Bottom line, GTA V Online will still be relevant well into GTA 6's lifetime. There are so many heists, businesses, jobs, races, and unique vehicles that GTA 6 won't have at launch that will keep people playing.
we don't really know that, they have the experience now on what they know gta online players want, they could possibly have been working on 6 online concurrently with 6 and could possibly have a lot of content already planned.
Maybe for someone that hasn’t played before but as someone with around 2300 hours, I can’t wait to leave it behind. Also won’t be making the mistake of moving to pc from Xbox. They didn’t even transfer my level 500 account
Doubt they’ll have EVERYTHING, but definitely they’ll have a narrative and some business and heists at the start, but then again GTAO is their money maker, so maybe they will go all in on the online mode
@@gta5gameplay581 I don't know if you've played any new-release video games in the last 10 years. They launch at full price with skeleton content. We're robbing liquor stores until 2027 man.
@berkk29 exactly. I am 95% a PC player. But I moved from old gen xbox to PC thinking it was the right move. It wasn't. Now I'm on PS5 because I felt I was missing out on the current gen features. So gta 6 I'll be playing on ps5 as well.
After seeing the GTA 6 trailer, I started playing GTA 5 again. I can see now why, 10 years later, Rockstar hasn’t moved on from 5. 5 is huge. Gigantic. There’s so much to see and do online. 5 is a masterpiece and Rockstar put a lot of work and dedication into it, so of course they weren’t just gonna go right into 6. They made an entire civilization within the game. A giant location. I’m having a blast in Los Santos. Started my Acid with your Acid Lab guide video. Thanks, TGG
@@blackt33thdevilit has a great story I have at least beat it 7 times because I use to not have internet so I would play gtav story all the time on my ps4 You should try playing red dead redemption 2 if you haven’t already
@@blackt33thdevil Same I bought it a few months ago but haven't finished the story. I had already got it spoilt (mostly the ending) and a few missions in between. But Online is so fucking good lmao earlier I used to think why is GTA Online so hyped, when I started playing myself, then only did I realize why.
It's going to get to the point where there is no point playing GTA Online that much with all the weekly caps and huge cooldowns. Soon it's probably only going to be worth playing a few hours a week.
The cool down times are absolutely crazy and unacceptable. I’ve spent literally thousands of hours and hundreds of dollars on this game and I can’t replay anything and grind as much as I should be able to. It’s funny how this happened after they made decent money making methods in the game finally in the last few years. Why even bother if they put so much restrictions on everything. At least a couple years ago I could make as much as I could grind in a day. But half the time I feel I’m just driving back and forth without much to do.
@@Daza-La yeah for sure the missions/heists are the best part. I loved the drug wars update for that reason. I had so much fun doing the Dax stuff (not the fooligans missions) but the main missions were mostly very fun.
@Daza-La That's not dumb at all. We make our own fun. And truth be told, I've done the same thing and had more fun than replaying the base game's campaign. Lately, I've been trying to work out the order of contact missions/businesses/heists that feels like a natural "story" progression of street thug to kingpin.
1:16 PC player here! So long as you like playing solo in private lobbies and/or have some friends who play GTAO on PC, I think it's still worth playing the game.
picked the game up with two other friends in a private lobby we all started with the criminal emterprize pack, 1 mil each, we started a couple days ago planning for a heist, bought a crib fun game 8/10
As someone who put the game down in 2015 after playing it via ps3 I bought a ps5 2 months ago and the first game I bought was gta 5 the changes that are made are insane I think it's worth playing especially if you took a 8 year break from gaming in general.
Agreed. Similar position myself on PS4. All my time so far has been in the snow and it's been glorious, it's exactly the festive gaming experience I was in the mood for. Turn off the in-game music and put on a classic christmas album..... no better BGM for automatic gunfire.
Lowkey I feel the same, I stopped playing GTA online in 2015 on my PS3 and I started again just last year on pc and It's pretty cool, it has changed a lot over the years
As a new solo player I’ve been finding myself do “side quests” which keep the game fresh; like going after collectibles/playing games like darts or golf/taxi missions. Plus I have found myself occasionally helping others out like using a helicopter to scoop up people n drop them off inside the get their impound cars or provide air support when they move around products. It’s a game within a game.
Same here. I'll call them the oppressor, deluxo, chopper, insurgent pickup or something to throw some support and hope to make a friend lol. I'm on old gen Xbox if you ever wanna play. Lmk
I didn’t start online gaming until October last year, I got obsessed with GTA online. 14 months later and I can’t last 10 minutes on it now. Mental how people have played it religiously for 10 years and not got bored 😂
love the channel. bought the game at release and played on ps4. finished single player and put it aside because online was way too limited. then it went on sale for free on epic games in 2020 for PC. perfect timing and to see the difference from then till now is insane. GTA ONLINE changed everything. congratulations Rockstar. thank you TGG for all ur awesome videos.
After gta 6 trailer released, i'm recently playing gta vice city again. And the bussinesses missions are really enjoyable. After that, i'm finally play gta online again after didn't play it for 2 years. Now i'm just playing bussinesses just for having fun with the missions, not for the money. Of course because i'm addicted to vice city's bussinesses missions. And what i'm just realised is that the missions in gta online are really fun if u didn't play it for money. So yeah if u wanna play gta online in a solo session and making that an "offline game" for your own, tbh it's really fun to play. But if u wanna play with friends in a public session just for messing around and do a lot of stuffs like race or whatever, it's really fun too. Or even it's more fun than playing for solo. So it's a win win solution for me either way :)
Being a solo player i played this entire game literally alone. Aside from heists with randoms. I say that as a solo it is kind a relaxing listening to music and casually doing things its calming. And i own everything and everything 😁 no sharks bought.
