I agree with most items on things I would never buy with the exception of the platform sandals, some can be hideous I 100% agree (not as bad as flat Dad sandals in black, omg😂)but if you are large chested, petite, dainty sandals don't always work, platform sandals look great with long bootcut jeans in a boho kinda way which I dip into in the summer. Going on 38! Born in Russia, moved to the US a few years ago. It gets really hot here in summer (around 40C), and there's no real winter. I am athletic, petite, and very slim so I tend to disappear in anything too long, heavy, too patterned, too boxy, too brash. This is why I love your minimalist style suggestions. I needed some fresh wardrobe ideas because I don’t want to look frozen in time with my clothes but I refuse to wear whatever is on trend even if I technically can fit into them. Hi, I’m 69 and live in Auckland, New Zealand. We have a very moderate climate. Our summers have a hot, humid period for about 5 weeks but otherwise temperatures sit between 24 to 28 degrees. Our winters are overcast and wet but the temperature never gets too cold. Autumn is mild and Spring a bit chilly. There is never a need for heavy winter coats. I love how you explain why some things work and others don’t. I have finally realised the value of a capsule closet in the last year and it certainly makes dressing easier.
I'm in Seattle, will be 53 next month! Climate wise here in Spring can vary so much, from 40--60 F (4.4--15.5 C), and go from overcast/rainy to hail and sun in a matter of hours. Our climate is mostly grey/overcast/rainy over 6-7 months of the year at least, usually in the 40's F. Summers are comfortable, beautiful, dry, but extremely short, only about 2 months, 2.5 maybe (July-Aug) and then transitions quickly into Fall where we go back to the rain/wind/fog/cold. I've started watching so much more of your channel recently because I love your effortless style while still being on trend in the classic sense. I tend to dress more preppy with a bit of an edge or lean more feminine depending on my mood, but still adore all of your looks. I agree with most items on things I would never buy with the exception of the platform sandals, some can be hideous I 100% agree (not as bad as flat Dad sandals in black, omg😂)but if you are large chested, petite, dainty sandals don't always work, platform sandals look great with long bootcut jeans in a boho kinda way which I dip into in the summer. I like to look casual but nicely put together instead of looking like I just came from the beach all the time. But contrary to what many assume, SoCal is not perpetually warm; it can be cool enough in our winters and springs that people wear thin puffer jackets, which I also own. I am athletic, petite, and very slim so I tend to disappear in anything too long, heavy, too patterned, too boxy, too brash. This is why I love your minimalist style suggestions. I needed some fresh wardrobe ideas because I don’t want to look frozen in time with my clothes but I refuse to wear whatever is on trend even if I technically can fit into them. Hi, I’m 69 and live in Auckland, New Zealand. We have a very moderate climate. Our summers have a hot, humid period for about 5 weeks but otherwise temperatures sit between 24 to 28 degrees. Our winters are overcast and wet but the temperature never gets too cold. Autumn is mild and Spring a bit chilly. There is never a need for heavy winter coats. I love how you explain why some things work and others don’t. I have finally realised the value of a capsule closet in the last year and it certainly makes dressing easier.
I'm in Seattle, will be 53 next month! Climate wise here in Spring can vary so much, from 40--60 F (4.4--15.5 C), and go from overcast/rainy to hail and sun in a matter of hours. Our climate is mostly grey/overcast/rainy over 6-7 months of the year at least, usually in the 40's F. Summers are comfortable, beautiful, dry, but extremely short, only about 2 months, 2.5 maybe (July-Aug) and then transitions quickly into Fall where we go back to the rain/wind/fog/cold.
I've started watching so much more of your channel recently because I love your effortless style while still being on trend in the classic sense. I tend to dress more preppy with a bit of an edge or lean more feminine depending on my mood, but still adore all of your looks. I live about 20 minutes outside of Seattle, in Mill Creek. I am 56 and go into the office 4 days/week. I go from garage to garage so I have found I don’t need thick outerwear that I used to need when I commuted to downtown Seattle on the bus. I love to be on trend and fashionable while still retaining a classic base and that is why I love your style Lydia and look forward to your videos. ❤
Hi Lydia, I am 32 and I live in Prague, Czech Republic. Winters are quite dry, but very cold, spring time is very short, summers are very hot (35 C) and autumn is quite rainy. Love your content!❤️
