Yamaha MT07 vs KTM Duke 690: short and long curves, acceleration

Two very nice bikes to play with. In my opinion the KTM Duke is faster in short curves. The MT07 is the better bike for longer trips.

Maybe the reason why the KTM seemed faster was the 07 being over revved, and out of it's powerband ?

+ylism Exactly. He hit the limiter in 2nd. You want to shift before 9,000rpm really. It runs out of pull quickly after that.
Good bottom end - Strong midrange - No top end!
