of this battle ahead of you. I was recently diagnosed with Follicular lymphoma and i start chemo this week. If there is one video that definitely helped me with my anxiousness and fear of what to expect it was this one. Thank you and understand that you did your job in bringing awareness to new diagnosed patients but more of a light to those like myself who needed that reassurance that no matter what age you are life throws obstacles at you and being able to express yourself so joyful man that hit home. I will get thru this and i am praying and sending positive vibes to you and everyone else who is dealing with their own battle. We all have a different diagnosis but share the same compassion in getting thru and ultimately beat cancer. Thank you for this i really mean it and i hope you get this message. Hope everyone going thru this beats it and embrace it
Joe~
I was diagnosed with breast cancer in November 2018 and I am lucky to be beating the odds and kicking cancer in the ASS warrior style

It sucks being 22 and diagnosed but unfortunately cancer has no age limit.. There's babies, children and teens going through it.. It's so unfair.. I really hope your treatment helps you fight this goddamn awful disease. You seem very head strong and determined xx
Wow you are so incredibly strong! Iâm amazed by your positivity and will be praying for you sweet girl, prayers for health and strength to beat this and live a long and healthy life â€ïž

Hello Magdalena I love how strong and brave you are ! And that I believe you are going to fight this through the grace and strength of God! You have supporters here that are wishing you strength and courage to be a fighter and a survivor!â€ïžđȘđœ my father was diagnosed with cancer years ago and is still fighting and is considered a survivor and he found his strength through praying, and being super appreciative for every single breath and second living and sharing his diagnosis and telling everyone I feel like this helped him heal because the compassion from others brought him prayers which I think honestly made him stronger and healed. I pray and hope thatâs youâre going to fight this and youâre going to realize how strong you are and how inspirational you are to the world đ! Trust that everything will go well even if it doesnât and that everyoneâs love will heal you faster. Much love đ
Thank you so much Diana, your prayers and support truly mean a lot to me â„ïž
You are a strong person! I have subscribed and will follow your journey! You are not alone!! â€ïž
Wow Iâm 22 years old and I donât know how I would handle being diagnosed with cancer. Your story has really opened my eyes. God bless you, sending you a big hugâ„ïž
I'm so glad you're trying to stay positive throughout this! About a year ago, I was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's t-cell lymphoma and I had just started college. I dropped out so that I could focus on getting through 9 months of intense chemo. I found that keeping a positive attitude helped me recover a lot. My treatment plan is crazy long and doesn't end until 2021, but I was able to return to school this fall and started to feel normal again. I totally agree with you that you can live your life normally even while having cancer. You're very inspiring and I'm so glad you were comfortable sharing your story. It will definitely raise awareness and help a lot of future cancer patients get through it. I hope you have a speedy recovery!
I am a new sub. You have a beautiful attitude & so positive which is amazing. Sending hugs, love and prayers your way during this difficult time. I am honoured to follow your journey and watch you beat this disease. Tu for sharing with all of us.
Thank you so much Jo! Your support and kind words mean a lot to me â„ïž
I never had Cancer but I had witnessed my mom at age 9 years old, I saw my mom going thru treatments and sadness.
I have brain aneurisms and I totally agreed with your positive mind set. Itâs for sure the right way to go about all this.
I know it sounds stupid what Iâm going to say but I sometimes feel glad that God chose me to have aneurysm and not my sisters because he knows that Iâm strong and positive at all times.
Please stay strong and brave
You are so adorable!!! Thank You for caring about others even when you should be worried only for yourself! You are an amazing person!â€â€â€
thank you so much magdalena youâre are such a brave, strong personality for sharing this, I am deeply saddened by you having to go through this, stay strong, Iâm praying for you
You're so beautiful inside and out! God must love you too give you the same opportunity he's given me...to learn to love EVERY day and not take things for granted! God will give you strength and help you through this, I KNOW IT!
Yes, god must love her so much he gave her cancer in the first place...
You will get through this love!đWe love you you're amazing
Girl, I am so extremely sorry. This is mind blowing because you're right people don't think cancer and young people. Keep a positive mindset. You have to fight. I will be praying for you.
Good luck with your journey, I wish you the best. You are supported and we would love to be here for you through your journey! - Melissa
Youâre not alone on your medical journey regardless of your specific diagnosis. There are plenty of us out here with various medical conditions who understand your feelings and your fears.
Praying for you!!! I have a friend who has had cancer since she was a young girl. She's now 38!
I feel bad she is going to die so young. Poor girlâčïž rip
Prayer to you from New Zealand. You'll bounce back. You'll be on my prayer-list
Thank you for your positivity. I donât have any illnesses but just sharing that outlook with the world is so inspiring.
Bless you and your strength and courage! †I am very sorry to hear of your battles. I cant acknowledge highly enough how brave you are to share your story, you may well be helping others in ways you do not know. Wishing you all the very best and I hope you beat this! â€
God Bless you honey. Thank you for sharing your story. God is with you. Lifting you in PrayerâŁïžđâŁïž
Stay strong beautiful, Iâm praying for you.
I was diagnosed with 2 brain tumors at 19- they thought they had been growing since I was 14. Young Adult cancer happens much more often than most people think. You have this girl- trust in the Lord, He will walk you through this. I thought my diagnosis was a death sentence and I was so afraid and angry I couldn't be normal, but all you can do is make the best of the situation by helping others. I have grown so much as a person because of my journey- praying for complete healing and comfort for you.
I was diagnosed August 2nd 2019 with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukimea and I had a lymphoma between my heart and sternum. I had just turned 21 in July. I have a 5 year old son, so I didn't have a choice to be sad about it. I have to show him everyday that I'm okay and that I'm just sick right now. I've done 5 rounds of chemo and am preparing for a bone marrow transplant.
If you keep a positive attitude everything will seem not to shitty around you. Keep fighting! We are warriors. Going through HELL to see another sunrise!
