That clicking is just because the housing on the gear cable has stretched a bit. When they’re new and you put some miles on the bike. You just need to tighten the gear cable up a bit. See the barrel adjuster near the gears on the back wheel? Turn that a quarter turn anti clockwise. A bit at a time until the clicking stops and you get smooth gear changes through all the gears. It seems scary, but it’s easy.
