Yes, I won't deny Spicy Calamari Inkantation is good on Splatoon 2 and 3, but for me the original hits harder, since is more playful and encouraging than the epic mood in the second and third version
Ironically the Calamari Inktation always hyptonizes me in a way, I just can't focus well and start dancing in my spot lol.

As a Splatoon MEGA fan (with all DLC packages (YES EVEN THE UNRELEASED SPLATOON 3 ONE IN 2025 EEK IM SO EXCITED) and many amiibos, keeping my Wii U for the sole purpose of the original Splatoon (which is now sadly empty lobbies due to hackers)), I can proudly say when I was younger I was positively terrified of the toaster looking boss, and it took me years to even face that face (haha, get it?) and it set me back so much in the story mode 😂 my brain is permanently altered with the ‘toaster’ guy ???
Edit: I always forget it’s called octostomp. I just call it the toaster boss (it doesn’t even look like a toaster what 😭)
Edit 2: ugh there’s so many good things I can say such as look at his tiny little legs. It’s so annoying I can’t add more comments in after I think of them. And now I’ve forgotten the jokes I was gonna add in..
Edit 3: I just realised that it might be confusing (why do I actually think anyone would read this!)with the oven. Im talking about the firet poss of the original Splatoon, not the first boss which is an oven shooting toast in Splatoon 2

You know what would be a great final boss for splatoon 4? This:
Mr Grizz and Commander Tartar team up and turn the NIHLS statue from Splatoon 2 into a giant robot, steal the great zapfish to power it, and then trudge toward inkopolis, hoping to destroy it Godzilla style. They are also accompanied by an army of octarians that are both fuzzy and sanitized following behind the robot. You have to chase down the giant robot using an upgraded superfast inkjet and fight through the army. Once you reach the statue, the inkjet is destroyed, forcing you to climb the robot (which is covered in traps, enemies, and foreign ink) on your own. then, on top of its head, you battle a robot inkling that has an arm that can transform into all sorts of different types of weapons. After destroying it, you're knocked off the top of the head and the robot is about to crush you under it's foot, but then all the sea creatures of inkopolis come out and start fighting the army as the calamari inkantion begins playing. The same sea creature energy that turned smallfry into hugefry at the end of Splatoon 3 then turns you into a giant equal in size to the Giant robot. You then wrestle it in a one-on-one fight, and finish it off using a giant Booyah bomb charged by the booyahs of all the denizens of Inkopolis that came out to fight the army in an epic finisher

Whats interesting to me about the splatoon series is in splatoon 1 you can barely start seeing the lore of the game peeking through and its really really cool especially with the music, level and boss designs. In splatoon 2 the lore is REALLY there, especially with the octo expansion and i felt like splatoon 2 just had so much love put into it. In the 3rd one its alright, with the side order it makes it just a little better. But imo, nothing will compare to how much story there was in splatoon 2, i really miss it.
