Man I loved the time Uber was still here, so many promotions and cheaper rates unlike grab, and you can compare the two's prices before you get on the car lmao

I used to drive Uber . Completely abusive companie going against their own regulations especially with driving minors . I would report minors with no adult supervision and they would use it against me with rating . F them.

That sucks, my friend's dad drives for them, but he's retired and he used to own the tic tack company, so he doesn't need the money.

Without Uber we would still have cabs charging ridiculous amount. I remember 15 years ago I paid $20 to travel 10 minutes by cab. I guess on the other hand there’s a much much lower chance of getting sexually assaulted in a cab than an Uber

I don`t want my country to become a shithole, so i don`t have a problem with paying money if i really need a taxi. Uber does not pay the drivers well, and they ruin the taxi business that pays at least fine. Thank god they don`t have become big here, they would need to change alot for me to use them.

@@thomask5434 taxi business can afford the fine because they charge twice as much as Uber. You may be good money to afford cab cost but there’s many people in your country that can’t afford it and I don’t even know your country but I bet there’s many low wage employers, homeless people, and people on benefits

ALL of these companies/corporations eventually turn to greed. I lmao @38:01 when the guy said “there was very little loyalty from both rider and driver when both would have the Uber and Grab app open and whichever was cheaper and whether the driver would make more money they would take THAT ride”, The speaker makes it sound like that’s a bad thing. Of course, every consumer wants to make the best possible decision for themself AND the driver wants to earn as much as possible.

FYI.. if you're going to spend any time in a certain place in Southeast Asia find you a local driver with his own car and it will be cheaper and better than any taxi service. Sometimes if you look using some of the faith-based churches and get a religious person it would be better most of the time. You can take your chances on a Tuk Tuk or public transportation but I would rather a personal car myself with air conditioning. It is the same with using doctors and dentist and attorneys to use somebody that has a good reputation from word-of-mouth. Lots of times the local CZcamsrs have contacts with the locals and expat Community which know lots of shortcuts. Just saying

The Philippine government or transportation department whatever you call it ripped uber off of our country. The transpo department keep asking for millions of pesos everytime they think uber 'did something wrong'.
Now we only have Grab who is super duper overpriced! Because they dont have any business competition anymore!

GrabCar rates in the Philippines are overpriced. Before the pandemic started, if I could commute via public transportation and not be in a hurry to get someplace, then I'd opt for that instead.

That's interesting I always when I compare Uber with the rest apps I don't feel that it's worth it .. I prefer other competitors in the market.

Uber(and other taxi services) should be charged 15-20% surcharge per drive, because they are creating more emissions than any other human being. Exclusion would be hybrid or electric cars.
But plain old diesels(what make 80% of taxi's) should be punished way more!

You will own nothing but YOU will be happy.
Uber will be one of the few people will own the wealth.
I use uber only when I have no choice, try other company like BOLT AND OLA

Was willing to try Uber the other day.. when it finally found me a driver it wanted £60 for a journey we'd have charged £20 for (we owned a taxi rank).

  • @mkyx6441

    it's either:
    uber which is much more consumer-friendly with lax and lower fares but its regulations and conditions employees have to adhere often bends local ordinances;
or grab where the welfare of the drivers are much more protected and secure thanks to government intervention but the price is way too much for an average commuter.
one has to lose i guess lol

In short uber brought to many western europeans and attitudes without respect to ethnicities and the culture that already was established in Jakarta.
