Yes, they should let the consumer know. I find that it is not a deal breaker for me. I also have the single wireless ear bud from years ago. Love my Bose products.
I had a similar issue where the left ear bud did not work. It was fully charged but the nose connect app registered it as dead. I tried all the trouble shooting methods you could think of. I solved the issue by leaving both left/right earbuds out of its case so they could die overnight. I recharged them and it seems to have fixed the problem. Both left and right are working again.
i’ve had this problem for over 5-6 months. i got frustrated and never used them again until now. i let them sit for almost 4 months and they are still not working. my left earbud would make a rumbling noise constantly as if it were dead yet it was fully charged. i have no idea how to fix that and i am going to use your method because i am very disappointed in these headphones. they went out on me 3 months after i bought them

Wasn’t sure if this was intended, hence searching and finding this vid but The only logic I can apply is so you can hear the volume of you’re own voice whilst talking. It bugs me a bit but it kind of make sense, although just reducing the volume in one ear would be a better solution if that is what they were trying to achieve.... in my opinion of course.
I know it's too late now.. But just I solved the same issue with mine's. Since even my left buds didn't play any media. Goto settings.. Accessibility.. Hearing.. Audio balance.. Set it to CENTRE. Hope that helps, Worked for me though.
Why is it that when I first bought the bose that I could pick either left or right for calls and it did work for the left ear until an update happened. If it worked once before, why can't they go back? There must be a reason they are not telling us.
I have hearing problems on my right ear and to answer calls. I have to cancel my Bluetooth to answer on the phone. Like u said, they should have said something 🙄 bull 💩
My left earbud is dead but lights up when in the charging dock. It doesnt light up when taken out of the dock even if i press the button. Do you have a fix on this? Havent tried updating the software though.

this is very sad you know, because you can buy a cheaper earbuds and will performs better than this.

I have a problem where the left earbud won't connect at all by itself, but works when paired with the right one
these earbuds are meant to be the right is the connector, if you want one in you need to use the right one

This is bull crap. I cannot hear anything out of the left earbud at all from any music station or youtube or anything else for that matter.

i was have two pairs of bose earbuds . now i lost my one left and one right side earbuds .. so tell me how can i connect my earbuds among themselves.

Only sound in the right earphone while on a phone call, is a safety measure. They set it up this way on purpose.
I'm used 2it now but far as I know thats the only company that does that which I'm folks are not gonna love

I bought these just today and for every ten minutes the left ear bud disconnects even while watching CZcams!!!

Make sure they are both clicking in all the way to insure both sides are charging. Hope this helps.
I had the same issue, I removed the app altogether and it works 100% much better w/o the app

Yeah because only the one bud has the mic on it. When you take calls you only hear them through the one with the volume and multi function buttons
My problem is that my voice isn't being heard during a call when they are connected
Check your Bluetooth settings if the buds are allowed to use call
