  • Mercian Cycles began in Derby in 1946 and are still building bespoke lightweight steel frames, by hand, using traditional frame-building methods with one craftsman building each frame from start to finish.

    Always remember admiring the beautifully finished Mercian's when for many years they had their stand at the York Rally.

    Had a Mercian since I was 16. (Now 41). Mercian have resprayed it a few time. Lovely frame. For long distance or winter riding, I take the Mercian. The carbon stays hanging up for racing. Great little vid.

    wonderful artistry, I just found a 1970 Superlight in Legnano green, a stunning frame...can;t wait to outfit it in its former glory with campy nuovo record.