With the amount of encouragement there is for greifing in GTA online, taking it slow or relaxing in a public session is not an option, and in many instances there's no fighting back. Solo sessions gives you the opportunity to enjoy the game by yourself for yourself, and this is also my prefered play style; spending 2/3 the time fighting irritating children with over powered arsenal is not the reason most folks gets into GTA Online.
Same here, and I play on pc. These people crying about the griefers crack me up. They can easily go to a private session to play solo and not have to worry about the cheaters and then join a public session to just F around.
Just got the game and damn the online is hard…ppl suggest dax mission for earning money but I SUCK and can’t complete them without failing like 10 times :’)
GTA 6 trailer made me jump back on GTA 5 Online for the first time since it first came out for PC. Me and my brother played for like 6 months straight when it came out for PC and then just put it down and haven't played since. After getting back on its so much fun! The Nightclub, all the MC businesses, the acid lab, the agency. Its all fun and makes you all the money you need
Same! I stopped playing for about a year. I've had my online account since 2015 and while it's always been fun, I was burnt out from it. Always good to take a break to remember how much you enjoy something.
@@shaneh3109 invite only sessions are pretty much the only way. Modders are in every lobby nowadays. Just whether or not they're fuckin with you is the only variable.
Started gtao in gta4 era (wasnt called gtao but whatever) the original 2013-2015 experience was about the same + a few missions and a few races, PvP sorta. I stopped playing in 2014 for a while, logging in for a week or so after DLCs. I started actually playing after Biker and I/E DLC came, then the meta started changing, more business oriented MMO+ mess around. but I started playing in Inv only session more and more, only going to public session and just kicking everyone by unplugging my PC for like 7sec to make sure no one blew me up. at that point my old friends never came online, so mainly played with randoms, which I still do help out with heists and made some good friends. But those friends stopped playing after the pandemic so back to on my own. But thanks to the QOL update from last year or so I was playihg online solo full time. it still feels like singleplayer game, and really the online aspect only means I cannot someitmess join or session drops. It has been really long and weird path that this game has taken, but yea I still play for no particualr reason. Chop shop DLC is super fun tho.
I've just started playing again recently. And it's so wonderful. I'm low-key. Enjoy the grind and I have friends to play with. But I also like to be solo sometimes. And that's how I found you
I picked it back up a few weeks ago (taking a destiny 2 break) and delighted by the invite only option so I can actually do stuff without griefing. I guess I hadn't played it much since release and finishing the single player campaign. Used to be big into the online racing in 4 but 5 just didn't click for me. Got a handful of business going in gta 5 in a fairly short time, making millions and have not done a heist yet. Got the oppressor mk2 and having a blast just re-experiencing the map with that and expediting missions. Great guides!!!
Honestly, for me; finding a balance with playing this game & not just sitting in my room all day. Doing something else after school instead of just hoping online. Like playing other things, going for walks/bike rides, doing chores, hanging out with friends. I need to remind myself that there is more to do than this decade old lowkey mid game.
Online is also for a large majority a SEQUEL to GTA V. And some dlc takes place 5 to 8 years AFTER gta online. After hours is 2018 to now. Franklin missions and the dr dre missions where he's in the office are set in December 2021 so that's essentially 8 years after the events of 5. It is for all intense and purposes. A sequel. Long story short. The bottom line is online and its missions take place 5 to 8 years AFTER GTA 5 to the present day.
in regards to modders, some are friendlies and some aren't, which is why I try to stay on invite only sessions, sometimes its easier to play the game that way
I remember when you did your go kart challenge with your friends, trying to keep them from killing you, I laughed my butt off watching that, I'd forgotten about that till just now. Thanks for the smile man, you done good ! The advice given here is spot on.
Im over 2,000 hours deep now, iv only been playing 11 months but i still enjoy it and spending hours at a time jamming. Too much grinding does get boring but with over 200 owned vehicles, there is still plenty to do. Your content is top notch there fella, keep it coming 👌🏻
I’m at the point where I’ll hop on for a few days in intervals throughout the year but there’s nothing making me want to play like I did in the beginning. For us who’ve been playing gta 5 since the original 2013 release, our lives have changed, we’ve grown… well some of us.
dude. no joke i started playing just 3 weeks ago. hard grinded and am already past lvl 50 and am starting to get bored. wasnt sure if it was cause im a solo player or i just played TOO much, but im glad this vid came out cause its convinced me to just ease up on the game cause there really isnt that much to do anymore
My long take... While GTA Online isn't an MMO and doesn't have a monthly fee (GTA+ is optional), it can still burn up a significant amount of gaming time, depending on which activities you engage in, especially since the game is now solo friendly. I had gone to the trouble of envisioning an RP character when I first started only to find out that the world wasn't persistent like an MMO and I'm still bummed about that; while you run into some of the same jokers periodically, players mostly seem random, including all the pre-teens of bad parents. There is a tremendous amount of content, and generally the GTA humor and acting voice work is pretty good, but a lot of it can feel like lazy mission rehashes when it comes to many of the businesses, so you need to be honest with yourself if you are having fun sometimes and be choosy about activities. Personally, I still enjoy driving around and managing my empire for a bit and collecting the two freebie cars each week as it is something I can do casually while also browsing my laptop. Heists, which should be one of the big draws and the reason I initially got reinterested are mostly content for Fail Army unless you have at least one friend, though many take a communicating crew and after one time you probably won't do them again; Cayo Perico used to be awesome, but is less fun / rewarding than even six months ago, let alone when it came out. The shooting in GTA V is still completely terrible and the NPCs are aimbots that seem unchanged from the PS3 days, so get used to rolling, eating food, and putting vests on regularly if you do missions involving gunplay. Public lobbies on console are a mixed bag. While you can collect a huge number of vehicles, the vast majority are unusable in the actual missions, including races which generally have vehicle type restrictions like Sport, Super, etc. PS owners, if you don't have the PS5 version, it is a dramatic upgrade from earlier versions and I would recommend getting it just to replay the Story or part of the story, depending on how much time you have. GTA Online is also dramatically different and if you were playing before, you might want to just forget about your old character and start a new one, making sure to choose the Nightclub as that is the BEST and the other starters aren't even remotely as good for building up your empire.
