Today Ann Marie turns 40 - December 19 is therefore by far the most important day of #Mattvent. I would not be Costa Rica Matt without her - I met Ann Marie in 2006, and aside from my two years in Peace Corps, we've been together ever since.
Ann Marie learned Spanish, started businesses - did everything needed to keep our family going. Today she does seven million things daily to maintain our family.
I wouldn't live in Costa Rica if it hadn't been for Ann Marie - she kept me going when things were difficult and plunged into our lives here in Guanacaste with unbelievable gusto.
