I discovered DGR back in the summer of 2019 when I was watching my grandkids for the summer and we would watch DGR videos together every morning. Since then DGR has become a part of my morning routine, get up & make coffee then kick back and watch a DGR video before heading off to work.
I think I started watching DGR since at least March 3rd, 2019. That was back in his Mario Maker Wii U days.
Same here but in 2023. I watch him while having breakfast.

That Ryu level is right up his alley. Precision is his calling card/forte. Ryu is absolutely phenomenal and probably the best precision player in Mario Maker. He also loves playing these style of levels. I'm guessing that was the Super World dedicated to him...I figured he already played it though.
Even the people who are GOOD at #TS levels still GRIND those levels to beat them...for hours.
Ryu does like precision levels.
To be fair about the part at 22:45 the problem is not an skill ceiling, i would rather say its playing troll level so much they doesnt increases your skill its just pick a path with an twist, if you just play super expert you become automatically better over time but that becomes frustrating and is very grindy and i dont think DGR is someone who likes that. So what i wanna say is just hudreds of hours playing doesnt make you better, it rather depends on what you do with these hours.
I thought that P Switch level looked familiar. Moyako is a great level creator. He frequently comes to my streams to have me play his levels. This was definitely one of his great ones.

That's probably why I enjoy watching your stuff; you're better at it then I am, so I get to see more levels, but not so insanely good that I can't even follow what you're doing anymore ;)

Not sure if it is Nintendo being lazy, or it is done this way to make it easier for peoples to remember, but majority of items in any mario game are name as they look.
P switch is a switch with a big P on it, and that's why it is called P switch, simple as that lol

Do more Kaizo levels! And Super expert uncleared levels. I have a cool level series like that where each one is meticulously designed with a single theme/element in mind which I stick with. For example the main ones in the series involve mastering the craziness of boxes and my latest one switches boxes out for bombs. The bomb one is a bomb diffuse hot potato type level. The first box one involves scoring goals with boxes but you also cant stop or you will die.
