After this video I want to request you to kindly make a video on Floods,Landslides n losses caused this monsoon in Himachal Pradesh (Kullu,Manali, Mandi n Shimla) due to excessive highways constructions, cutting of mountains, deforestation, building of tunnels etc. I shall appreciate if you do. I have travelled on the Char Dham Roads and it has enhanced the road safety and decreased the journey time but once i have encoutered a deadly landslide also so i think that authorities shall do the proper survey of the area before cutting slopes for road and tunnel development and leave the fragile areas untouched such as Joshimath , Uttarkashi district's and some other areas which are fragile.

It impacts local economy and quality of life but at the same time when government does development they oppose them. This is the best example of educated illiterate.
@@Allinone-qf2kd but the frequency and extent of landslide and land subsidence has risen up due to developmental works and this is quite evident in all environmental studies (not just dhruv's points). Moral of the story is we need to maintain equilibrium between environment and development that's why proper assessment needs to be done in any developmental work through cost benefit ratio.

The video is actually one of the most needed one. Recently read Ravi Chopra's interview in Economic Times. He said, "10,000 Deodar trees are to be cut, 10,000 deodar trees don't grow overnight". The times are hopeless.. Would avoid going to Uttarakhand for a year or so😢😢

I am from uttarkashi, and i like that you made such a detailed video on this topic... As there were too much ups and downs during the rescue, Local People were believing that this incident was done because baba baukh naag was upset with this construction, they must watch this video to open their eyes. The place where i live is eco sensitive zone.. during rainy season, the travelling is too much difficult and risky, bcz landslides are not predictable.. you can stuck anywhere, many people have lost their lives on road bcz of these landslides... In my place this chardham project is going on from last few months, they are cutting hills and hills are falling down with debris and sand, and the condition is like if road is clear today, tommorow there will be a huge heap of debris bcz of landslide and the road will be blocked, bcz ultimately these people are making our hills weak... we don't want any development anymore.. our lives are way more important than these so called development... you have open so many things about char dham project very fearlessly.. you are such a brave man.. thnx a lot ❤

As someone who lives in Shimla(Himachal Pradesh) it's only been a month or two i've watched how gruesome these landslides can be, our schools were closed and there was no means of transportation left as roads weren't in workable conditions. it took weeks to just make them workable so atleast vehicles from one side could move and honestly it was actually scary to see all the trees bended in a dangerous angle as if they'll fall on us any moment. it's like a ritual no strict action is taken until and unless we face tremendous repercussions

The one you are most glad for is the one who constantly criticizes the government for problems like the collapse of the Uttarkashi Tunnel but never shows gratitude for incredibly successful projects like the Atal Tunnel, which has had zero accidents.
@@ayushdhiman6087 Not me but, the activists did give useful measures like max width of the road, etc etc, but you see, none of it was followed. And as for speaking towards successful projects, it surely has benefitted the people, which is definitely appreciated. But if no one criticises us, letting us know we're wrong, how will we improve? And very few people can actually speak up, or else you're behind the bars or killed. So I'm glad Dhruv is using his power to spread awareness. I hope we both agree on terms that some changes are necessary.

Also, him speaking about any other groups or activists wouldn't cause a change even wouldn't affect people since it's pure dictatorship rn.
