The number in the top right of your screen (0800 520 0769) is still a valid number and the scammers are answering if you call them now.
Scammers' first line of defence is often "you called us", which is completely irrelevant as to whether they're trying to cheat you or not.
I know..they display such low level, embarrassing reasoning skills..It's the ultimate irony how these dim-wits make their living out of deceiving people 🤦♂️
Considering they make the initial contact in order for you to phone them, I don't even know what the point of saying that even is. 😂🤣😂
to be fair there have been times where when I worked in a call centre I've said to customers trying to argue with me that they called me because they did. I used to work for a bank call centre and it was awful.
You're a legend. Seriously, I know that this is the scammer's job but they need to be stopped and you are doing a good job.
A couple of weeks ago i got called saying that due to their records I had been in an accident that wasn't my fault. (A very common scam) I went a long with it and told them, I was driving in my Lamborghini with my 4 year old son then we were in a car crash, then i went on to say that my 4 year old son fell out the window. Surprisingly they believed it but what makes it worse is that i'm only 13...

I always ask them “which one?” Then say I have 4 claims current and there are 80 vehicles run from this location ..... some shit themselves other ..... you can hear the drool !!!
The answer is always the same when they're confronted: "I'm sorry?" Gives them time to process the question and extra time to think of an answer.

Mr Browning - I have to tell you your videos have been invaluable to myself, my elder parents who have lately been getting phone calls and the elder community I work in. I've been raising awareness to any elder with a computer of any kind. Fortunately my parents are both on Mac's as well as myself so when they told my dad to run the windows key + R , he knew something was fishy. I have saved some of your videos to my own laptop to raise further awareness in the elder homes I work in. So the end result is your videos have raised awareness and are working!!! The fact that they continue to argue that they're providing a legitimate service, even AFTER they know you have exposed them, shows just how devoid of morals these people are. They deserve to have their time wasted, to be exposed, and more importantly, shut down! Great videos - keep exposing these scumbags.

I am amazed that the boss spent so much time talking and trying to convince you of his location and intent.
I think that all the talk about reporting Scammers to Police and such is taken with a grain of salt...everyone it seems is in on the business getting kick backs left right and center.
The more raids the more money in the pocket of the authorities who release the scammers so that they can go back and scam again, get caught again etc etc.
He really ended it with "thank you for choosing".. But, you never did, you confronted him very well with facts, and he still actually believes you are buying his bait. That logic (or lack thereof) hurts my head.

He, like many of his kind will deny concrete evidence cause they're illogical scumbags who have no sense of reasoning and therefore will do terrible things like scamming innocent people. When I was young and dumb and gullible, yeah. I grew out of that though by around age 19.

You must admire that guy for his 100% resilience and persistent denial against everything you could throw against him. He would not depart from his script by a single word. He even thanked you at the end for calling. Being plainly caught out by an obvious expert you would think he would have gone to pieces, got angry, or at least put the phone down, but no, he was never going to give it up.

One of my favourite parts about these videos is when Jim asks the scammer the time and they always reply with “wait a minute” and then the sound of furious keyboard smashing.
Someone pulls out a gun in a jewelry store and shouts: "This is NOT a robbery! Now hand over the gold so we can clean up your store!"

(i will argue about anything with anyone) i see the line of reasoning he is coming from. its not a scam because he is providing tech support. not a removal service. his job isn't to remove any backdoors or viruses. it is simply to support you through this hard, scary situation. just because you are ignorant to what is happening around you doesn't mean they are not providing you with services they said they would. like with everythng. it comes down to loop holes in the english language

One thing I have to ask. When they tell you that they are Microsoft Certified why don't you ask them for their certification number. A real certified tech would gladly give you the number and wait while you check with Microsoft to verify that the tech is Microsoft certified. I've worked for many computer companies that deal with certified techs and we always asked for the number to verify the validity.
I am just wondering what you think this would do .. All they have to do is 1 .. make up a number or 2 .. acquire a Valid number from a REAL certified tech because according to you a real tech would simply provide their number so it would be no secret ... and then everyone in India / / would use that ' Valid ' Id as their ID and they would all become legit in your eyes because they had a number that says they are certified.... Maybe you realized how silly that was after you typed it out.

What I love about these videos you've been doing is to open our eyes to how devious these scammers are but, and it's a big BUT, they're clever enough to entrap the innocent but they're also quick to learn from your questions to them. I wonder if it's best to just mention certain actions but keep some info to your self??.... I know you want to expose these barstewards and I would love for you to hack into their machines (though it's an illegal act to do so ((unless you get their permission one way or other)) ) and copy all their files, their exact location, their bosses etc and display them to every police department around the world..... I live in hope they get caught and made to pay for their actions and refund everyone who got caught...

Everyone has a story of a close friend or family member being scammed by these vultures. They deserve the upmost public embarrassment, to be indefinitely labelled a fraudulent criminal, and to be shamed and exposed within their society by their angry and embarrassed peers.
