Lived here for forty years. Here is the list I think first time visitors should try to visit. Probably take at least a week to see all of it:
Balboa Park (The Jewel of San Diego)
San Diego Zoo
La Jolla Cove (check out the sea lions)
Windansea Beach and Bird Rock (in between La Jolla Shores and Mission Beach, nice walk)
MIssion Beach (place to be on 4th of July)
Kate Sessions Park (great for a picnic)
Torrey Pines State Park (beautiful hiking, especially along the beach cliffs)
Cabrillo Monument (spectacular view on a clear day)
Little Italy
Ocean Beach (most old-school beach vibe, kind of bohemian)
Hotel Del/Coronado Island (best family beach)
Old Del Mar
Petco Park (fun to watch a game, even if you're not that into baseball)
I think Old Town and Seaport Village are kind of tourist traps, but a lot of people enjoy them.

I love film site of my favorite tom cruise movie top gun 1986 film at Kansas City barbecue which love food when I ate out there in August or July last year
I am very very sad for homeless city there like in la an many big an small places in USA.
There should be no homeless citizens in USA my Navy man input station in gorgeous long beach CA in first Lebanon war in that town
I thought California was just mounds and mounds of homeless people, needles, and urine/defecation? It's almost as if San Diego is perfectly livable.
