LegendarySkypenis thank you. However practice practice practice ... Not just for BLC, but even just for knowledge. When you are in a position where you have to march other people

For those of you who say that pressing of uniform is not authorized. Read your AR 670-1 a little closer. "Professionally Pressed" and "Starched" is not authorized. I press my own uniforms at home and get the same look as professionally pressed from a distance.
Career Soldier Absolutely, especially with the newer ACUs (with the buttons on the cargo pockets - they also have insect repellant built in). However, the FR ACUs can turn orange/pink under a hot iron and A2CUs shouldn't be pressed. I iron my regular ACUs. Feels good to look good, especially in uniform. I retired in 1998. I still press (starch) my duty uniform and highly shine my footgear. My co-workers' footgear scream "kiwi". I still worry about my gig line.

You can tell that it’s a continuation upon the Civil War era drill. They have ‘fall in’ ‘count ‘ ‘dress right dress’. It’s just that there’s modern adaptions like keeping distance and counting upwards instead of One’s and Two’s. They still sort by height. By file left/right is now column left/right. Marching by the flank is different I think... I should read more about it. Right about march is now ‘Rear’. So ye, very similar.
Question: Let's say I want to inspect that my squad has a document in their top, left uniform pocket (orders, medical form, etc.) that they should all have on them on duty. When in the inspection process should I ask for the document (I assume while facing the soldier)? How should the command be given to produce the document? Should I order all soldier to get out the document at the same time or one by one as I inspect them?
4:52 into the video the squad leader is given the command of March the squad by the SGL. The squad and squad leader are at the position of At Ease. I thought the squad first had to be brought to the POA then given the command to March the squad. its been awhile so I may be wrong
American military drill had always intrigued me. It is so different, even the similar movements seem do alien. The turns on the march a cool. Do you guys not do wheels or forms? Is your drill pam available in the public domain?
Some can be done on either foot, such as quick-time, double-time, route-step, and mark-time, but you'll always begin marching on the left foot and all facing movements should be done on the same foot you're turning towards. The reason is that the next movement isn't to execute the movement, it's a step. This is to bring your opposite foot forward and give you stability while pivoting. Think 'step-turn' in your head.
Hey thanks I haven’t been to the NCO Academy in a lot of years so in case I need to start a new army 😂. The only time we ever did this stuff in the Air Force was basic training our Academy schools when we hit different ranks and then I had one ceremony where I actually had to remember everything out in the real world once but that was it after 22 years. It’s kind of hard to remember everything when you only do it once every seven years. I forgot about all the other commands, like counting off, which we didn’t do except in basic training from what I can remember. Excepted basic train. No one ever looked at the ranks in that detail.. there’s things that you’re doing that I only remember ever doing once in the Air Force
Nayuta Kani nope. TC 3-21.5, chapter 4, section 6 reads “To Halt while marching, the command Squad (Platoon), HALT is given. The preparatory command Squad (Platoon) is given as either foot strikes the marching surface as long as the command of execution HALT is given the next time that same foot strikes the marching surface.”
I'm going to BLC soon. Can someone please tell me about any websites, videos, tutorials or any information that can help me to be successful. Any help will be appreciated.
I think if that were the case, his commands would've been more precisely synchronized with when the squad members' feet (left or right) were hitting the deck. This looked very much Army to me...going through the motions but lacking gusto and precision.
