There is a fold method as well, for placing holes. Fold it, holes on the fold egde, match up those holes, hole the fold edge, match up the two sets of holes, hole the edge, repeat that pattern until 16 are done. I only use a single hole now as the dual holes can tend to tear into each other on the thinner hides, thick hide its no problem... Thanks for the tree of life tips!

True, many ways to punch the holes, as long as one is careful to not allow the slipping of the hide.
