Lancelot, defends the vet, saves other cats lives by donating blood and poops on shoes. Definitely a legend.
LOL!!!!!!!
Nice tldr
"I hast bequeathed thine pillow with mine poop, m'lady" -Lancelot
Leigh Amanda laughed at this comment for at least 10 minutes. also the two cats in your profile picture are extremely adorable
Being dead serious: the children's book should include the shoe pooping and all of his weird little behaviors. Someone needs to let kids know you can be a magnificent hero and also a total weirdo & bed wetter.
God I love cats.
I'll pass your suggestion on to the author!
Aw! Of course he should really do what he wants, but thanks for letting us all know the truth :)
Your comment reminded me of an NPR article I read a long time ago. I looked it up. Robert Krulwich writes about Mathew Inman's story/cartoon about his cat, Domino. Domino who slobbers and poops outside the litter box. If you are interested, here's the link theoatmeal.com/comics/house
Very true, Suzanne!! Don't leave out the quirks, but tell them, too, so the hero becomes more human (or in this case, feline) and children have a more realistic idol and won't be angry at themselves if they're not perfect all the time! Because every bit of good you do is making you a hero, no matter what other quirks and weaknesses you may have. This children's book based on Lancelot could carry a very powerful message to it's readers!
@@HelpfulVancouverVet I agree with what was saud, because other special pets may be saved if people see no pet or animal is perfect.
i want to pet Lancelot
Drop on by the clinic, he's chilling at the front desk most days!
"He's too beautiful to be out in the woods" 😂😂
DLL me
I hope the girl who couldn't part with Lancey watches your videos so she knows he's in great company. What a touching story...
Terribly sad that :(
Lancelot is like 💩💩+ 👟👟 = 💗💗💗
Awwww, Lancelot's claiming his favorite people and protecting his family! Too bad it's not in a human-appropriate way, but the sentiment is pure.
IKR!!! T.T we dont deserve cats.. they are so pure
Sir Poopsalot. :P
“Don’t hurt my humans!”
-Lancelot
Fight, fight, fight, fight
Excalipurr the sword of right
Lancelot you rise a knight
Many cats will soon be fought
To win your place in Arbutus' court
Go to poop shoes if you dare
Lure the Black Kitty from his lair
Growl and hiss at the evil cat
Rid his evil from our land.
😹
The peeing sounds like territorial insecurity -- especially when he wasn't wanted and/or was getting moved around from one environment to the next. It seems like a desperate move to claim ownership of something. It's telling that he would pee on the belongings of the person he wants to bond with -- he's trying to mingle his scent with the object of his affection! So glad Dr. Uri gave this sweet and noble boy a home. Thanks for telling us his story.
Yeah could be :)
I mean its like another version of something I was thinking before....
And to think if that girl had gone to another vet clinic they probably would have had him put down. I understand why he couldn't be a normal indoor cat but I'm so glad he could find a home (and a noble purpose) with your clinic!
I see Sir Lancelot has been receiving his daily required squishes. Looking fine as ever 👌
"I don't know who names their cat Lucifer"
My cat is named Satan although it's because the humane society misspelled Satin and I decided to keep it and not because he is evil.
Good on you for giving him a home despite his "displays of affection". He looks quite happy and content with you.
Dr Uri, I can't afford to support you on Patreon right now but if you put ads on your video I'll always watch them so you can get the ad revenue!💗
Yes please. I don’t skip adds
100%
This vet is soooo fine smh
If you love something, pee on it. Also, this is my favorite channel.
Amen
and if you want to marry them, poop their pillows
Have you peed on this channel yet?
and better yet, on the pc used to spread the word! @@catherinespark
LOL!!!
It's perhaps his way of saying this is mine so he does so lol, again bit misguided but that's his thing!
So many bad things around the world... This channel is basically a bunker of kindness and positivity!
I just love the way your face lights up as you talk about the animals 💝
Kids find poop hilarious. So leaving that part in wouldn't necessarily scare them off, quite the contrary in some cases, lol. Anyway thankyou for sharing! :)
Thanks for sharing Lancelot's story! This chivalrous, poopy cat is so adorable and I can tell he loves you guys very much as well
He may not get to protect the clinic staff, but at least the well-meaning noble Lancelot gets to save lives via blood donation
I think Lucifer is a great cat name. Granted, I named one of my cats Asparagus, so I might not be the best judge.
