This channel is managed by the Krishnamurti Foundation Trust, UK, and by the Krishnamurti Foundation of America.
The role of the foundations was described by Krishnamurti when he said, 'The foundations will see to it that these teachings are kept whole, are not distorted, are not made corrupt. They will not give rise to any sectarian spirit in their activities... nor create any kind of place of worship around the teachings or the person.'
We maintain extensive archives of Krishnamurti's original works and all four Krishnamurti foundations are actively engaged in the publication of material in various forms.
Our videos contain thousands of subtitles in more than 25 languages, translated by volunteers from all over the world. If you would like to help us with translating subtitles, please contact us at digital@kfoundation.org

If that is true, why were you here making that comment? To me, the reason had to be to fill a void, to fill a vacuum by coming into this system and listening to this teacher? Otherwise, you should not be on here.
Am I condemning you? Not at all, but I do want you to accept that we all have that void. My faith tradition concludes that it's there because of the fall of man.
Whatever reason for the void, we have two options: We can fill it in a healthy manner or an unhealthy manner. Don't you agree?

Loneliness is only good when you can go back to non- loneliness! K. is teaching us to know Reality beyond self's Time but we cannot neglect the self's Time - we exist in both cases, at once. Human beings came into this world, Existence, together: I exist because you exist. You exist because I exist. This implies Sociality, not aloneness. I used to like to be alone as long as I could run back to my wife. Now that I'm really alone, with no escape, it's the worst thing there is on earth. I can only become liberated. But that is not the true Existence. I am also Sociality.

Seems JK (whose words always have me laughing in joy), was talking about focusing on the little body and the little mind that generates thoughts (and all sense inputs). Giving attention/being ONLY the body/mind will always be lonely. Focusing on the little “me” will always be lonely, because it creates the illusion of separation. Is there a higher good? Can action create higher good? Or does all action pre-suppose incompleteness?

The source of loneliness is the "ego" of the "mind". The body is never lonely as it is always interacting with the environment (breathing).

    • @Pin-Neo
      @Pin-Neo Před 4 lety +5

@Carlos Matas Capilla There is only one universal mind, which is also conscious. This mind is functioning at the base of awareness that it is. Awareness is all that there is. Infact, there is only one awareness, which creates this consciousness, within which, the universe appears.
There is no separate mind or body that exists. This awareness of awareness, that it's alone, creates the feeling of loneniness and causes it to dream many versions of itself at the same instant. Time and space exist within the consciousness of this awareness.

@L 2023 Its the beginning of all sounds and words. It does not require the use of your tongue to create. Its just vibration or a friction on a single energy source that is enveloping upon itself and producing this first sound of all sounds. This AUM sound is the proof that there is only this single undivided energy which is the same as is inside me and outside me. The outside and the inside are thus the same energy. You and me are that same energy, which Newton defined as "can neither be created nor be destroyed, but can be transformed from one form to another only". All forms are of the same "one" energy. That AUM sound is coming from within me.

I think what he's saying is that everything we do is for our self: eating, resting, pleasure seeking, working, being charitable etc is done to satisfy our own wants and needs. This self preoccupation isolates us from others, who are equally selfish. So to be born is to be lonely. However, not everyone feels lonely, so I don't think what he says is true in terms of daily reality. Perhaps its true in some existential sense.

Is it really impossible to escape from loneliness? Very often I feel utterly lonely. Seems always I eat alone. Now I'm travelling alone. Looking at the streets and parks where all other people have their company, the feeling of loneliness has been more acute. At this moment of loneliness, what should I do? I want to grab any stranger surrounding me, and communicate with him. That would be the only thing that I know to do. Is that escaping? Or should I go back to the hotel, alone, and go into the loneliness?

And not a single time they stated this bcs. of genuine knowledge, but bcs. of the wish, that it was true.
And also I doubt that someone who genuinely knows that "one wouldn't aks, but go", etc would not just tell (!) this, but more likely show (!) how to get this. Bcs. the intellectual grasping of all of this would mean nothing more than a mere belive... having no value at all.

    »LONELINESS is GOOD!*«
As much as I follow most of K's arguments, this one I am not willing to agree with.
Doesn't it lie in the very humanness to dislike feeling lonely bcs. being alone will reduce your health and chances to prosper? The baby cries when the mother is away. Its loneliness would mean a certain death; the sad-single-guy in his sad-single-appartement feels lonely bcs. to be alone means to have no support (of the group), to lack in information and chances to grow ... there are studies which show that loneliness increases mortality.
So: either K means a different type of loneliness (the one coming from separation due to hurts throughout the entire life - starting from severe traumas in childhood) or he is just wrong. Besides, you could argue that he is enlightened. That he has lifted the veil and knowing/seeing/experiencing more than the normal human being.

Elvis was the most adulated human of his time, the King of Rock & Roll, and the loniest of human beings. Before dying, he said to his cook (a Black lady), 'it's just us now, all of this means nothing.
He saw the worthlessness of all that goes on, and the preposterousness of his status. And no one showed up in his life that could accompany him in life. He worshiped his mother. I agree with K. but I think that we must live both in Time and in the Trance - State beyond Time. K. is teaching us how to live beyond self's Time. But we also know we exist in Time. Elvis loved his mother in Time and that's good. But he also had some sense of the beyond of self's Time. My mother and I experienced this with him, in Bel- Air, California.
