- I put together the perfect inexpensive compact cook set for moto camping and making coffee. I packed up the TW200 for a day trip and left the house before sunrise. As the sun was coming up I found a fun single track to ride. When I got to the perfect rock overlook spot, I set up the new cook set and made some amazing coffee. No longer do I have a need for instant coffee because for the first time I made the perfect pour-over coffee from freshly ground beans. Crazy, I'm about 30 km away from the July Mtn fire. This AM I took out my Suzuki RV 90 in clear sky, and about 1 hr later smoked out

In Boy Scouts we would boil our coffee on the fire. Pouring it through a piece of cotton cloth to avoid grounds worked well. We are taking super strong coffee. I still love strong black coffee. Hot or cold.

I thought I was the only one who does that. I still do that when I’m deer hunting. For some reason the deer really like the smell of coffee when it cooking. Maybe it smells nutty to them or something. 🤔

Try evaporated milk sometime but NOT the fat free version in your coffee. It transports well, I like the taste, won’t over power the coffee, great for camping! Always enjoy your content!

I usually go to bed just after the sun comes up so I almost always see sunset and sunrise but I just can’t sleep at night for some reason. I have struggled with this my whole life. I enjoy the dark but don’t like riding in it. Too many critters to hit. I already took out one deer and don’t want to do that again.
Also, I agree 💯 % about fresh brew over instant and I don’t think I have ever been to a Starbucks in my life. Overpriced sissy coffee if you ask me.
interesting, that's pretty cool though besides the not getting sleep part, I'm very much a night owl as well. hard to go to bed early. it's inherited in my family. yeah that makes sense. I just try and ride slower. haha yeah don't start, I think they put crack in it

It’s kinda spendy but Starbucks has instant coffee that’s pretty great. Tons of different flavors. Perfect for an am ride or backpacking. And no, I’m not schilling for Starbucks.

Good video as usual man. I have been watching and commenting just changed the channel name as I am growing pretty fast. (going to stay this name for now on, I was the Honda CRF300L channel) I hope to get some motocamping in myself this year, in Oct I plan on doing the trans New Jersey trail which is 450miles unpaved roads over a 3-4 days of motorcycling from the highest point to the lowest point in the state. I’m more of a coffee common-sewer than a coffee connoisseur, but it ALWAYS taste better while camping/outdoors. BTW….. I’m not sure if those were push-ups or just head bobs.😂

Nice video. That is something I would do (and might adapt to Florida-Tampa) on a regular basis. As for trail coffee, I take pre-ground coffee, and put it into the water as I heat it. Then I pour it through a cotton cloth, drapped over a wire strainer, into a bowl. I finish it by twisting the cloth filter and squeezing out the remaining coffee with a pair of tongs.
That sounds like a lot of equipment, but really it isn't. Each of these items have multiple uses, and are suited for extended field use.
I also like a good cigar with my coffee, so let's not forget that!

I'm leaving for my cross country trip tomorrow at 5:00 a.m.! Going from Virginia to Colorado to Utah to Texas to Florida and then back up the east coast to Virginia. Definitely glad I went with a dr650 over a DRz400 😂

Definitely the scenery out there is absolutely gorgeous. We have some beautiful mountains here in Pa but not quite as epic as Colorado. That makes adventure riding twice the fun.

@@TDubsKid not sure which one you meant but there are several that I know of and yes been to a few. There's one on an old abandoned part of the Pa turnpike that's pretty cool but the best one I've been to is near my hometown of Monongahela pa up on a hillside where an old railroad tunnel is. Long and on a curve pretty spooky. Can't see daylight since on a curve on either side. About half mile long. Some of the views in your vids of Colorado are spectacular! Videos are epic, love the channel!!!

Nothing like camp coffee on a percolator, but it's to big. I was looking at that press, I ended up with the kit with 2 green cups from Stanley. I will add that strainer for sure. Great video as always, thanks

I rode Rampart Range OHV today looking for some basic single tracks that are very easy. I’m riding a 2022 TW200. I hope to get 20 years use out of it. I’m 73. Could you suggest some good beginner trails.
Oh cool, the single tracks can get a bit technical they are all black, but are fine if you go slow usually. The green and blue trails are good ones to start with. Heres to many more years of riding 🍻

Hey Wes, glad to hear! We have endless trails to explore here. Glad to hear, a cycleracks would be good for elk hunting, never touched the carb besides idle speed, over 17,000 miles now, ride anywhere from 6000 feet to 13,000 feet. No problems at all. No problem!

I think I’m still about that instant coffee life 😅 I love coffee and typically prefer french press but I can’t get over how simple and small just bringing some Starbucks Via packets are when moto camping and space is at a premium. It’s tolerable enough for me I guess haha
yeah they are the best if you are trying to be as compact as possible, starbucks via is not bad at all, they made instant coffee good
I prefer fresh brew but I always have Folgers instant singles in my tail bag for just in case. Lol. I gotta have my caffeine one way or another or I get a migraine.

How tall are you and can you put both feet on the ground on those TW200s?
i'm 5'4" and yes but not flat foot
When my bike is fully warmed and I run it hard through the gears sometimes it seems like the valves are clicking harder than normal at irregular intervals. Is this normal?? It sounds like normal valve tick but seems like it hits harder at irregular intervals when hot and accelerating
yeah start with checking valves and oil level, also if you don't have an auto chain tensioner, check that too