*protecc this wholesome content*
Our 21 year old cat Sweetie has a similar trait of peeing on everything. We too finally found that if we left a towel out (for Sweetie it has to be on the floor of the bathroom) that she would use that only and like your situation we just throw the towel in the washing machine and are glad that she doesn’t pee anywhere else any more!
reality: cats are strange and wondrous beasties, heavy emphasis on "strange". (mine are rescues--i have a mama calico and her kittens ended up being a package deal because the local feral people were full and they were so contact skittish at that point that they weren't deeemed adoptable. i get kitten cuddles NOW, but it took a couple months of "lots of talking but almost no attempt to *touch*" to pull that one off.)
I live with a rescue Persian named Bogart and Bogey has been diagnosed with ulcerative colitis. This can be very messy, but it is now under control with medication and a healthy diet. Bogey however blamed his condition on litter and would avoid it by pooping on the floor near his litter box. I put newspaper down near the box to protect the floor and he was happy to poop on the newspaper. We came up with a compromise and I put sheets of newspaper atop the litter in his box and he uses that now. He is a fussy cat and needs a second box, also covered with newspaper to pee in. He has in the past peed directly on the litter in one of his brother Humphrey's boxes, but only if it is pristine -- freshly cleaned and filled. Unfortunately, that's not practical. This system works virtually all the time. It is the only reason I subscribe to the local newspaper. -- Barbara from Montreal
Lancelot is the real ceiling cat because he saves kitty lives.
Don Quixote De La Mancha is a more apt name, I think. But that's just me.
I concur. I'd like to think Cervantes would have been bemused by his misguided heroism!
He's such a magnificent floofball, but he seems to have a few wires crossed. It's great that you've found ways to deal with his unfortunate habit. And at least poop comes out of a shoe better than pee, if you can actually wash the shoe.
Vary chivalrous indeed! Lancelot you are a handsome man
Aaww he is just overly protective handsome boy who pees on your stuff that smells like you most (pillow, shoes, blankets) because he wants two of your smells to be together. This way everyone will know you are a great team (pack). Smells are like flags to them💚
I love him and will protect him forever. Thanks for sharing his story.
Lancelot is so full of love it's overflowing 😂
Now we know about Sir Lancelot! Thank you!
Best story I heard in a long long time
I love that his cat bed is shaped like a kings crown. Super appropriate for such regal looking and noble cat!
Thank you for this story! Lancelot is really adorable and handsome, and so laid back... Thank you so, so much for giving him a home at your clinic when no one else wanted him! I'm sure it's a great place for him to be, living his heroic self and having lots of people to love on ❤
Yes, it sounds like the workplace environment is right for him, and they've got a manageable routine with the pee towel.
OMG I saw the title and got scared that he died! Great story, Dr. Yuri. May there be many more entries in the annals of Lancelot :D
Same here! I just now worked myself up to watching the video! Was very pleasantly surprised. 😁
He's a good kitty💜💜💜
lancelot more like sir-pees-a-lot
I laughed so much. Thank you for making my day, doc!
I know, what's better than a giggling Doctor?
Yeah his laughing made me lol
He's what I call a "caretaker" cat! May he live long and prosper! :)
I really love your understanding and appreciation of these unpleasant behaviors.
What a delightful video Dr. Uri. Lancelot is a beautiful boy. It's so good that you were able to give him a home and the important role of being a blood donor. ♡
You are clearly in the right job, Dr. Uri.
It obviously gives you (and you communicate) a lot of joy 👍☺
Great video, I would love to see something like this for Mr. Pirate
😻
I wanted to add to someone else's comment. I am a pre-school teacher and many of my kids like to talk about bodily functions. Accidents happen and some of my kids get very upset at themselves if for example they didn't make it to the bathroom in time and instead ended up peeing on themselves. It happens, it's natural and I always make sure that they know it is normal. It should not be a source of shame for them, ever. Having a story about a cat who poops and pees in unusual places would be fun to read, and I think kids would like it.