@@chrisanderson2056 I mean yes and no you only make roughly 1M a week with that business which if u don't take new players into fact that's horrible cause I can make 6.5M a day In gta with all my businesses and you have to wait a week for the 3 cars to regenerate🤷🏻♂️ but up to you I would say invest in the Bunker and meth or Coke instead of meth also do the Dax missions to get a free acid business
@@thaddeusgreen-kg7ww The loading times alone makes it worth it. PS4 is unplayable. I do sometimes just sit and marvel at the graphics especially after the rain.
I know so many people just started using Yim a few days ago bc job warp was patched. I think R* is leading to more modders, idk why they patched it, it's such a timesaver for us grinders... and honestly I still need mod not to mess with others but just to protect myself from others. (SB prot dll is what I use, it merely blocks some connections, doesn't do anything else)
...I have sadly become a Solo Player in recent years...all my friends left me...and I am exactly the guy you described when you mentioned solo grinding...
Ive been sad because none of my friends play GTA so Ive been solo too. But after reaching the top and having everything, I asked myself what next? I like to bring people together in lobbies and screw around, host a race to the top of Mount Chillead, a limo escort, a car meet or a plane ride on the illustrious luxor deluxe! I swear, I've had more fun with randoms than real friends. You chose your own path, one that's not clearly made by Rockstar - make it fun like XpertThief and troll of like JMW Films and RP or take a route like The Professional and grind your life away 😂 Hang in there dawg 🤟🏼
I believe it can be unforgettable, with friends in an Invite Only lobby or where people aren't using OP vehicles, when it's balanced to be challenging but reasonable. (Why did) I moved here (I guess it was) Gunrunning, and I think the best era of this game was on Import/Export, where the most OP thing was the Ruiner 2000 but you could headshot the driver or RPG it and not get Homing Missile'd if you were on foot
I really, as a solo player still enjoy hoping on and grinding. I know it would be more fun with friends, but can't get friends to see it the same way. Still so many things to do on here for sure.
And tbh if you are a random player, not high kd, not a youtuber, not a low level, modders will most likely not even look at you, only time i got griefed by a modder i started joking about the situation and he ended up helping me with the rest of my mission Most modders i encountered were friendly and only spawned car so everyone could drift in the session, or spawn some props to decorate a car meet at lsc
I have 236 days in GTA online and it's just a comfort game at this point. Getting on and money grinding is second nature to me, and I'm just as balanced at PvP. I'm currently rank 941 (599 frew rank) with close to 300 million dollars.
Thanks for another amazing vid! It would be cool to play all heists in solo mode one day, with coop npcs, something like they did with ghost recon wildlands..
Looking forward to Chop Shop as been saving hard about $500k off so shouldn’t take long . I usually go to the night club so will be nice to have something different 😃
@@robertdocherty2340 for money you should get the Agency, okey solo money. The nightclub is expensive to estate. I would bet on Agency, Chop Shop for the good DLC that it is, and Cayo even if they nerfed the income by time restrictions. Plus there is a lot of events to partake in, that pays 30-50 thousand for a few minutes participation. Easy to grind. Finish flight school with gold grades and so on
I dont think many legit players are playing in public lobbies, it is easy to avoid modders on PC. First thing I do when I load up GTAO is get in a private lobby or a crew lobby with friends.
I am legit > lvl 500 on PC. Since level 100 I search for pvp in public sessions. I killed players and kept fighting them, if they started to fight back - if not I moved on to the next promising one. (Never destroyed cargo or so) The opportunities of GTA online was the thing I liked. I am talking not about the boring sniper-wiggling. I mean everything. I like pvp WITH my friends against others. Not against my friends in private sessions. And by time passing the modder problem got worse and worse. Nowadays every third player (on average) is using a mod menue. The game is dead for me.
@@sparkplug161 I grinded fun money making methods solo that were actually decent for a few months and got hella cars but I just got burnt out quickly. I'll always like GTA Online but I'd go insane if I had to play it every day
I am a solo player and I do have a lot of fun with this game. It actually got a lot more fun for me when we started getting more solo activities like starting with Cayo, the Auto Shop and the Agency, so I could do the business life on my own. Sometimes it feels like a bit of a grind, but not so much that I'd stop playing for more than a week or so.
