It would have been a bit more useful if you had shown the actual key removal, but I figured it out. I have a K2500XS that I inherited from my daughter after she sold my Yamaha unit. This Kurzweil is built like the proverbial brick s---house! I reattached the weight on one of the black keys. I did it by taking off the 2 surrounding white keys and epoxying the weight back into place. How it broke is a mystery. I also removed the battery case and cleaned up all the corrosion. I also figured out one of the lower register keys was not working because a hair clip had fallen inside the unit. It also could have been the dime that I found! lol. Now, I'm ready to learn how to program it.
I am sorry! I didn't! But once you get inside, replacing the key is visibly clear. It's just a matter of releasing a removing and replacing a small tension spring. My apologies!
oh no need to apologize, that's totally fine. There is a little more to it, I discovered myself with a penny that lodged itself in the hammer action of a K2500X. Yes open it up, take off the spring, *then push in the tab in order to lift the key. I think you did explain that however, a great job in explaining the disassembly, it helped wonderfully
This was useful. Thanks! I'm buying a used one right now and I'm just trying to think ahead.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge Pastor! It helped me to fix my kurzweil sp-76!
God Bless!

How do you get the endcaps off? I have an sp88
Very easy unscrew from the bottom a few screws specialy the ones close to the endcaps and remount!
Any advise on replacing the volume control? Is it an easy job, or difficult?
I didn't see you show How To actually replace the Key, you just point to the key.