Lancelot is the cutest cat. Love his story!
C'est meow! C'est meow, I'm forced to admit.
'Tis I, I humbly reply.
That kitty who
These marvels can do,
C'est meow, c'est meow, 'tis I.
Lancelot is surely the noblest cat on CZcams. Thank you for sharing his story with us!
It's a shame he developed such a negative habit of inappropriate elimination and I wonder about the story behind that. However, he has ended up in a wonderful position because of it, where he can love and be loved by so many amazing people. Thank you for the work you do with animals! And thank Lancelot on my behalf for saving lives with his blood donations.
I had a cat before who was similar to Sir Lancelot. Every time I left my parents' place to go back to uni, he'll poop on my bed. That's his way of "protecting my bed from other person who will attempt to use it.
Just awww... it's great you gave him a chance! I've never heard of cat blood donations before. Video both entertaining and educational, thank you! Also, I think the non-lapel mic is great. Sometimes those lapel mics pick up interference: rustling of clothes, etc. The big mic reminds me of old time radio shows...which is cool. Thanks Dr. Yuri...
Thank you for sharing this lovely cat’s story. They certainly have mysterious ways of showing us their affection. My Merlin throws things to the floor to catch my attention and then jumps on my lap and rubs his face to mine. Such adorable creatures. Thank you doc!
I love Lancelot so much
What a wonderful story! What I most love about cats is that each one of them have such different personalities, just like us. My cat, Chiquito, is the most lovable cat I've ever seen in my life, he makes friends with EVERYONE, even dogs who bark for no reason at all, when he arrives, they just stop and act friendly towards him.
I will force all my friends to subscribe to you so that you can earn more money not only for a microphone but anything else you need. Your videos are so precious!
He is one of a kind... Such a peculiar way to express his "affections" ! Great story. lol.
It's so good to know of another cat with weird preferences! I also have a weird little man! My cat will NOT poop in his litter box (he actually has 3). I've tried pretty much everything: different litter, water in the tub (he poops on the floor), box in the tub (poops on the floor), empty litter box, bigger litter box, covered litter box, wet food, pheromones, etc.
Took him to the vet they ran some tests and the vet goes "I guess he's just a weird guy! At least we know he's loved very much!" Which is true. He is my son and I love him dearly.
Maybe try setting up a box with a towel. Or like another commenter suggested, a towel directly on the floor or the tub (or both). Maybe like one of my kitties, he doesn't like the feel or dust or smell of litter. Mine pees and poops on towels I put in cat boxes -- interestingly, one in the tub and one on the bathroom floor! I'm so glad you love your little man and keep him bathed in love. Best to you both.
“Here I come ... to save the day!” Mighty Cat.
A very noble cat. Even a book? Cool~
He just loves offering his "cologne" to those he adores.

@@HelpfulVancouverVet there is a site called Kofi i think, where people can just tip. Like, not a monthly thing, but a one time little payment.
Good boy Lancelot. You have a noble history.
Lancelot is a good boy! My cat used to gift me dead animals. They don’t communicate the same exact way we do, but it’s the thought that counts. Animals are so incredibly sentient and loving.
Lucifer is the name of an evil Disney cat, from Cinderella I think.
Which clinic does Lancelot stay at? I need a new vet and might be persuaded to bring my cat in there for a check up if I can meet him!
He lives at Arbutus West Animal Clinic. You are most welcome to come by and meet him!
It's only a 37 hour drive for me, I'll schedule an appointment! lol
i’ll be there in 8 hours
i’d rather be with Lancelot rather than snow covered Alberta
@@HelpfulVancouverVet I live in Ontario but I think I'm also going to make an appointment
Lancelot is a big beautiful kitty! Thank you for sharing his story
He is soooo comfy and happy.😍😍😍🐾
This is an absolutely lovely video detailing Sir Lancelot's life, and what a life he is having! :) He reminds me so much of my past cat Magic, who was a big black and white fluffy boy and was my best friend from when I was born until he sadly died at age 13.
Absolutely love this. I've just become a patreon.