I bought gta for the first time about 6 weeks ago. I loved the story mode a played through it quickly. I started online with the starter pack and followed tgg’s guide for solo players and have had so much fun. I was surprised by how easy it is to get rich solo. I have had fun with friends and would definitely recommend it
I got gta 5 in its time. I pre ordered it and went to the midnight launch and played it when it came out on release day in September 2013. I played the whole story and then played online roughly... late November, maybe December 2013. I remember gta online in its inception very well. Unfortunately, sometime before or after Xmas in 2013. My Xbox 360 got E74 and died. So I lost everything. 7 and a half years later, in July 2021, I got back into it and bought an xbox One for my bday. Got gta 5. Played it again. Then, I played online. And I've been playing it ever since. I upgraded my xbox one to a series s in February of this year and enjoyed a lot of cool things you get when you upgrade to next gen console. In just over 2 and a half years. I've pretty much beaten if not the whole game. Then at least 90 to 95 percent of the entire game. I've done almost everything in gta online. And I mean almost literally everything. Every mission every heist, you name it I've done it. Aside from maybe a few. I've beaten and completed like 90 to 95 percent of the game. In just over 2 years. There's really not much at all that I HAVEN'T done. From humble beginnings and fond memories in December 2013 to now. I've been proud and happy to play and be part of this phenomenal game that is gta online. It is truly something else. The overall LAYOUT and composition of online is very much like how it was exactly back in 2013. But rockstar have just built from that. Go rockstar
Seriously, without the guides i would have lost interest long ago. Because some stuff is tedious to figure out. Thanks tgg. Btw atm doing full lobby sales is the most exciting thing in the game for me. With strategy and skill, 9 out of 10 sales go well. Maybe a video guide for this would be popular ?
I imagine there are many players like me: thoroughly enjoyed the single player at launch, dabbled in Online before Heists, and have been hearing about GTA updates for years. So now its on PS Plus we're checking it out again. I picked up the Criminal Enterprise Starter Pack to jumpstart my year and I'm glad I did. These last 10 days have been a lot of fun, though I'd like to meet some other PS4 players to do Jobs with.
Hey man! I started playing some days ago as well. Broke my foot, so seating for some weeks to come. Would you like to do the heists together? I know absolutely no one that plays games lol lmk
GTA V Online is 100% better with friends. My bestfriend had a kid so you know how that goes, my other buddies play on PC, I’m happy with my Xbox or waiting to get a next gen when GTA6 is close. Definitely miss the old days but it’s fun to join groups on Xbox and random car meets, just isn’t the same. I have every business in the game but after watching this video I want to so start a level 1 account, especially since you can do everything in a invite only lobby
I'm kind of surprised hearing you dropped the game for awhile. I started playing Online in 2016 despite having the game since launch because I wanted to 100% Story first before engaging in online expecting my experience was going to be getting countlessly destroyed by randos. Instead I ended up playing in crew only sessions with 2 close friends, but even earning our 1st million was a nightmarish chore of grinding Titan of a Job, selling Sandkings and repeating the Fleeca Job. We ended up dropping the game because it was always hours of grinding just to buy 1 vehicle or worthless property. Fast forward to 2022 and 1 friend and I came back out of curiosity just before the Drug Wars content, and where completely shocked by how we could play together in a closed session and earn hundreds of millions of dollars and buy almost anything in the game after only a 4 hour session. It really has become much less grindy of an experience and that gave us room an incentive to start playing content we otherwise would have never even touched do to the piss poor payout not being worth the time. Imo nowadays if you work together with even a single friend you can work to build each other up, be patient and wait for sales, and try to complete as much as possible it can be an amazing game, where instead of trying to flex your wealth, you can have fun with crazy stuff like trying to land a helicopter or Deluxo or Oppressor on a high speed jet, try to stealth kill all the guards in Cayo or harrass the police and pedestrians of Los Santos with the Up-and-Atomizer or Snowball launcher, without having money as an obstacle or having to buy Shark Cards
Yeah I only play for new content I am curious about. Don't really care about all new vehicles its all the same just different look. If you had one super car you basically had them all.
For all new players I will recommend after grinding tons of missions get a good rest for 2-3 hours or play other games cause you will get bored and it will also effect your free Roam joys for example: You bought a car but never ride it or you have only customised it then if you take that car outside after grinding hours of missions and you get bored then yea driving your new car will be also boring.
This is why I do saving sprees/spending sprees. Once I’m over 50 million I quit grinding. Then after a day or so in real life taking a break I come back on and go spending. Enjoying free roam with new stuff.
I’m a solo player and to be honest I’ve gotten used to the grind, sometimes it gets annoying because all that money can go away in a few purchases but if you find a method to the madness it becomes easy to do the grind.
One thing worth noting- even the single solo heist does encourage some multiplayer elements to optimise it- you can't get the phantom wedge to make the boat retrieval easier without having a second player for example. It's not "needed", but it certainly helps.
I got really into GTA5 Online during COVID. I had tried it when it first came out, and was just totally lost at what I could even do. Didn’t want to research anything at the time. I quit playing at like level 24 with basically nothing but an apartment. When I started again, I watched TGG videos, and got hella into it. I did the Rags to Riches guide, and within two weeks of pretty intense gaming, I was setup! Then I watched TGG guides on heists and got even more into it. I would love to be new again and go through all of that. Now I own everything I could want, and some days it is rough to stay online without friends to play with.
