    Really enjoying your videos. Sad and happy to see you're going the VR6 route. Would have loved to see more content with the 2.7 single set up. I recently bought a Stage 3 Imola Yellow S4. Wasn't looking for a B5 but I saw the ad and got enticed fast. Little flashy for me but was in great condition. In any case, I'm hunting down a boost leak/sensor issue causing rich fuel trims at the moment. Can't continue with tuning til I figure it out. Is there any chance you could make a video that discusses what you did with the stock rats nest of vacuum lines and valves/solenoids? N80, N75 and not running a MAF for example. I'm starting to gather info and create a parts list for a single turbo conversion when this current setup pops. Thanks for the helpful content!
    P.S. For the love of god, where can you find a comprehensive service manual for this damn car? haha I find free manuals on the forum but the info is all over the place and difficult to navigate. My previous car was a built Mini Cooper and the Bentley Service Manual was a life saver. Very easy to learn and work with.

    Nice work man, and well-done video! One tip that might make things a little cleaner for you--instead of adding short lengths of hose and capping them like you did for the coolant feeds and return, just clamp a reinforced silicone cap directly to the hose barbs. HPS and Samco sell them, and I'm sure you could find cheap knockoffs if you wanted to save a few bucks. Obviously a little hose, two clamps, and a bolt are basically free, but they still take up some space.

    My only question is, what became of your single turbo 2.7T build? I noticed a Vr6 turbo in the engine bay of the S4. I missed the updates in between.

    Great job on the content.
    Do you happen to have any time slips from you build or any dragy numbers. I have a a 2.7T and trying to decide which direction to go with the build and if its gonna be worth it compared to what I would spend to build a N54.
    * * Manual transmissions are awesome ( 3 manual Audi's including S4 4.2l, 08 Hayabusa, and 335Xi). I've manual swapped about 35 cars. But until they start making manual transmissions that can handle 7-800 ft lbs of torque, I'm done with manuals for now. Drive something with a 8HP tranny (swapped or oem) and form your own opinion. Speed and acceleration is relative. . . . .used to think my GSXR was fast until I jumped on a Busa. You will build A4s until you encounter something better. . . . 😊

    • @CIPGAS
      @CIPGAS  Před rokem

      Hey Man,
      Thank you! I don’t have slips or draggy info on the build sadly. I’m never on the drag strip and didn’t have access to a draggy but that would be a good investment. And honestly you’re right about the autos they’re definitely faster and newer ZF’s can hold a lot of power which is a huge plus. In my case I just like to drive and enjoy being around cars so a manual is better for me. If I ever get competitive about building a fast car then things would change. For the time being I don’t need the fastest, just driving for the fun of it.
      Also I’ve never even been on a bike lol
      I think it would ruin cars for me 😂

      6262 gen2 will spool faster then your journal best 5858 I'm running a gxt3582r gen2 which is a65.7I'm compressor wheel and 82ar. Seeing 10psi by 3000rpm and 27psi by 3500rpm spending money on a turbo is the one thing you should if you want a fast spool time AND big power.

    • @CIPGAS
      @CIPGAS  Před 3 lety

      @@mk2vrt Turbo is definitely an important buy and it is definitely something you should spend some good money on, as much as your budget allows. Also a ball bearing turbo would definitely spool a bit faster that a journal bearing turbo but it would definitely not be. Big difference as that’s not its main advantage. A lot of the advantage of BB is the continued inertia which would allow you to hold boost much better between shifts and also durability when correctly oiled. But with that said spend a much as you can on a turbo but don’t let anyone tell you what you have is bad just because they bought something more expensive. Everyone has a different goal and budget and that’s why there are so many choices.
