i myself at not quite 57 just went back to laboring manufacturing work and still grind and keep up with 20 to 30 year old workers even after 5 years of sitting on my ass that period, age is not always a barrier

A lot of it is genetics. I've been an athlete all my life and now at 59 am barely able to function. Age catches up to some of us sooner than others.

Perhaps maybe not “giving away secrets”but exposing potential flaws that could be exploited if trained to counter. I am saying, if your technique has changed across a 30 year span, you don’t wanna show any weaknesses that have developed that you may expose on tape. I’m not saying this is definitely what it is, but I think stealing secrets may just be a misnomer for what I described. That all said, it is likely simply to hype the match and intimidate Jake.

Mike has the instincts of a wild animal which haven't disappeared, and after 30 years on the bench he has grown far wiser - I personally hope that he can control that rage to explode when it counts rather than just going full force frontal assault exhaustion mode.

@user-cr8wv4es2f yeah I feel like the people thinking mike is gonna 'explode' on Jake only have a casual interest in boxing and are the type of people to say they're of fan of mike but have never seen him fight outside of tik tok edits. His last fight with Roy wasn't impressive and there's no chance hes gonna look better than he did those years ago. Roy couldn't even win against Anthony Pettis last year. Casuals need to realize these men are not in their prime and this isn't some anime where these guys can just flip the switch.
If you guys don't believe Mike has a chance, then congratulations on the free money you'll get from betting - I never claimed Mike was a guaranteed winner, in fact i'd say it even makes sense his odds of winning are worse than Jake, but his only path to victory is to figuratively explode in a short burst, an all or nothing, if he fails then he losses in round 4-5.
Cardio fitness is one of the easiest things for an older athlete to get back - especially with 12 weeks of training to make it happen.

@@jasonvoorhees5640 As one of the best boxers who ever existed - his cardio is one of the best that's ever existed. Not a lie dude - and just because Mike tended to win his matches early doesn't mean he didn't and can't go the distance. And - being Mike's age - I can confirm from personal experience that, for a life-long athlete, cardio is one of the easiest to get back after a few years of inaction. That's not a lie - it's the truth borne out by actual experience. Now lets see on July 20 if Jake can handle the older version of the hardest puncher on the planet!

If you notice, at the last part of his sprint that you pointed out his arms being a little bit stiff and straight and his stride changes, it's because he's coming up on a wall (dead end) and he's slowing up because he has to. Take another look at it and it's very clear the wall is ten feet in front of him at the end.
There seems to be channels dedicated to spamming the same video clips of Tyson smashing a heavy bag or pads. BUT nothing of him running...why because he probably can't run due to his severe sciatica.

I think what adds to the "editing" aspect of these Tyson posts is the camera shake/camera movement along with the combinations which makes it appear much faster

Had a new neighbor call the cops in me after coming g home fro. Doing a 2yer sent. And the new neighbor was under the impression I had a restraining order on me . Long story short his accent was thick like this guy and I took his comment to the 911 oper .as being raciest cause he told the. To hurry cause I was greasy. The whole event was hilarious to me he sounded like fatt bastard from Austin powers. He told me he was gonna break me and eat me I was like lololo while retelling the story for like the 20th time a friend of mine e starts to laugh so hard and I aske why she sais to me you dumb ass he didn't say you were greasy he was saying to hurry cause your crazy 🤪. I agree, but what everyone needs to remember is Tyson boxed from 10 onwards. That muscle memory is so different from someone who started at 15 or even 20. So yes, he is old. He won't be as fast. But will he know how to box, hit and move? Certainly.

It's obviously edited. But you know from actually being in combat Mike only has to be that good for a couple seconds. "To be the man you have to be at the man" (Ric Flair) if it's real Jake won't last 3 rounds
If Mike tyson can't find Jake's chin in the first couple rounds or jake lands one of his overhand rights going to be an ugly fight for Mike. Jake's not been knocked out yet despite multiple pro fights and knocked out most of his opponents, including a couple small time pro boxers. Tysons much more skilled and still has power but I'm worried this fight won't go well UNLESS it's scripted. Younger people have no idea how much things change as you age.

That quick cut editing makes it look faster than it really is
The clip of Tyson running that you are describing as robotic at 4:21 is when he is decelerating. You see that he runs normally initially, but the robotic part is when he's actively decelerating as he's probably approaching the gym wall. You can see that his upper torso leans back as he tries to slow down.

Solid video. Would be great to see a side by side against older footage from his prime. With one swing you could calculate how much slower he is now. As for the sprint, he looked dog ass slow. I love Mike. My favorite boxer of all time. I’m worried his legacy will tarnish fighting an unskilled guy in his prime. What goes first are reflexes…he is going to get tagged.
Don't think so - Mike gains nothing from a gentleman's agreement to not knock Jake out. Jake is unlikely to knock Mike out - because Mike is notoriously hard to land knock out blows on, being the most elusive heavy weight boxer since Ali. If Jake is not kicking back some of his money from this fight - any gentleman's agreement Mike may have agreed to will have been given just for Jake to drop his guard - which will make it even more likely Mike will knock him out.

Absolutely spot on about the training camp length. I had a few amateur fights and the difference between a 6-8 week lead in, and a 10-12 week lead in is absolutely unbelievable.
As for Iron Mike, I think that it's going to be a matter of him trying to get rid of Jake within 2 rounds before his age/ring rust/fitness levels catch up and his adrenaline is all dumped. If he doesn't, then he'll slow, allow Jake to sit on the outside for another 2/3 rounds while he catches his breath and maybe have one more round, one more flurry in him, before he's spent.
Good video. People don't understand what it means to be 58 years old and how good of a boxer is JP is. I did feel better about Tyson after seeing some sparing footage though.
I was just saying the same thing to someone today about the edits. Having said that, I think Tyson has enough left in him to make this a very short-lived fight that he wins by knock out. I reckon all it will take is for him to be on the receiving end of one or two of those onslaughts and Paul takes a nap. That's if it's a real boxing match and not a exhibition.

Spot on shaun ,clever editing hypes up the fan boys ,16oz gloves will help protect Mike's brain ,punch resistance goes with age ,but also help Jake paul to avoid a knockout .Mike HAS to finish it early as he's fighting a young guy at peak fitness .

I'm glad someone else said it. I truly hope Mike absolutely destroys him but Jake is a good boxer and much younger than Mike so I feel like it's a lot closer than people think its gonna be. Again though I want Mike to RIP through him like paper I absolutely hate Jake but I'm under no illusions he has a fighters chance of beating an old time great.

as a self learned editor, where ive used imovie and kinemaster, not really known or any good editing apps, but what ive observed, is that the sound of the clips, seems to be sync with the audio, or vice versa. this could be easily done, by speeding the video up, and then lowering the pitch, so that i sounds in sync, but this is uncommon, and it probably tells that, MIKE TYSON IS A BEAST!
thinking a video would be edited by mike tyson, because of assumptions isn't evidence, the assumptions made are not but mere guessing, of what looks cool to ones eyes, which isn't an optimistic nor a critical approach. being critical is checking the given sources.
by the way, to tell if a video has been sped up, is by the look of the fps, this usually in 99 percent of cases is apparent (99% is just a saying), mike tyson has been training, and there is still videos to come up, and until they get released, then you would change your opninion? the time tells...

Yup, they reduce the frame rate so it looks quicker then it is. Typical they do it in action & war movies.
If you can, watch an action movie filmed at 60fps, it's really hard to watch, as you can see every movement... the action will look theatrical and looks super fake.