I've been playing this game for a few years and I've been doing the Cargo & Vehicle Warehouse all the time (because CEO Office was free) and I would grind money from there so I could have money and my first car Zentorno (I didn't know better way to grind money). So, when I had my Zentorno, I would play a lot of races from the playlist and from the Rockstar playlist on the site with wallride, stunt races, etc or just ride on the map and having some sort of the fun. After that I learned about Cayo Perico Heist from a random player so he gave me like 30% of the first heist, so I grinded these two and some side missions to buy Kosatka and the Sparrow. After that I've been doing Cayo Perico Heist over and over again. I also had Arcade but for the Casino Heist I had to have another player with me, so I didn't do it much. I was around 20 millions when I stopped playing the game. After a year, I came back and learned about MC Business and their connection with the Nightclub, then the Auto Shop and its heists and side missions, so I've started grinding them. In the first day I've spent everything to buy them all. My first wish was to grind them so hard so I could get my money back as fastest as possible (I don't know if that's an OCD but I hate having no money at all). MC Business (5 of them) will give you around 1.6 million on Invite Only Lobby, so probably 2-2.5 million on a public lobby. So I've been doing them all day long, day after day until I earned my money back. Usually I was doing them on an Invite Only Lobby because it would constantly give me 3 vehicles or even 4 to deliver and I couldn't do it on Public Lobby because while I'm done with the first or first two, some player would destroy the remaining vehicles. The only Sell Missions I couldn't finish in time was the Post Office delivery (I managed to get 13/15 deliveries with it). Imagine my happiness when I saw only one delivery for the Nightclub and for 2 millions. It amazed me. Then I found out about Acid Lab, damn, I was happy I could resupply from the Phone and spawn its Lab anywhere on the map and that the delivery would always be on one motorcycle. Amazing. So basically, in time, I stopped or lowered the amount of selling missions from the MC Business because of how much time it takes me to deliver them all besides the Nightclub and the Acid Lab, but at that time I had grinded so much money that I could buy almost whatever I wanted. I always waited for the discounts on things I wanted to buy, for example, I've bought Hangar, Facility, Avenger, Yacht, Deluxo Helicopter (for these two I regret spending money on it), a lot of great cars etc. Now I have 'everything' besides of what I want as well such as Agency, Arena War Workshop, Toreador and MK2 Opressor that I wait for the discount and around 60 'spare' millions. Of all the things I've bought so far, I haven't tried any of the Facility Heists (I heard I need players for it), the Avenger heist or jobs I don't know what it gives, and I think that is it. So now what I do when I enter the game is next - I go to my Hangar to pay Rooster to find a Cargo, then I go to the two of my Warehouses to pay them to find a Cargo, then I go to the Nightclub to bring up the Popularity and possibly empty the Safe, then I go to the Salvage Yard to get two vehicles for the Salvage part and empty the Safe if needed, also if new vehicles are out for the steal missions I'd do them, then I would call Mutt to resupply Acid Lab and from time to time I'd go to my Arcade to resupply every MC Business and the Bunker with the Master Control Terminal (such a shame I didn't know this was an option like years ago). When I do all of that I would either sell the Acid, maybe sell business or two, do some side missions and drive around the city. Now I feel like I am loosing interest in playing GTA like the last time I did because it is fun to play alone for a while but not on the long term. I wish I had someone to play with me, everything would be much easier. For example selling missions for the MC Business alone would take me 2- 2.5 hours and with a friend it would take me like an hour or so. We would play a lot of heists, selling my warehouses and then his, playing races, driving around the city, etc. But yes, as TGG said, there are a lot of modders in the game that will ruin your experience for no reason, also a lot of griefers. I wish the things were different but they are not.
Just started playing GTA 5 again for the first time in over 8 years. My first time jumping into online and trying to get through some content before 6 comes out. I'm on PC and loving it! I only play invite only sessions and enjoy the MMO aspects. Been following a lot of guides and enjoying the streets of Los Santos! It's only 20 bucks and I started with 6m so it's been a blast.
Same began online play again about two months ago and have grinded the shit out of it and gained Huge wealth and rep... Mainly play invite only but this xmas I've enjoyed public lobby events for the first time ever without it feeling toxic. Drifting is great. The xmas content is actually pretty fun and pays well for once, some being 3x cash.... < should always be this payout, makes it worthwhile as when you stop the grind on businesses to play events it costs approx 1 million you could be making hourly.
I stopped playing in 2015 once I graduated college. It was until 2020, I got back into it. Great way to destress at the end of the day. Looking forward to GTA6
In regards to myself I've only really been active on GTA Online for 4 years. 2013-15 then came back spring of 2021-present whenever there's a DLC. First 2 years was a balance of playing solo and with friends. Now I mainly play solo but sometimes chill with randoms in freeroam.
2024. Find the balance. Hit the gym, hike, play something else. I stopped playing from 2018 - 2022 & just this year I started playing again, feels like I’m re living my teenage years lol
Going to level with you here…. I stopped playing because every update was just a slight rehash of the last update. Then they removed half the cars and I haven’t picked it up since.
PC isn't too bad if you just stick to invite only sessions lmao, But public lobbies on PC are a coin flip yeah either no one's tryna grief or everyone is and if they are its with mods
yeah but if you play invite only it's not exactly gta online it's just gta offline, not even storymode, the whole fun of the game is playing content with others
@zzurved you can still queue up for the mission based stuff with others but some things yeah you're gonna have to miss out on unless you find friends to do it with
@@zzurved Yeah shit sucks, there aren't too many good public FiveM servers either that aren't blatant P2W nonsense or just unmoderated garbage and trash RP
Right now it's the best time to start playing it on console if you haven't played gta online before. Rockstar has finally dealt with all the god mode griefers and they finally nerfed jet cannons. Now the lobbies are a lot more peaceful. So you can do your jobs and drive around without having to worry about other people as much. When i first started playing gta online a few years ago it was literally hell.
