Jake's tutorials feels more direct, straight to the point than Qazi's ones. Each node, each action is well explained and add a real value to the look recreation. Keep it simple, no need to flex with crazy techniques when it's not a real dealmaker.
Amazing tutorial !! As usual ! Love it
AWESOME TUTORIALS. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK, Q-MAN TEAM!
You know if.
So sick, that curve sequence really dialed in the look!
💯
Nicely explained, thanks
Amazing tutorial 🔥
JAKE IS BACK
He's a beast
Love it ! Simple and clean :D contrast and temp did get you there pretty fast
He killed it.
He details out more what he is doing. Thanks!
Thank you for the very informative video! I would be interested in how to get the look of the film "The Matrix". Admittedly, the film is a bit older, but I still find the look very interesting.
Thank you for using our product and sharing the creation of the dune appearance tutorial.
Ayeee would love to use some more of your lights haha🤟🏼
man thank god you fix your Pc Jake
and thanks for the video I learn so much
Haha thanks man! It was nerve wracking!
When the first time Qazi announced that Jake is gonna make video tutorials on his CZcams I thought he made a mistake. But now I understand I was mistaken now. Jake is a good teacher too in his own way. Thanks Qazi. Looking forward for more tuts!
Glad I could change your mind :)
So clean
Please make tutorial colorgrading Korean tone
Question Qaz...in the movie the Freeman have the whites of their eyes as blue. Is this something that is just done in grading through qualifying the white and manipulating the hue or is it done on set?
where can we download the test footage?
You did an excellent job of recreating the look! It just drives me nuts when I see specular highlights in an image that aren't pure white... Just a personal preference and I always do it in my grading, but obviously for the look they did that, so it was a creative decision I suppose. Great job!
I encourage you to look at some more film stills. Spec highlights are rarely pure white.
CAN YOU DO AVIDEO ON HOW TO GET SYRE LOOK OF JADEN SMITHS CTVS PLS MR QAZIII
Awesome! Could you do an ozark look video?
I'll add it to the list.
Waqas thanks for the webnar ACCESS training is so expository and deeply explained am much in love with that from your tutorial i am approaching ACCESS with bold face now
Thanks for this! Loved the look. One request, Can you do the Wes Anderson look? Pleaseee
Haha which one?! He’s got so many
@@jvke.p Moonrise Kingdom!
It would be awesome to have different tutorials for different looks/grades that we can find in Dune because the movie visually beautiful
+1
Great, thank you, where do you get the refference stills, I mean there are many but they are not all trustworthy as many went through changes (color spaces etc etc). Is it hard to find real trustworthy images incl. the color space and gamma info of the imges?
Shot deck is excellent!
Is there a way to formally request these types of videos? I want to learn how to get the look that defines SUCCESSION and MIDSOMMAR
Midsommar is wild!
How did you get the color quantization overlay over the reference images? Is that a feature of DaVinci Resolve or did you create that externally?
Ya it’s an OFX called color palette
Very interesting. But why does the look break when the talent turned her back? Check at 18:40 and walk frame by frame, it happens for just a frame or two
The look isn’t breaking. The leaf just blocks the sun for a frame and the flaring isn’t present. But again, it’s totally natural. Not a result of the look
super
After watching the ACES video, I’m still not sure if I want to fully switch. Qazi, do you exclusively use ACES now or only for certain applications?
No one use aces for all projects . Mostly every colorist loves to work on unmanaged .
Still waiting on that _Matrix_ film look tutorial.
I would love to say a colorgrading tutorial on David Lowery’s A Ghost Story. Basically a film emulation tutorial but with those greens and greys. The Green Knight’s oranges and greens would also be amazing. Otherwise, this tutorial was a fantastic use of oversaturated orange
Can you provide original sample footage for practice.
In my masterclass.
Does Jake have his own channel?
I do!
I know its off topic but i wonder why you guys never did a game of thrones grading. Its a very interesting look. Winter and summer look both are great. I did not find any good davinci resolve videos about. This is surprising if you consider how successful this series was.
It's definitely on the list.
You chose the easiest shot from the film. The entire film is very different than that one
Wait... they are making a new DUNE movie? Why is this the first I am hearing about this.
Yep
„Making“ is kind of Late. Is already in cinema by now.
midsommar pls
So is this a Qazi channel or JVKE channel?
Hks channel is getting bigger, I think it's smart to hire someone
lol hire meee plz senpai
