For those like me who do not have the Spring Retaining Clips, exert a slight pressure and turn the unit approx 10-15 degrees to the LEFT, this releases the complete unit. Replacement is same, offer into headlamp at a 10-15 degree angle, twist to the right until it is locked .....
thats what im talking about .. hence why i do these diys... cuz merc say u need to remove front bar and headlight to change bulbs but u dont .....so glad i could help

definitely do not touch the bulb with your bare hands cuz the contaminants will degrade the bulb life...and try not to knock the bulb too much on any part of the car or headlight....

I’m a lighting designer, self taught, I do events and own my own gear. My low beam went out and I started thinking.. our search lights are Xenon so I started looking on line and found u on YT. Saved me hella time and money plus u gave me the confidence to take care of business! Lol! I know that aren’t many female lighting engineers/VJ’s much less mechanics but we are out here and find it most enjoyable! Thanks once again from the US! only if it doesn't work after changing the bulb ...it's either or ..sometimes both ..change the bulb and if it doesn't work it will be the ballast ...or it might just be the ballast FYI the ballast is alot more involve ..headlight needs to be removed to gain access
Brother. I have not tried cos I I could not work out how to release the spring holding the mount. Will try it first thing in the morning ans see if I can save the ZAR 13000.00 merc was quoting per headline . I'll tell you Utube funds had save so much money. ye if theres no clip it would just unplug ... it's not really a clip ...the plug connector just unplugs... my bad for not being specific...do u mean the pins that hold the bulbs in place
active headlamps usually mean intelligent lighting .. that's when your lights auto move wen u then tearing wheel and auto high beam on long roads and corners..usually that means the headlight motor might be no good or ballast ..u. an only know from getting scan

Hi my friend, I have problem with my 2012 w207. It's has a Xenon and as I know high beam and low beam are same Xenon bulb as on your video. So low beam operate but when I turn on High beam position left side operate but right high beam dont. please tell me does the right side xenon have a problem?
@Alex K bi xenon is only low beam with a ballast(box) only controls low beam ... and high beam is on its own because it's not xenon ... hope that makes sense e
have u tested the bulb byitself? check to see if it works on another source orjust hook it up to a 12v source and wire pos and neg rto see if the bulb turns on... so u can eliminate the bulb failure.. if thats ok then check wires ..check fuses ..run diagnosis obd2 ecu check for errors..narow down issue

u must have halogen bulbs then..ur wires will only look like mine i'd u have the d1s bi xenon headlights with hid for low beam and halogen for high beam ..do your high beams look the same ?
@@alaiia2100 are u trying to replace the bulbs or the entire headlight ? the low beam is removed via the 2 clips ..some don't have clips depends on the model ... to install a new bulb you just insert the bulb in ensuring u line it up correctly... do I have hids? or halogen bulbs ?

Crazy, the stealership in my city wanted 197.99 for the 2 bulbs and I definitely wasn’t gonna have then put it on cuz I would’ve been broke

no unfortunately not .. however the one on the ML are similar .. u would have screws holding it in ..most likely behind a cover

my W204 AMG C63 doesn't have the two clips for removal ....

@eddielam389 yes ..so it's most likely your ballast because ur lights not working can throw that messages