Thank you so much!
what a good cat :)
Lancelot is a cutie and love his markings
Lancelot is beautiful and his name fits him perfectly. He is iconic.
Aww, what a cutie! Thanks for sharing his story. 😄
What a cute, unique, brave, baby!
We adopted a cat.The name he was given prior to adopting him was Lancelot. We like the name and he lives up to it. He is quite smart!
I like Lancelot's little cosy bed. I will check out the links and see if I can find it.
He likes it too! Although prefers to sleep in piles of laundry. One advantage of being a clinic cat: 5 loads of warm laundry per day, all towels.

😺
what a wonderful story, and noble kitty cat!!
I wanna give you all the likes! All of them
Oh, Lancelot! That was a very funny story. He is so sweet.
Thank you for sharing Lancelot's story. Every pet may have a *character flaw" but love and understanding conquers all.
Thou shall not hurt my human.
~lancy(while claws out climbing on the veterinarian)
Great story.
Handsome & noble Angel. When my senior feline best bud began to lose most control of her urinary habits, I bought loads of charcoal bamboo fabric, just put it on most things and just kept everything laundered. Obviously not everyone has time to do this, but a suggestion which worked out for us!
Awww...Lancelot is the sweetest! Thank you for sharing the story. :)
Friend of mine named her fluffball of a cat "Lucifer", or "Lulu" for short.
I like it.
Thank God my cats love the litter box more then me :)
Lancelot seems like a chill cat.
Aww what a good protector and blood-donor. The book sounds adorable, definitely share when it's done!!! :)
I saw Lancelot in another video and become an instant fan. This video is a treat for people like me who fell in love with him at first site(online love at first sight). A befitting name for a noble handsome protective fellow
I'd include his peeing and pooping affection in the children's book. It's the main reason why he's been re-homed a few times. It's also a part of his traits. A unique trait that IMO equals other notable traits such as him being a large cat, protective cat, male cat, etc..
I truly hope the furbaby wasn't punished while with his previous owners when he would shower his affection on their possessions.
If I were that employee that found a Lancelot Surprise in one of my shoes, I would love that furbaby even more. It would warm my heart knowing he thinks of me and by leaving scented presents on my belongings, I'd know he loves me, too.
Hehe, I like his original name lucifer 🤣 what a intresting cat. he's adorable but he has all kinds of tricks up his sleeve.
So cute! I wish I had a cat that noble and sweet
I had a foster kitten like this named Buddy. I had two of my own cats, and everyone got along, but after a couple of months not being adopted, Buddy started getting possessive(?). Almost every night I'd wake up to him draining his bladder on my legs through the blankets. He even did it once right on my jeans when I was in my living room with people visiting! I knew he wasn't ill (we checked).
I took him to the adoption center one weekend to leave him there for 4-5 days because he was so cute and a good cat but he was about 6 months old and hadn't been adopted yet. They called me two hours after I left to ask if I could come get him because he was meowing pitifully and so loudly I could hear him over the phone! So I went to get him and one woman there flat out said "This is your cat. You're his person." But I petted him and spent time with him there and he got adopted that day. For one day. Then I had to go pick him up because he wouldn't stop yowling.
I couldn't adopt him, so I took him back to the adoption center the next weekend. I didn't want to leave and have to come right back so I was hanging out with him and a couple who'd met him a few months back said "He's still here?!?" and they adopted him on the spot. And he loves them! A few months later, they sent us a picture of him stretched out on the TV table, totally content. YAY! He really needed to be an "only" cat, I think. They had two dogs but he was the only cat.
the only patreon i'd consider subscribing to. love his giant cat bed lol
Awwwwwwwwww Lancelot is so noble.
What a sweetheart! He doesn’t understand the best way to show affection, but at least he’s trying!
You make a great great story teller. I'm absolutely loving watching this video. Please consider making more videos like this where you recall stories as a veterinarian 😊🤗
Someone else said it on one of your other videos but you really are like the Bob Ross of veterinarians. I love your channel. Thanks.
I love Lancelot's story! He seems like a very loving cat, so laid back. I laughed when you said how he protects you and your staff!
