- Today on Ziangs Food work shop, Chin and Choo have designed a recipe to be cost effective during this cost of living crisis, which has given us the idea on how to make Chinese Takeaway and Chinese traditional food at home on a very tight budget. This spring roll recipe will make 22-23 good sized meat rolls and everyone like crispy spring rolls, so we thought this would be a good one to start the cheap eats series with.
Chinese takeaway it self can be expensive to learn how to cook, in terms of having to invest in new ingredients and pantry items, we plan to show you how to do them all on a budget, using most items people have already in there kitchen cupboards.
This recipe for air fryer crispy meat spring rolls is so easy and only cost 18p per rolls! The soy sauce dip to go with it is amazing too. The two recipes are a must try. We will walk you through how to make the pork mince mix, how to roll the springs rolls and how to finish them in the air fryer. These will freeze too so you can batch make them and fry when ever you want. Frying times will increase when cooked from frozen, insure that the inside temperature of the meat rolls is over 80c before eating.

Love your efforts to help people safe money.10 out of 10. As a former executive Chef I think you two are exceptional.. Thanks for sharing 🙏 Greetings from Scotland
Thank you 😊
yesss - been waiting for an air fryer series. Think i suggested it on one of your tik tok live streams, hoping the inspiration stemmed from there haha
Lol it’s steamed from the cost of living, but I’m sure subconsciously you helped :)
Looking forward to this. Bought a Ninja Foodi and it's brilliant. Airfryers will be the future due to the situation we are in, saved nearly 20 pounds a month since having it. Will soon be trying my homemade takaaway in it.
Yeah, its exactly why we thought we'd make this mini series using them :)
Great new series! Loving the soy dip that keeps for ages aswell 👌😋

Looking forward to trying both the spring rolls and the dipping sauce. 😋 When I freeze the unused spring rolls, how do I then cook them in the air fryer please? Thanks guys 👍
Cook them on a lower heat for double the time, make sure that there piping hot and over 80c inside before eating
SHAKE IT LIKE A POLAROID PICTUREEEEE!
😂
I’m definitely going to try these! I just need to find the wrappers as I don’t have an Asian supermarket close by.
Can we cook them from frozen Chin?
They look delicious 😋
Thanks you two xx
Yes cook them from frozen 😊😊😊😊
Would love to try my hand at spring rolls but can't find any where locally to purchase the wraps, pity you don't sell them as I would get them with my next order , that way I could try this great cost cutting recipe , big thumbs to the both of you 👍 Trevor
we do have a how to make them video :)
If you were gonna deep fry how long would you cook them for and at what temperature please.
They look awesome.
At 180c for about 7-8 minutes or until they are piping hot inside
@@ZiangsFoodWorkshop thanks
If the Spring Roll wrappers have already been frozen is it safe to refreeze them like you suggested ?
It’s just dough, there isn’t any egg
If you have a decent sized sainsbury's supermarket near you then check down the frozen isle, they could have a section like mine that does world food items frozen.
Mainly indian stuff (frozen parathas, green chillis, ginger and garlic paste)
and they should have spring roll and samosa sheets, around £2.50.
And if you like me love indian and never tried a paratha I suggest you get some, the onion ones are great.
youre very lucky :)
@@ZiangsFoodWorkshop Mines starting to get a good selection in both the asian food aisles.
Some decent brands like LKK and rajah and some more specialty spices like black cardamom, dried fenugreek leaves and powder from green cardamom seeds.
Could these be done in a traditional fan oven at all?
yes they would need longer 15-20 mins each side
Hi what air fryer are you using
It’s a pro breeze
If we freeze them raw, do we cook them from frozen or defrost?
Yes :)
Not so sure about air fryers a taste and b elec cost we run on gas for a fryer. But they do look super yummy
No one in the uk has gas fryers unless you’re a chip shop :)
@@ZiangsFoodWorkshop we have to for load shedding issues. Hope you guys don't get it
Loadshedding is utter bs 😉
my friend told it is good website and she will get a good number of folowers and 500+ likes.

Also the calorie content will be less as your not deep fat frying them.
