I played this song on the flute for a friend’s funeral as requested by her last week. I decided to play this song as it is always a spiritual for me. I was asked to play as the casket went down into the ground so I didn’t want to choose a song that was too emotional but a song that made me and hopefully others feel like we transcended to eternity. Gabriel’a Oboe was the one. Thank you for your beautiful music and video ❤

They played this song at my Gramp's funeral in November 2015, but with oboe. He bought me my oboe in 2006 as I left for college and changed my life forever- I wouldn't have been able to continue oboe if he hadn't. Heart wrenching piece. Your version is beautiful.

You gave me inspiration to work harder after I was disqualified from a major competition. I'm 11 and play the violin. I've always told that I need more body and facial expression which is why I think I couldn't make it to the final round of that competition. Your expressions, interpretation, and skills gave me inspiration and lots of emotion. Wowww, I think this is the best version of this piece as well as Yo Yo Ma's. Thank you for this video!