I pretty much stopped playing like last year and I only come back for new updates at this point. It’s been nice to branch out to different games while waiting for GTA 6 to drop.
As someone who has been playing GTA Online since early 2014, I can tell that I had so much fun with the game. This is what I am looking for in online games: constant fun over many years. I am so glad that I did money glitches and never had to grind. Call yourself a true grinder or whatever if you never did glitches. That grind is literally one of the worst parts of the game and it probably wasted a lot of your life time where you could have done other fun activities wheter it's in real life or other games
I'm a solo player - and only started playing online back in August. It it indeed a grind - the contract DLC makes it bearable, and the Chop Shop DLC isn't bad... But I had to grind for a good few days to buy a salvage yard, and one of the new cop cars.. It's fun, but it has limitations.
I just started gta online this week and it's been really fun but I have nobody to play with so it can get boring and expessially the grinds. I do find the grinding worth it as buying cars and properties is very very rewarding and I love missions too.
If you buy a couple shark cards at the start just to get a few million you can grind after that. Helps a lot owning a few big ticket items like the oppresser for travel time for missions and bit safer. The office to be a ceo and couple businesses
One of the reasons I put the game down originally was the tone change after the doomsday heist. This game went from being about crime and cars and more about oppressors and flying cars. Hopefully GTA VI online returns to a more “realistic” tone and sticks to the stuff that made us fall in love with GTA in the first place.
As a GTA Online player on PC, I earned almost 800M for almost 2 years of grinding, which is great, and all the same missions I used to play didn't get boring, I just earned and collected..
I started playing back in 2020 with friends on the ps4 and now almost all of my friends are on the ps5 version, so that we can continue to just mess around and have fun every now and then , but now days i mainly just hop on just to grind
I’ve played GTA Online pretty much since launch with so many different friend groups from PS3 to Xbox One. I recently got a Series X over the summer and I’m waiting to see if my friends want to get the game again on Xbox Series. I’ve talked to them and we’re probably going to get it again because it is just so much fun and it’s such a legendary game. If I didn’t have friends to play it with though I probably wouldn’t buy it for a third time.
Played on the ps4 when the game first came out. Once i got through the single player game i had a go at the online game. I didn't know any else who played it and i felt it wasnt really solo friendly . A friend convinced me to get back on it early this year. Generally I enjoyed it but certain glitches are a pain. Might consider a next gen console for the game. Its a lot better with friends though.
I feel like cayo perico was a test dlc for gta 6 that ended up staying due to success on traveling to a different location. Never know we might have more than one city in the future on gta 6.
6.5k hrs showing for me and I still play. Right now I’m on the way to GTAV platinum number 3. Online can be really dull so I try to vary what I do. Being loaded with $$$s definitely helps quell the boredom.
You nailed it, I had thousands of hours in the game and I come from an MMO background like you say, I play ESO a lot. So I like to grind my ass off and show off my accomplishments. But when the years passed by most of my friends and friends of friends just lost interest in the game and stopped playing. Because they are the types that play COD or FIFA. There’s not really a lot to do solo besides grind. When I grind in a game like ESO there’s tons of stuff to do after the grind is done. GTA not so much. I only have like 2-3 friends who still even own the game. It’s like real life, the more souls, the merrier. I see GTAO more as an activity to do with friends, it’s a perfect hangout place. Instead of going bowling together or going to get drinks. You can hangout after a 12 hour shift with your pals in this game and have a great time. Wouldn’t recommend for NEW solo players.
My homies and I haven’t played GTA online in a couple years but with the GTA 6 trailer coming out? Me and the homies made new characters and swore that we would grind together for the rest of the year until GTA6 comes out. It’s been fun. Pleasantly surprised upon arrival
As a solo player, the grind you have to go through is nowhere near as awful as it was 5 years ago when I started playing. Nowadays, it is far more manageable and less tedious because of all the new, quick ways to earn decent cash, getting a business early more less than 1 Mil. And best of all, you can do it in peace.
I do play the game on PC and the thing about modders and all that stuff is definitely true, which is why I put the game down years ago, but I started playing again like 2 years ago and I have to say, since you're actually able to do most things in e.g. invite only lobbies it became much better on PC. Only downside is that you kinda need people to play with because Solo only is boring and kinda pointless imo, but if you have that, it's a really cool game
I have the game downloaded on my pc as well, but I still try to avoid it because of the IP leaking problem that it has. There are some articles that say that the game is safe in a invite or solo crew lobby, but then on the other hand I've read some articles that say that these private lobbies are not safe either because people are still able to join a private session somehow. I've also read that there are some mod menus that work their way around VPN's now. Have you had any problems like these when you play in solo servers, or am I just being overly paranoic?
I am new to the whole franchise and yes I play mostly alone because of the hackers and griefers but sometimes you can still find friendly lobbies. I kinda like the game. I am always broke though 😂😂 I buy too much stuff I shouldn't in the beginning 😂 but where in the real world would I ever soo much money and such beautiful cars 😢. I take my time, don't like the grind and get to my goals. Happy New year 🎉🥂🍾
I played back in 2013 on PS3. I'd like to play the Online mode but my issue is starting so late into the life cycle that by the time you do the grind GTA VI online will be out. Better off waiting I think.
