Ooh fab video thanks. I purchased the pink lemonade one from the nursery this week and didn’t buy a pot to put it in! Now I know what to do. Thanks a mil
My blueberry bushes have gone very weak as soil is so alkaline , i will try to revive them by potting them like this. Thank you. How long do blueberry bushes usually last?
Jack. Thanks for the video, it was very informative. One question that I would like to ask you. I have two pots ready, and I am looking for two plants of the larger variety. It's mid July, can I plant these at anytime of the year?
Yes, you can plant these at anytime of the year, especially when going in a pot (as these require car and attention anyway). You might find though that most centres won't have them at this time! Best to check in the Autumn (best time to plant also) for a better range! -Jack
I have followed your instructions Jack. And I purchased and planted 3 blueberry bushes in similar planter pots to what you were using in your video. My 3 plants are, draper, chandler, and patriot. I planted them a few months ago and they have been displaying beautiful red leaves recently, that are starting to drop off now. So that's the plants now going into winter hybrination, I will let you know how they get on early next spring. Will send a picture if I can.
Hey, I wouldn't think this is necessary on a Blueberry - It will only have a very small crop in its 1st and possibly 2nd years while it gets established, this is fine and normal. Once its settled then you'll start to get bumper crops!
+Shu Pui Lui It depends on the variety you have as to how hardy it will be in the cold. It is recommended that during extended periods of cold that they are moved to a sheltered position such as a greenhouse or a garage/shed during these periods. When plants are dormant they aren’t photosynthesising so shouldn’t need any light. Hope this helps ~Jack
It's best not to. Blueberries are shrubby plants that get quite large even the dwarf varieties. Unless the pot is exceptionally large you'll end up with congested half grown plants and as a result, half of the productivity and half of your money's worth.
Thank you for sharing. All the best of berries and more.

How long would you pluck out the flowers to allow the plants roots to establish until you begin collecting it’s fruit?

During winter (3 months freezing canadian winter), can you leave the dormant blueberry in a unheated garage with no light? Will they survive?

can I plant 3 or 4 together in one container

I would agree with what has already been discussed - Keep it one plant to one pot and it will be much better!
This clown is just like a car salesman just selling you the latest model, for The growers in the nurseries
Care to elaborate on why you think this? 🤔
