    I appreciate the solid frame with aluminum shroud over a sleeved stainless steel barrel. To mitigate flame cutting of the top strap if the frame was made out aluminum too.

    I own a Smith and Wesson X-frame 460V with a five inch muzzle brake equipped full lug barrel. I use the cast bullet muzzle brake exclusively because it extends the brake beyond the front optic tube sight and plugs the top ports. And it shoots jacketed bullets just fine so no use for the jacketed bullet ONLY use muzzle brake supplied.
    Can shoot 460 S&W magnum, 454 Casull, long loaded 45 Colt and heavy loaded 45 Colt. 45 Schofield is also useful to shoot.
    TK Custom altered the cylinder to use their stainless steel moon clips to shoot 45 ACP. As a bonus the 45 ACP moon clip also holds to fire 460 Rowland, 45 Super and 45 Winchester magnum using Starline brass.
    Installed an extra long firing pin from Cylinder and Slide that allows shooting the rimmed cartridges without the need of a moon clip. Only the semi auto cartridges demand use of the moon clip.

      @@GSquaredTactical thanks for doing the hard work making these videos for fans like us to watch. Maybe do a video on my 460V and get some revenue generated on a custom S&W build. Just an idea.

      Wait the longer firing pin allows you to shoot those extra 3-4 calibers?

    My biggest is a .44 magnum, and I load them down a bit so it’s easier for range use. Not a fan of hand pain. Some people love the wrist breakers

      I had an ultralight 5-in Taurus 44 mag and that sucker kick like a mule because it was ultra light I will never get one of those again. It kicks as hard as my 460 in some cases. The long barrel with a muzzle breaker really helped.

    The biggest selling point to me is it will shoot .45 Colt, .454 Casull and .460 S&W. That makes it s very versatile pistol. Coupled with Rossi R92 lever rifle in .454 Casull that also shoots .45 Colt gives you a phenomenal combo.

      There's a company that will mill the cylinder for moon clips/ 45 auto.
      I would buy a second cylinder to due that.

    I have bought one of these and I'm considering the second one to the left hip because it only holds five shots. I'm new at this and I need all the help I can get. I'm going elk hunting with bear moose and wolves. Pretty big for a dog but I also carry one of my shoulder holster that's a 10 mm that has a lot more shots. I just don't see that 10 mm stopping a grizzly fast but this would as fast as possible anyway.

    • @GSquaredTactical
      @GSquaredTactical  Před 11 dny +1

      I’ve never been in that situation, but I have heard that a lot of people use the 10 mm round for just that purpose. Thanks for watching and for commenting and please be sure to subscribe if you have not already.

    I would really like to know what the best scope is for this thing and whether I should be getting a red dot or a scope. This is meant as a close quarters big game gun when my 300 is too much up close. I have grizzlies moose elk bear that are just small ones and wolves where I'm at I need all the help I can get.

    Great video. Thanks for the input. Does the accuracy change much if you shoot .454 Casull or .45 Colt? Keep up the good work!

    • @GSquaredTactical
      @GSquaredTactical  Před 7 měsíci +1

      For us it remained the same when we didn’t try to compensate for felt recoil. As you can imagine the casull packs a heck of a punch in comparisons to the colt, but all together you maintain the consistent rifling of the barrel.

    Hmmm I read in a review they measured 9.5 lb single action trigger pull. WTF?? Is that the same with yours? Or is again the old Taurus story you get +/- 5 lbs trigger?

    • @GSquaredTactical
