Great video thanks. Now you have had it fitted fora while, is it still performing as expected? Seen some reviews which say the ecu reads the constant messages from the booster plug and reverts to the lean mixture after a few thousand miles? Thanks for response in advance.

Hi Gary, glad you liked it mate. Sadly I've since sold the bike and bought a Fantic Casa 250 off road bike. The woods were calling me.
The time I had the bike with the booster Plug though was faultless. You could tell it was working as it smelled more of fuel. It never smelt like that pre booster Plug. It felt more Torquey down low too. Lost a bit of top end but down low it pulled harder and ran smoother. None of the kangarooing at low speeds. Didn't need to slip the clutch as much.

Great video! , Like you I fitted a decat pipe that removed the cat and middle silencer but left the std end can with dB intact plus popped on the Booster plug . To be honest it was still noisy and sounded like a fart in a collander!! Also with ear plugs in and my trusty Roof helmet to totally block out the noise the bike felt flat in the mid range and disappointing.
So popped the complete etc exhaust back on with the booster plug still on and you could feel a definite surge in the power band from 5k when the the closed loop shuts down.
To my mind the cheapest way of making the Duke better is just fitting the Booster plug and fitting a 14 t engine sprocket which pretty much makes 1st gear redundant other than starting off but brings top gear far more useful and giving greater acceleration to boot.
For a total of £140 it's great way to make the Duke even better!

Thanks mate, much appreciated. Always wondered how it would sound with the stock can in tact.
Mine didn't feel flat anywhere really and felt more punchy down low. I lost a little off the top end I think.
I've dropped a tooth on my off road bike which suits it perfectly but I can't see the Duke really needs it in all honesty. I had good use of all the gears on mine. It's not like they make very thing the same though is it. Their QC isn't the best and could be down to anything.

Just as a follow up for you many Duke fans during this current warm spell we are having I have noticed a drop in performance which I am pretty sure is overfueling due to the higher temperature. It would seem where you place the temperature probe has a big effect regarding the mixture.
After many hours messing about with different exhaust set-up this is where I have ended up, The std KTM exhaust can fitted with a decat pipe that replaces both the Cat and the middle resonator box , After much trial and error i drilled a hole in the rear of the author and inserted the probe there so it reads the temperature as it comes in thru the filter element.
This seemed to cure the rich mixture so much so that I put the stock 15 tooth sprocket back and even with my 16 stone it really pulls well!
Makes some lovely pops and bangs on the overrun as well

None really. Don't decat without the booster plug. The bike is already running lean and the decat makes that worse. Long term you will damage your engine. In my opinion that is. Also, don't decat and remove the dB killer. Keep the dB killer, as the bike sounds terrible without it and the cat removed. 👍
