My school back then held cooking competitions for nutrition month, but with certain challenges. One time, the task was to cook any Filipino main dish, a Filipino desert, and any international dish which were to be judged on complexity, execution, and authenticity. _BUT_ mystery ingredients were to be unveiled towards the end and have to be integrated as variations of the dishes, depending on which ones they will combine. With that, the dishes were also be judged based on the original recipes and the variations. The ingredients they revealed were cotton fruit, durian, and _pinuneg_ (blood sausage). Many of the dishes were actually really good!
The real challenge here is staying true to the authenticity of a dish based on its ingredients since it's coming from a recipe book. If you are someone who used to innovating, it's always good to come back to the basics.
I’ve never heard the “F” word in your show and I heard it so many times in here. Not very pleasant for some people like me who doesn’t swear. Esp. when watching with kids.