I started in 2014 on Xbox 360 and put it down in 2018 on PS4 due to getting griefed so much, came back on PS5 as the game was on sale for $10 and have been playing for the last 4 weeks and got to admit, the lobbies ( some not all ) are rather calm. Calmer than 2018 when i left. I also managed to make about 15-17 million in those 4 weeks through the nightclub ( just from the safe, not goods l) chop shop, franklins business, Ls car shop heist, and import export. I get about $500,000 to $750,000 per day grinding those
a bit of personal thoughts coming from a solo player. I've been away from gtaol for quite some years, but if I feel like playing something all in one, then I'm still thinking about this game. there are some cool things, including penthouse, yacht, planes, cars, that aren't available even in gta 5 basegame, and the basegame is already a huge mix of everything. boys like cars, aircrafts, shooters, and there aren't many games that can provide a full experience with it. I still play forza, I still play overwatch (yes it's a multiplayer game but I consider it as a more challenging shooter), I deleted this game from my computer for some time, but damn do I want to get back to LS
As a pc player, Ive recently spent 15-20 hours in public servers and havent noticed one single modder. Which is super cool, because I remember how it was a few years ago
I've played 73 hours in the past 2 weeks according to steam, of which like 10 hours was in public lobbies because modders kept messing with me, and otherwise people who I don't think were cheating just wanted to have some shootout in the middle of the street while I'm just trying to look for a cache. So I reckon you perhaps have gotten lucky, or I got unlucky. But they're still there.
As a mostly solo player I find public lobbies to be lots of fun, the danger or potential benefit of having other players around leads to some really fun emergent gameplay
Right answer: go outside
Honestly the only realistic comment I seen so far
But what if I meet a girl?
Do 100 press ups every day
Thank me later
Truueee. Started playing back on Oct. After awhile of not playing and I just feel like grinding like it's a real job 😅
But it’s raining and I just got home from work 😢
Bottom line, GTA V Online will still be relevant well into GTA 6's lifetime.
Thanks, TGG

I just bought gta v for the first time. Am playing thru the story first and it is awesome so far lol
@@blackt33thdevilit has a great story I have at least beat it 7 times because I use to not have internet so I would play gtav story all the time on my ps4
You should try playing red dead redemption 2 if you haven’t already
I've always hated how the online felt. Getting absolutely destroyed by oppressors. Ever since its debut I stopped
I play GTA Online as a "story game". Sounds dumb but with no single player dlc its the best I'm getting.
@@Daza-La yeah for sure the missions/heists are the best part. I loved the drug wars update for that reason. I had so much fun doing the Dax stuff (not the fooligans missions) but the main missions were mostly very fun.
Theres really no point in playing it now 😂
@Daza-La That's not dumb at all.
Thanks. I’m a solo PC player really burnt out on Destiny 2 and looking at getting back into GTA V 🤓

Lowkey I feel the same, I stopped playing GTA online in 2015 on my PS3 and I started again just last year on pc and It's pretty cool, it has changed a lot over the years
Exactly my experience, i stopped playing 6 years ago and past 2 weeks just logged back in, im enjoying it again
Agreed. I’m also a returning player. Stopped in 2015 and started in late 2023 again. I was blown away. Now I built an empire 😁
Lmk

@@justsomechunguswithinterne8577 yeah I don't know how I read that wrong originally he definitely meant two separate generations
I call cap. When online dropped there were no games like GTA. Limited wasn't the word.
@@ironcannon4040 haha you will manage. Watch beginners guide.
Question, just started playing on PC, is there a way to avoid cheaters all together?
@@shaneh3109 invite only sessions are pretty much the only way. Modders are in every lobby nowadays. Just whether or not they're fuckin with you is the only variable.

Started gtao in gta4 era (wasnt called gtao but whatever)
the original 2013-2015 experience was about the same + a few missions and a few races, PvP sorta.
And that's how I found you
I just started and a random guy gave me a 16 trillion dollars in gta y wanna play
Gta online is for vir ginz
The bottom line is online and its missions take place 5 to 8 years AFTER GTA 5 to the present day.
in regards to modders, some are friendlies and some aren't, which is why I try to stay on invite only sessions, sometimes its easier to play the game that way
Invite only is brilliant, peaceful and fun without getting blown up by idiots all the time when you are just minding your business.
I remember when you did your go kart challenge with your friends, trying to keep them from killing you, I laughed my butt off watching that, I'd forgotten about that till just now. Thanks for the smile man, you done good ! The advice given here is spot on.

I'm level 666 trying to keep that rank as long as I can lol
Oh god the ending footage with the boat getting beached during Cayo Perico is my bane. Doesn't happen often, but when it does, MAN.
You need other businesses first before you can use the nightclubs passive income because it operates of them 😂

I swear, I've had more fun with randoms than real friends. You chose your own path, one that's not clearly made by Rockstar - make it fun like XpertThief and troll of like JMW Films and RP or take a route like The Professional and grind your life away 😂 Hang in there dawg 🤟🏼

This is why I watch your channel first and foremost. Ty for your GTA5 online honesty. Fan4Life
Cant bring myself to play it now since my friend died. I can only think of him and the hours of fun we had together 😢
I believe it can be unforgettable, with friends in an Invite Only lobby or where people aren't using OP vehicles, when it's balanced to be challenging but reasonable. (Why did) I moved here (I guess it was) Gunrunning, and I think the best era of this game was on Import/Export, where the most OP thing was the Ruiner 2000 but you could headshot the driver or RPG it and not get Homing Missile'd if you were on foot
if you’re grinding: spend money to make money
- you avoid the most annoying part of doing same missions over and over for minimal rewards
What things would you recommend people buy first?
