I've visited Prague only once in my live so far. Riding the metro was definitely one of the highlights. For some reason I really liked it. I wish to live in Prague so I could take the metro every day.
I use the C line every day and yeah, it is just so nice. Always runs, very clean, feels extremely safe. Every time I go to a different metro system I just want our Prague metro back 😅

in the 90's i have been 7 times to Phara for hollyday. I was much impressed by the Metro system. What makes me smile is that several stations haven't changed much. In the first part of the 90's i loved Praha a lot.

It's not the prettiest metro but it's very clean. Next year i'm planning to visit Prague. I'll see it myself ^^

Metro c je moje nejoblíbenější metro
Moje taky. Jsem Australan ale matka je česka.
Na každé lince je něco, co se mi hodně líbí, takže mám rád vlastně všechny. Na Áčku mám rád ty barevné stanice s hliníkovými obklady, Malostranskou jak je zasazena do té zahrady, Béčko se mi zas líbí použitím spousty skla na obklady stěn a tubus ve Stodůlkách. Nejstarší Céčko je mi sympatický tím, že je člověk hned u vlaku bez dlouhého sjíždění eskalátory a mám moc rád stanici Vyšehrad- jediná stanice s úžasným výhledem na panorama Prahy, navíc jak je umístěná v Nuselském mostě. Jen by to chtělo lépe udržovat stav těch stanic a vozový park už je docela zastaralý, zvlášť ty hlučné pekáče na A a B.
To je fakt, ty pekáče na Áčku i Béčku tu jezdí už 11 let a chtěli by vyměnit za nějaké tišší a hezčí soupravy :D
@@lukasnovak3856 Přesně! Nehledě na to, že ty kastle jsou staré už přes 30 let, ty z áčka už přes 40 let. A během jízdy je ten randál uvnitř takovej, že to přehluší i hudbu puštěnou na max do sluchátek 😂 Navíc ten nepříjemnej pískot el.výzbroje, kterej původní vlaky neměly. Je docela smutný, že mnohem modernější vlaky metra mají i v Bukurešti, Sofii nebo Moskvě.

Chtěl bys radši nějaký starý páčkový rachoťák třeba co mají v Mnichově nebo něco co vypadá jako posprejovaný mix vlaku tramvaje a metra v Římě? Já teda ne a proto jsem spokojen s 81-71M

C- Střížkov, Prosek
Souhlasím, Střížkov a Prosek jsou vážně hezké a moderní stanice, škoda jen že se tam občas potkají lidé co je ničí........ Ale to je tady skoro všude bohužel

Those strips of flashing light on some platforms are rare.

El metro de Praga se parece al metro de Maracaibo, Venezuela, mi ciudad, porqué claro, los 3 vagones del metro de Maracaibo vinieron que Praga, capital de la República Checa el 28 de julio del 2016, y los tres vagones eran de la empresa alemana Siemens, y son basados en el modelo del metro de Praga, más en específico, en el Siemens M1, llamado así en ambas ciudades.

Any idea why the C train makes the high pitched noise?
I've only heard similar sounds coming from some of the asian metro lines, but it seems very rare.
I'm not an expert so I may be wrong, but this may be the reason : en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Variable-frequency_drive
Actually most of newer train have such sounds, like Warsaw Metro inspiro, Paris Metro MP05, Budapest Metro Metropolis...
I think it's due to the fact that these trains have a lot more electronics than the old ones.

@@central-city Then I'm wondering, why the M1D metros which are the newest variant of the M1's don't make such a high pitched noise? It's an even lower frequency than the 81/71m.

What year did they get the newer trains
They were being delivered between 1996 and 2007 if I’m not wrong. The older trains on lines A and B were renovated around the same time.

Most trains will reach the end of their service life within ten years. The old Russian cars will probably be liquidated, the newer Siemens trains will be reconstructed. This is the last opinion of the City of Prague
@@4ever242 i heard that renovated cars will be replaced by trains from C line and C and D line will get new driverless trains.

Metro in line c is so noisy, why?
It just has a more high pitched noise when speeding up. They're about the same when it comes to noise as the oler ones from lines b and c.

Very similar to the tblisi metro
It was both build by soviets so it's not surprise, we should have only light metro system in Prague with our light trains or trams underground, but because of political reasons, they changed it to classic "big metro" in 60s and called soviets for help with that. I think from the long term view, it was probably good decision because original light metro would not be able move so many people as we need today. What I don't like is that we had to use soviet trains which were outdated already in time when metro was constructed, our prototype of much better train had "accident" while testing, so we had to switch to soviet very heavy trains so we had to do many upgrades of bridges because original plan was not for so heavy trains.
It's not same because everything is built by soviets (basically most Europe metro systems were), but the reconstruction of 81-717 (that train with flat front on video) was done by Škoda Transportation, Czech company, which delivered these trains to Prague and Tbilisi. So it is literally the same train made in Czechia (except Tbilisi has green and Prague red destination display in front). The other train in the video, on C line is Siemens M1, also made in Czechia, which was also made for Maracaibo metro. So both trains are driving in another city, but all trains originated from here.
How about Armenian metro? Baku metro?
@@FleskyThe Very interesting, you are right - that is the same train. Didn't know about that, because manufacturer did not mention it on it's website. Only Tbilisi one.
@@FleskyThe OK, so no ... I just tried find more info on it, and it seems there are differences. Tbilisi has our Škoda 81-71M (red/white light in front next to each other) and also 81-717M (two white lights at bottom, one red on top, old electro tech), which are very similar to Škoda, but are actually made in Gruzia by ZREBS. The one in Baku, are also Gruzia trains, not these Czech trains. Gruzia trains started in 1991, Škoda (Czech) ones in 1996 and Gruzia was customer as well as Prague. So Škoda probably did very similar design. TL;DR - Baku metro IS NOT Prague's train - just very similar Gruzian train.
