- Hampstead is one of London’s most beautiful neighborhoods. For centuries many of Hampstead’s notable residents have chosen to be laid-to-rest in the ancient churchyard of St. John-at-Hampstead or in Hampstead’s Victorian ‘garden’ cemetery. This video illustrates the story of these two impressive burial grounds, their notable occupants and remarkable funerary monuments.

Thank you for your comment. Perhaps the opening is sycophantic but I believe it is an accurate description. I am not a resident, just a visitor who found the area delightful.
I daré to Say that glasnevin cementery in Dublín is much better, well kept than this one
Maintenance is constant struggle for all cemeteries, most of which have some parts less well kept. Hampstead has some very well kept sections.
It has some of the most expensive houses and some of the biggest crooks.
They go hand in hand.
Follow the money and you will find the truth.
