Bass guitar is like a national religion in Japan and their rhythm sections are always a cut above

Gacharic Spin is a genre of their own. Very progressive and constantly changing. Great live preformers!
You kinda just have to jump in and expect the unexpected.

The Instrumentalists have a side project called Doll$Boxx. They are reforming later in the year for another project. Angie, the lady with pink hair is a new addition to the band and she also works as a radio host apart from Gacharic Spin.

Gacharic Spin (the "ch" in Gacharic is a soft sound, not a hard "k" sound) is one of the most musically-interesting groups I've heard. Do not expect their next song to sound like this one.
In this video, founding member Hana is on drums and some vocals, but she tends to be on guitar more often than not these days. She was the original drummer, but in 2019 a drummer named Yuri joined the band. Yuri isn't seen here or in their next video, the great "I Wish I," because she was on maternity leave.
The bass player is F Chopper Koga. I was in on an Instagram live where she explained that the F stands for pheromones, but when she took that stage name, she didn't know how the word was spelled in English. The Chopper part was taken from the stage name of another bass player, I forget who exactly, and then Koga is her actual family name. She started playing bass because all of her other friends picked guitar and drums.
Koga and Hana went to high school together and are the only two founding members, though I believe the original guitarist only played one show with the band. The guitarist you see here, Tomo-Zo, has been there nearly from the start. Oreo, the keyboardist, joined as a support member and then as a permanent member in 2012. Yuri and Angelina 1/3, the pink-haired singer, both joined in 2019.
The only other thing I'd want to mention is that Hana, Oreo, Koga, and Tomo-zo has a side project with Fuki, the incredible singer of the band Unlucky Morpheus. The project is called Doll$Boxx (pronounced Dolls Box) and has some damn good music. The one that most people start with for DB is "Take My Chance" which is good live, but the official video is great. Check it out when you can.

@PaleHorseShabuShabu. Gacharic Spin's original guitarist, Eita, did, in fact, play more than one show during her brief tenure with the band, with Tomo-Zo joining in December 2009, shortly after Eita's departure. Eita would subsequently join forces with original frontwoman Armmy (RIP) post Gacharic Spin to form the short-lived TakaEita, which went on indefinite hiatus following Armmy's passing in 2015. Supposedly, there is footage out there of one of Gacharic Spin's earliest live performances with Eita, though it appears to have since disappeared from CZcams, etc, and if it still exists and hasn't been deleted, then it is considered the Holy Grail of Gacharic Spin live footage.✌️

Until recent years F Chopper Koga was the only female on lists of best Japanese bass players. Her slap bass instruction videos from 2011 have millions of views. Gacharic Spin albums and singles chart decently in Japan and they fill the same venues as the Japanese bands better known in the U.S. (except for idol group Baby Metal - different category)

This song goes from "cool, a great funky pop song" to WTF??!! and I mean that in the best possible way. There's everything here. Funk, latin keyboard melodies, great but short solos from everyone - random key changes, and it leaves you thinking HOLY SHIT that was fun! Band-Maid is still my favorite but these ladies are in my top 3 or 4 of the many many Japanese rock bands.

Gacharic (Gotcha Rick) Spin has been around for 15 years. They have had some changes but four of the members have remained consistent. They consider themselves to be an Entertainment Group, not just a band.
Watch and pay attention to any of their live performances from any year.

Oreo didn't join the band until 2012, the original vocalist / keyboard player was Armmy who left due to health issues and passed away in 2015.

I'm so pleased to see you guys react to one of my favourite bands, period, from the land of the rising sun. I know that Gacharic Spin may seem a little much for the uninitiated upon first listen, but if you're willing to go a little further down the rabbit hole with these ladies, you've gotten off to a strong start by reacting to MIndset first. For those who are quick to just write them off as nothing more than merely a fun band with nothing more going on beyond just their surface level appearance, believe me when I tell you that Gacharic Spin are more multi faceted, stylistically, beyond just what you see and hear in this MV. I'm sure other people in the comments section have already provided you guys with other song suggestions, which you will hopefully take into consideration for further reaction videos to come and that this won't be just a case of one and done and then straight back to Band-Maid, Lovebites, Nemophila et al. The music scene in Japan is a bottomless pit of musical talent and creativity beyond the handful of bands/artists you've reacted to thus far and that you're prepared to venture further down the musical rabbit hole of Japan. Have fun exploring, guys.✌️

Gacharic Spin are a great live band. The energy you saw in the video is not even close to the live performances. This is their 15th year and have been through many transformations over the years, so you will get a lot of variety with them. They have performed in the U.S. in the past and if you are looking to just have a fun time, then this is for you.

Fantastic review. Welcome to one of the more interesting Japanese bands who are not following a trend but blazing their own path. Don't expect all of their songs to sound like this because these extremely talented women are the masters of combining different genres into the same song. If you think the energy of this song was off the charts, watch one of their live videos. Here is a recommendation: *Gacharic Spin - I wish I (Official Live Video) in 豊洲PIT (Lyrics in English)* Don't let the introduction fool you.

Great reaction and you've discovered Gacharic Spin, who is best described as loosely contained chaos on stage and all the musicians are some of the best in Japan. Gacharic Spin is one of my favorite bands (along with Band-Maid). The band was formed in 2009 by bassist F Chopper Koga and her friend from high school, Hana, the drummer, Tomo-Zo guitarist and Oreo on Keyboards. In 2019 they added the singer Angie (pink hair (she was around 18 as of this video) and a new drummer Yuri so that the drummer (Hana) could move upfront as second guitarist (Yuri is not in this video as she was out on maternity leave). They are very underrated.

    Gacharic Spin is
Songs that have established the current members
    mindset, but
    If you like harder songs,
    Double drum TAMASHII and
    I recommend 赤裸ライアー.
    Lovebites, you have seen,
Set The World On Fire and finally,
If you listen to the Swan Song (listen at the end because there are different instruments)
    Band Maid is
Please listen to it as much as possible.
It's all hard rock, but it's a wide variety, so come check it out!
