    ---------------------------------------------
    The Milwaukee Tool M12 Underbody Light gives me the chills. I have never been so excited to use a light under our lift ever before. This magnetic light is a game-changer for automotive mechanics all over the world. Milwaukee Tool designed this light with unmatched maneuverability. The light has two swivel points with 300 degrees of horizontal rotation and up to 180 degrees of vertical rotation.
    The strong magnetic base will cling to the slightest amount of metal. There is no worry of bumping the light and it falling due to the lack of magnetism. There is also a 12" magnetic storage tray to hold nuts and bolts.
    On high, the LED produces 1200 lumens of TRUEVIEW High-Definition Output. Milwaukee claims this is the best color light to be able to see different colors as you would in normal daylight. This LED underbody light is IP54 rated, impact, and corrosion-resistant to most chemicals found in the auto shop, guaranteed by a 5-year tool warranty.

    looks like the mechanics are in mind, but I'm thinking as an electrician this would be swell in electrical rooms where I could stick it to a panel, articulate to light up whatever I'm working on or replacing, and stick the panel cover screws to the magnetic holder on the span FFS. might just order one of these, despite having just gotten the m12 rover and about a year ago the m12 rocket light. I've never heard a tradesman complain about having too much light after all (though to be fair I may have too many dollars in lights lol)

      It would have to be mounted higher up, otherwise you'd have a rats nest of metal chips and grinder dust stuck to it. The magnets are really strong.

  • @teelee8760
    @teelee8760 Před 2 lety

    The thing with magnetic mounting is a lot of new cars are coming out with aluminum hoods. Other than that this light looks versatile. One question, how does the on off button works? Is it a one click on and off like the under hood light or is it like the rover light? I hated the rover light on off button, you have hit that button too times to turn it off.

    Thanks for taking the time on this one but... We watch this channel while taking everything at face value and $180 for a lightbulb that's made in the land of bat guano is a hard pass considering there's one being offered by the Kmart of Kung Flu tools - Harbor Freight for about 30 bucks (regular price but they can be had for $20 on sale), it has a very strong magnet, runs on an 18650, and it's rechargeable. A guy could literally stick six of those HF 'Braun' lights under a chassis for the same money at $30 a pop, and have less shadows to deal with. At 20 bucks each, a wrench monkey can get himself a drawer full for the same $180...

    • @lightweaverx4381
      @lightweaverx4381 Před 2 lety +4

      Funny you should say that. You will need 6 of them to get the same runtime using an 18650 as you would with an m12 battery. I easily have over $1000 in milwaukee lights. I can tell you without question that there is a good reason people pay the premium for them. They are the best in the business.

    • @tomsqualitylawncare5945
      @tomsqualitylawncare5945 Před 2 lety +1

      I had the same problem and solved it with a counter balance metal weight that attaches to the bottom magnet. Experiment with a couple of sizes the best I found was a 8-10mm thick 5 cm wide and a length of 20-25cm it keeps it narrow for working under cars on the ground and wont affect it when you move it around alot, and i use it this way for a work light on a desk it has never fallen over yet you could also use a wider base metal peice but the wider bottom tends to get in the way alot when moving it, I also used a couple of layers of tape between the magnet and the metal counter balance.

    Test it in a real mechanic atmosphere... you know with the majority of super tight engines small cars have that mechanics have to work with. Where you have to disassemble alternators parts of ac units and air intake manifolds just to simply change a spark plug. That would be a great test. Unless all you work with is 1 ton plus trucks this is not a fair evaluation. Any flash light will do great in a giant trucks wheel well.
