Americans: you need a pilots license a woofer certification, a backcountry pass, a cdl, and oh don't forget about your dmv inspection. And we forgot to ask are you chainsaw and fire certified.
Actually, this is an ultralight aircraft, which doesn't need a pilot's license or anything- that's why kids fly them (to my knowledge not in boat form though). I realize you were making a joke, but none of those are required for this. No boating license either, but Floridians born after 1988 (I think these pilots are older) need to pass an education course.
I used to build these engines on a daily basis, theyre basically retrofitted snowmobile engines though some are built as experimental aviation engines. Looks like a rotax 582/618 or 670 running inverted with the E gearbox.
My neighbor used to be a salesman for a company that made these. Until people started getting hurt and one died. So the company just moved to a different location and started selling there. These things are absolute death traps

Two of my teacher pilots from Turkish Aeronautical Association in Yalova Brunch in Turkey build back in 1987-88. I remember them talking about replacing the inflatable bottom part of the boat to a fibreglass one so it makes a better take offs. Back then I was so happy to see them flying around my home town and to see this video reminded of those memories.
