  • This is part one of my surgery and recovery video detailing my experience with a discectomy. Our daughter will also be needing hip surgery which will be major part of the next few videos. Let me know in the comments below, if you've had this surgery how was your recovery process?

I am having this pain last 6 month or more . Not sure if I could take the risk of going for a surgery . Many of my known people including in various online forum people have different opinions . I m just not sure what to do

Very young to have those back problems
Also very fast to go and have surgery I have the same problem for 20 years no surgery I get lot pain multiple disk bulge but I manage with painkiller cortisone injection , Exercise physio , I see surgeon many of them but no one suggest surgery they tell me I will be worse and I will still have pain
I can see from some people who had the surgery complaint of still having pain
So make me hesitate to have one

Surgery was the best thing I ever could have done. Went 2 years with the pain. 2 years too long. Been 100% for a long time now.

@DadTalk Im with you, the epidural wouldn't even help me and I was limping through work every day. I'm on day 13 with a lot of nerve pain still but it comes and goes. I know I have a few weeks to go before I feel better.

everyone having discectomy should probably stay in bed for 2 weeks , with little up time for toilets only ...no bending no twisting
