- I'm back in London and taking a quick stop at the Tower Mangal restaurant which serves authentic Turkish food and comes highly recommended according to reviews online.

This is one of the best turkish restaurants, we've been loads of time and the tea is top up without extra charge. I always eat of the menu . you can go round the back of the restaurant and 3 sinks to wash your hands. Dems in crystal palace are also good.

Turkish food is hugely underrated. When it's good it's absolutely quality and that was some value you had there. Great review again Gary. Appreciate it👍

That meal looked amazing . For a 3 course lunch, with free tea, that was absolutely 100% quality and value IMO. Sad that I live so far away, as I'd love to give that a go . Really enjoyed the video Gary .

That meal looked fabulous and super healthy! The key to authentic Turkish cuisine is that everything is made on the premises. That includes bread, hummus and sauces. In this case the meat was also house-made. So many Turkish restaurants take shortcuts and buy in products to save on time and money but you can always tell the difference. The free tea and the final price was amazingly good value. Turkish people are incredibly generous and hospitable. Thank you for this. I've made a note!
Lol calling doner kebab super healthy is a bit of an exaggeration. If you think of salad bars, poke, sushi and so on those are definitely a healthier option.

Hi Gary and Mr Cameraman, well it was great to see a Turkish review today, and you clearly picked a good one.
What an amazing price for all that food, and it was in house made also, even free Turkish tea and no service charge.
I think this is one clip that NO one will knock for the price.
I have noticed that Turkish food is becoming a lot more popular now and good on it if its any thing like your meal today.

My Turkish friend took me to what she called the best Turkish breakfast in Greenwich last weekend - Its called SEFA, you should give it a try! Get the big breakfast platter for 2! Unlimited Turkish tea - and don't forget the traditional coffee after!

Bulgar wheat and salad and the lamb Donner looks beautiful. My friends took me for a Greek meal one evening and it was very similar.they seem to share a similar taste palate Great video , great review. . What a cool guy and great channel.🤟

Well you can't say fairer than that, under £14 for all of that, no hidden charges with the bread, or service charge, in London? Looked great! Definitely in practice mode the way you nonchalantly bite into the chillis in the last couple of videos! Keep 'em coming Gary!

Great review - I've never been to a proper Turkish restaurant and that meal looked fab and healthy - Much higher quality and fresher then the Turkish Kebab place - A meal you can complete without guilt! £14 is amazing value for what you get

That looked like a gorgeous meal. Home made and lots of fresh complementary flavours. Very substantial portions as well for lunch. £13.90 seems like a good price to me. Will certainly try it next time I'm in SE London and best leave a couple of hours to eat all that food!

Wonderful that you're getting out of your comfort zone and finding you like foods you've never tried before.
Bulgur healthier than rice but wild brown rice makes a great change from white , you should give that a go as well 👍
That food was amazing and lamb my go to whatever cuisine I decide upon , that establishment deserved a good score.

Gary, Interesting review and good to see both Adana and Halep kebabs on the menu, you don't tend to see them so much. The portion seemed very big and I could forget the salad completely.
Great presentation and review of somewhere which not immediately springs to mind when looking for somewhere new to go to. Great value for the size of the meal.

Hey Hey a restaurant that I've visited several times when I visit customers in the 'Smoke', though not as often as used too! The food is excellent, but beware if you go in the evening the place is usually chocker block but the service is still excellent. The a la carte menu isn't cheap but the portions are big and every meal I have had has been fantastico!!! If you love Turkish food this is must.....Enjoy 😃

We have bulgar wheat quite a lot at home and it is nice. I thought the meat would have looked a bit more like lamb slices. The salad looked fine, you took a chance biting into the pepper. Decent value for money meal.

Bulgar is a wheat pilaf,like a rice pilaf ,but with wheat.Hummus is cooked chickpeas,puréed with tahini,and spices,and tahini is puréed sesame seeds.Hope that helps.

Hello Gary, glad you liked the Turkish food. I am replying from Turkey where I have lived for over 30 years. You should really try some Turkish home cooking, fabulous. I have the joy of being able to pop over to a Greek Island as well if I fancy any Greek food. Tiny lesser known Island and their home cooking is fabulous too. Thank you once again for a great show.

At the end of the day, £13 is truly amazing value. The salad looked brilliant and the bulgar wheat is a no brainer in terms of taste as opposed to plain rice, the lamb did look good too, but difficult to comment on that without trying it......may take the family there to find out!

Usually not a huge fan of Doner kebabs, but it looked good, and I would love the chilli sauce. So I will definitely take the trip to try it out. Do they have a beer license, as I think I would need a few with that chilli sauce and the chilli pepper. But I have to say it looked really nice and the salad, outstanding. Another great review, Gary, keeping up the fabulous work. Finally tomorrow I will be back home and able to send you an email, mate! Food looked lovely! Loved the swirl on the hummus although bread was a bit thick for me. Kebab looked good, loved the way the salad (so fresh looking and with red cabbage - a favourite of mine with kebabs - I’d have Hubby Joe’s portion) was served separately. Baklava not to my taste as too sweet but overall what a brilliant price and such good value for money?
