    I LOVE that interpreter, he does his job like he’s supposed to, barely ever changes words, and brings with the interpretation the energy that Charles puts into the original message.

      But he did change the meaning (not on purpose I believe). Charles said he did pass the weight in and they took off his belt. The translator did not translate that, infortunately. It was the most important message of the post-fight..

    Yo, I don't care what they say. This man survived nuclear bombs from the hardest hitters in the division in Michael Chandler, Dustin Poirier and Justin Gaethje. Not only did he survive, he got back up firing away at those monsters. Knocking them out, putting them on their backs and straight dominating them until his hand was raised. There is a champion in the 155 division. His name is Charles Oliveira.

    Charles Olivera is a perfect example of how a fighter can grow. He lost a bunch when he was younger but trained and worked harder to improve. Now we’re seeing him in his prime. Dude has dominated the top lws so far and finishing them. The run he’s on is legendary

      He lost a few times when he as a yougner fighter, even in that time he did well, simply he couldn't beat the more experienced fighers at the very top.
      But this is prime Olivera he got all the tools.
      He knocked out Chandler and submited Dustin and Justin just like Khabib.
      And he won 3 championship fights in less than a year. Khabib needed 3 years for that.
      As a champion Olivera already has better achivements

I think you can excuse some of his early losses, when he probably should have been betting more experience at a smaller promotion rather than fighting guys like Jim Miller, but he lost to Paul Felder a few years ago. Say what you want about Khabib: even when he wasn't in his prime he didn't lost to a gatekeeper. Dude is a killer but he's got too many holes to be considered the GOAT.

His poor background, his early career troubles, his dangerously risky fighting style, his politeness, his putting up with this title/scale nonsense, and his undeniable heart in wiping out the most competitive division in MMA. I think that the reason he drops so quick is because he knows how good he is on his back and he tries to bait fighters to drop to his level where he’s comfortable. Dude it’s insane. A lot of people thought Gaethje would overwhelm Oliveira but it was the opposite. He’s on a different level right now.

Its actually super impressive how Charles is dispatching these Elite level fighters with ease, clearly levels above his competition right now. Now I might sound crazy, but I think Volk might actually give Charles his toughest fight if he moves up to challenge...call me stupid or whatever but I think Volk wins that fight

    I've always loved Charles and I was so worried that the missed weight would effect him negatively but Do Bronx literally used all that as fuel to basically dominate the number 1 contender in Gaethje.     Watching this fight, I just kept thinking of a young Do Bronx. He used to Wilt from the shots he took from Justin but now he's grown as a man and a fighter. He just gets right back up and starts throwing his own going into another finish. It's crazy seeing how far he's come throughout the years

      Because back then he was just a BJJ guy seeking out the body lock and trying to chain submission attempts together. He couldn't really stand toe to toe with guys.
      Now his Muay Thai and overall standup is equally as dangerous as his elite BJJ. I think he would've eventually TKOed Gaethje even if he didn't go to sink in the RNC.

    I am a HUGE Justin Gaethje fan, watched him since WSOF days. I can safely say that this is the best fighter he has lost to, I did not for one moment expect Charles to be prepared to exchange in the pocket. He not only did that but beat Gaethje in all that chaos, nothing but respect to the champ. The best in the world Charles Oliveira.
