voice of reason shame there's no 20" option, the brakes are seriously huge though so for good reason. The V8 might get smaller discs and twenties

I just keep coming back to watch this as it could well be the most perfect car on sale today. Kudos to Bentley who have absolutely nailed the styling and engineering, that interior makes an Aston look like an Astra. Definitely has a place in my heated lottery win barn. Welcome to Harry's Garage, haha, I wish I could watch them all for the first time again, this is seriously the best car channel on CZcams. :-)
To newcomers, Harry at first comes across as a bit eccentric. But he grows on you. After a while you realize that his novelty is that he is plain-spoken and unaffected. He has not been corrupted by the Jeremy Clarkson influence as have other reviewers, who by law must include lurid tail slides and whoops of delight in every evaluation - and keep reminding us that the review is really about them and their cleverness. With Harry what you see is what you get, which in this case is a serious car guy with vast experience and usually (not always) good judgment. Oh, and to top it off, he’s the kind of guy you’d like to have a beer with.
*john richards* He also doesn't do the irritating, completely fake falsetto laughter that many other reviewers deem essential every time they put their foot down.

Harry - a terrific review (as usual.) I was happy to see Bentley go with the dual clutch and not the torque converter...all that power can be shifted like back in the good old days, for more fun. Rubino red is a WOW color, and with the linen interior, a natural combination.

Have to say the option list seem expensive even by Bentley standards for what they contain.
ZF 8 speed auto are available with torque converter from 300 to 1000Nm.

When i owned the previous generation Continental T from 2002 i remember looking at the then fairly new Continental GT at P & A Woods, the dealer said they were not a big fan of the GT stating it had numerous problems. Now my Conti T wasnt without fault but it was a stunning car compared to the Audi TT like shape of the 1st gen Conti GT. This new model has again stirred my interest in the GT range and it looks stunning.. This or a DBS Superleggera .. difficult call. Harrys videos are simply the best for those really interested in owning the cars he tests in real life situations .. 1st class reviews as always.
1:56 The lower in-take grilles in bright metal are optional. Must-have option, I think.

I think a lot of the other 'car youtubers' can really listen and learn from Harry. I love the technical detail Harry goes into about the car, history of the brand/model and real world applications of the car - rather than just someone kid revving a Lambo, screaming his head off around London at 20mph

The lower grille should be alloy/chrome - not plastic/black.

I saw one of these at Silverstone yesterday. No adaptive cruise control as standard? Not sure I like the quilted seats and the bling hatching inside the headlights. Its as though Bentley are trying to add tat to a car that would be great in a more simple form. The Arabs will love it though.

A Conti GT isn't normally my sort of bag, even though I've driven a few and admire them for what they are. But this is absolutely stunningly well exectuted. Lots of unexpected want.

I love this car, I just don’t understand why the developed their own infotainment system yet used the tacky plastic buttons on the steering wheel which they use on the golf

The infotainment system is borrowed from Porsche's Panamera. As to why they do this, its to bring down cost of development (hence why we have automotive groups); if Bentley were to develop a proprietary system, it would bring costs up, and it most likely wont be as reliable as a system thats been developed to perfection to suit maximum number of applications. Even the new Chiron has an Audi R8 steering wheel in disguise.
Have to find the money to pay the billions and billions of dollars of fines & legal bills that AVG are facing from their recent abhorrent behavior from somewhere I guess.

You’re right of course. Knowing how hard most people have it these days, I’d be embarrassed to be seen in a car like this. But you must keep in mind, the demographic that buys these cars considers income inequality to be an acknowledgement of the innate superiority of the elite class. Harry is not one of those people, and I suspect he would never own a Continental. But hey, he’s a car reviewer and their access to cars like this one depends on how many nice things they say about them.
John Richards Hahaha Jesus, what are you on about? Maybe there are people out there that just like nice cars (whether you or I think this car is nice is irrelevant). Harry has owned various Lamborghinis, a Pagani (possibly one of the most ostentatious sports cars ever created) and numerous other very expensive cars... owning nice/expensive cars doesn’t mean you have to be an elitist prick.
As for the saying “nice things”, Harry seems to be one of the few you tube car vloggers who will actually say when he doesn’t like something.

get a 2003 Conti with private plate for 35-40k. 99% of the public will have no idea it's almost 20 yrs old!
