@@MyShank I dunno about football but Schaub was allright in MMA. The dude was a high-tier UFC fighter after all, that´s like top 0.01% of MMA fighters. He couldn´t hang with the top boys but being a ranked UFC heavyweight is no joke of an achievement. Even the smaller organizations are full of fuckin killers man, and UFC is another level entirely.
Dude he got a full ride scholarship to College for Football. Less than 1% of high school athletes play at a college level.
He also was signed to an NFL team. Less than 1% of College Football players make the NFL.
He also not just made the UFC, but he won fights against some top level competition, he beat fucking Mirko Cro Cop for gods sake. He wasn’t a top 5 talent, but give him some respect. The dude has achieved success in everything he’s done, they’re all wildly different from one another, and they all take a SHIT LOAD of balls to even try. Yes he’s not a Number 1 in the world at anything he’s done, but he’s in the top 1% of multiple different things, which is incredibly impressive

Yeah but he fought in the UFC and is a funny guy. Also people don’t value the communication skills it takes to have a podcast and do stand up. Even if he’s not always the funniest guy ever he still gets enough laughs to book shows and I’m sure he’s getting better. Have you ever done standup? I suggest trying it. Success is when opportunity meets preparation. Dude hustles. Mad respect.

Podcasts really give people an insight into who these people are. I've seen both him & Tait Fletcher on JRE many times. Both are nice & kind people, not just talented at what they do.
Two things that most people would never have the balls to do. Professional fighting, and stand up comedy. He’s done both. Fair play to the guy. No matter how terrible he is.

I would agree with you, except for one thing-Brendan has not done stand up comedy. He has attempted stand up comedy, and while still in the "attempting" stage, has been propelled VASTLY ahead of where he should be, due to his association with Joe. If he were a fighter, not acquainted with a comedy star, and was getting laughs at open mics, I would agree with you totally. I literally do know more than 50 new comics (two years experience or less) who are very much better than he is, and who are not at all ready to even be middle acts. I hope that I don't seem like I'm trying to argue against your point. I am trying to augment it.

The best part of my day is jumping in my truck and listening to the fighter and the kid. Brandon is all around entertaining. Him, bryan, Rogan could take over this whole entertainment game very easily. We need a movie with all 3 of them and I would be good. Ever since i first saw brendan on joe rogan his episodes on rogan is my favorite, even if im not interested in mma and whatnot. Just a chill, down to earth, straight teller. Fighter and the kid is now my favorite podcast!

I've seen Brendan on Joe's podcast and many other places, I never knew he was a fighter lol. I actually went on youtube to find out if maybe he had some standup work. To my surprise, i found he was a UFC heavyweight fighter and it blew my mind. I have so much more respect for this dude.