@@marshallmcluhan33kosatka+sparrow, nightclub, and probably acid lab

I really, as a solo player still enjoy hoping on and grinding. I know it would be more fun with friends, but can't get friends to see it the same way. Still so many things to do on here for sure.
Yes, modders are running rampant in the PC version but if you can look past that and learn to live with "lobbyhopping" it`s still worth playing.
And tbh if you are a random player, not high kd, not a youtuber, not a low level, modders will most likely not even look at you, only time i got griefed by a modder i started joking about the situation and he ended up helping me with the rest of my mission
Most modders i encountered were friendly and only spawned car so everyone could drift in the session, or spawn some props to decorate a car meet at lsc

@@robertdocherty2340 for money you should get the Agency, okey solo money. The nightclub is expensive to estate. I dont think many legit players are playing in public lobbies, it is easy to avoid modders on PC. First thing I do when I load up GTAO is get in a private lobby or a crew lobby with friends.
@@chabib23 yea I’d probably do the same thing if I was on PC
Sameeee
3:10 👍 Cant say I have done this yet, thats a skill set. Nice job.
I bought gta for the first time about 6 weeks ago. I loved the story mode a played through it quickly. I started online with the starter pack and followed tgg’s guide for solo players and have had so much fun. I was surprised by how easy it is to get rich solo. I have had fun with friends and would definitely recommend it
1:29 I love how TGG just asked the modder if he can turn him into a giant burger
Bro this is EXACTLY ME 😂
I played 3k hours in 3 years and you played 4k since 2013 ... I think I'm addicted.
You are a legend, hope you don't wear those trash tats like the tryhards 😂 Keep your class and flex that suit!
I'll use gta v as a long term trailer for gta 6
GTA V Online is 100% better with friends. My bestfriend had a kid so you know how that goes, my other buddies play on PC, I’m happy with my Xbox or waiting to get a next gen when GTA6 is close. Definitely miss the old days but it’s fun to join groups on Xbox and random car meets, just isn’t the same. I have every business in the game but after watching this video I want to so start a level 1 account, especially since you can do everything in a invite only lobby
Me and my pal have not long started a fresh after a 3 year break and we are loving it so much content and always things to do
I'm kind of surprised hearing you dropped the game for awhile.
@@JustChill-zd4ib allot cars for sure but allot is unique too.
@@JustChill-zd4iband looks is what most normal player care the most
You guys play on old gen at all?
For all new players I will recommend after grinding tons of missions get a good rest for 2-3 hours or play other games cause you will get bored and it will also effect your free Roam joys for example: You bought a car but never ride it or you have only customised it then if you take that car outside after grinding hours of missions and you get bored then yea driving your new car will be also boring.
Unless you are me, I play the game 12 hours straight without getting bored 😂😂😂
Stop smoking weed bro@@itskiki4979
You can if you judt bought the panthom wedge. Then just need to call it in...
After more than 8000 hours of play i m still committed to this game i m loving it ❤
That's an impressive hour count. Respect for dedication.
Nice! I have almost 6000 hours
I'm old gen Xbox if you're on lmk lol
Maybe you should try RP servers, looks like Online has nothing to you anymore.
Literally allll the modes...races sumo rocket league anything @@KaedeHot
Thank you for all your hard work giving great content. Have a great year!
Damn bro he dint like it 😢
Thanks mate!
This guy always puts me in the mood to get back on gta
That's a looong story.
Hahaha yeah, I figured nobody will read it but I felt like I wanted to say it somewhere.@@vishalsg
The game is fine to play on PC in a friends only lobby, assuming you are playing with a friend or two. I wouldn't play in a public lobby though.
dude is hard to get people to play a repetitive game when you legit can t have fun whit a full lobby because you legit get frozen and is done
It's something I can jump into for an hour or so on an Invite Only server, but I get bored of the lack of mission variety.
@zzurved you can still queue up for the mission based stuff with others but some things yeah you're gonna have to miss out on unless you find friends to do it with
@Mahtzu yeah it's just sad how fivem is literally the only reason people even buy gta on pc
I still had several diff people blow me up everytime I came back to life.
Love your vids
If we do not here from u happy new year 🎊 u and family keep up the good work 💪
I just started gta online this week and it's been really fun but I have nobody to play with so it can get boring and expessially the grinds. I do find the grinding worth it as buying cars and properties is very very rewarding and I love missions too.
I'm honestly loving the new Salvage yard business!
Same honestly best update we’ve had for a while
I even wonder how much longer I’ll be playing this, is having a garage full of deluxos & Opressors worth it
@@thaddeusgreen-kg7ww lol no…
@@thaddeusgreen-kg7wwAbsolutely not, just buy heaps of cars that look cool and customise them.
I have just gotten started in Online since christmas and it's pretty interesting! I can't wait to start this journey after 10 Years! 😄
Been going back and forth from gta and the call of duty camo grind i think I find my peace
Good vid, thanks 👍🏻
No seriously gta online has been milked where there's nothing new but eso there's plenty of things to do. Too bad you gotta pay for the dlcs tho
I stopped playing in 2020 and barely have any urges to play again.
Lately I've been playing GTAO alot to roleplay. On Xbox btw, so it's fairly difficult. But doable sometimes
I feel like last time you mentioned your hrs you were at 3k. So congrats on another K...assuming my recall is on point
Excited for the next episode of GTA online, I have conquered LS
That being said, I’ve been playing on and off since the 360 days, it’s always good to put the game down for a while if u start to feel burnt out.
