First video I've seen of yours and I like it! I'm just getting back into LotR minis after about a 10-year absence and I really like the changes. I've always liked the Uruk-Hai Scouts and Lurtz since the game was first released, so this Legendary Legion was a good excuse to get back into the game. Anyway, I look forward to more of your videos like this and I'm going to check out your older videos now as well.

I think a slight mistake slipped in your video. You mentionned at 1:54 the baseline profile of the Uruk-Hai Scout being Fight 5, Strength 5, Defense 5, where it should be all 4. Overall a pretty good review of this Legendary Legion. I can't wait to try it.

I think two banners would worth it in this list, str 4 troops don't matter unless you are winning duel rolls!
Malhur move 8"+ march +3" + Drum +3" = total 14" move a turn or 7" and still fire a bow!
Can't underestimate moving 14" towards the enemy lines a turn!
I did this with an orc horde and got 3/4 across the board by turn 4! 😉

Quick question as i am still getting my head around the sbg fules which gondorian heroes have heroic move because i see it being used but i cant find it in the armies profiles
Heroic Move, Shooting and Combat are 3 Heroic Actions every Hero can use, so they are not listed within profiles. Of course Heroic Move and Heroic March are different things. If you meant Heroic March - only captains of MT, Irolas, Madril and Aragorn have this Heroic Action.

been part of the warhammer community for 19 years but never found anyone who played LotR D=
This is awesome! I have recently taken up the hobby and I chose Isengard. I am mainly interested in Matched Play but I dont see why I shouldn't try legendary legions. So far I have 15 scouts (3 of them with bows), one drummer, ugluk, lurtz and mauhur. If I want to field all these heroes, how many more scouts should I get? what's the minimum I could take?

I’d go around another 15 and you’d be good for around 6-700 points

@@TheAnikasis I'm not a super competitive gamer I tend to play narrative style games but yeah usually I'd say yes max out bows.

Hawhur with 12 sword and board

Thats 690 then drummers and standards? Haven't played since fellowship of the ring and two towers lol just coming back and redoing my first army from fellow ship except im not 11/12 and have trouble buying enough blister packs of metal scouts lol.
Its abit spammy but I like the swarm and lurtz sitting back at first doing what he did in the film first!!!!

Does Lurtz get to defense 7 because 6 base plus the shield?
He does not because he comes with a bow, so he is always defense 6. The only thing the shield gives him is the ability to throw it and shielding in combat.

Lack of animosity makes this legion weaker than Ugluk's Scouts LL. Discuss!
I agree, as you can't build a swarm list out of 9 pt models, no spears makes it hard to clump up, so you get the worst of both worlds. The lurtz buff in this list makes it very hero-focused, so I imagine you lose effectiveness as the points get higher
