Do you have a left handed version of this video? If you are left handed, you can convert ANY video on CZcams yourself! Simply go to www.mirrorthevideo.com/ and follow the instructions to mirror flip any video to convert to left handed!
How much yarn will I need? This is a very tricky question to answer as there are so many variables! How much yarn you need will depend on which yarn you choose, the thickness of that yarn, your tension and how large you want your finished project to be. I suggest making a small sample first so you can gauge how much yarn you'll need. If making a crochet square, you can weigh your finished square to work out how much yarn it used!
How many squares do I need for a blanket? That all depends on the size of the square you are making and how big you want your finished blanket to be! I always advise making one square first then measuring the size of it. From there you can work out how many squares you will need to get the blanket size you want 😀
Do you have the written pattern? Yes! I have written patterns to accompany my video tutorials on my website here: www.hookedbyrobin.com The written pattern is generally released a week or so after the video tutorial to ensure there are no errors in the video itself and to make amendments in the written version if any are found. All the written patterns are FREE to access on my website
How can I print the pattern from your website? Do you have downloadable PDF's? Not at this time no. This may change in the future but for now, I only provide the written pattern directly on my website.
Can you remake this video so it is slower? If the video speed is too fast, you can slow it down! 😀 See this video on exactly how: • How to Adjust the Spee...
Why do you use American stitch terminology? I learnt using USA stitch terms, long before I even knew there was a difference between UK & US terminology! American terms are my "first language" so to speak. If you need a conversion chart, I have one here! www.hookedbyrobin.com/crochet...

I made mine 130cm long. I'd think 130 to 150cm is a good length. That's around 66 shell rows using a medium 4 yarn with 6.5mm hook. It took about 300 metres/ 250g of Lion Brand Landscape yarn (blue lagoon). It's so beautiful and a mother's day gift for my mum. She loved it. Thank you so much for creating this video!

I just placed an order for this yarn and received it about two weeks ago. I absolutely love it and it has become my fav yarn of all time topping RH Unforgettable. This yarn is prettier and less expensive than Unforgettable. I’m fixing to place another order. I live in the US and shipping was very reasonable. You won’t regret this purchase. It’s less than $3USD per skein. Now I have a new pattern to use my new yarn with. This is exactly the pattern I was looking for for Christmas scarfs for family. Thanks! 💗🧶☀️

I can't thank you enough for this tutorial and the gloves one!!!!! The fact that you explained how we should start the next row after the 5th one made it much easier to follow. I tried a similar pattern once and it ended up being very wonky because they didn't explain how we should go after the 5th row.

Hey Robin❣️You are such a great teacher!! I slowed the speed to 75% and I was able to CAL with you, no problem 😉 I wanted to ask you if you ever use Red Heart Unforgettable yarn, because it is giving me such a difficult time. It’s rather fiddly, which is a shame because the yarn is so beautiful but my stitches aren’t symmetrical. I am up to the 5th row and my work just looks a mess. Twice I have had to frog, which didn’t work and I had to cut off the first 4 rows TWICE…. Very frustrating. It says 4 medium weight, but I think it’s roving, getting very thin then down the way getting all thick and puffy.
I think 💭 I am about ready to pull my hair out. But, I love your tutorials so much, have made many projects with you. So, thank you so much. You are a gem❣️🫶🏼✌🏼🤩

Katherine Harding Hiya! I ended on a non shell row - so one of the v stitch set up rows - I eyeballed it so didn't note down which row unfortunately! I sewed them together with a bog standard whip stitch - you don't really notice the join at all so I don't think it matters massively where you end - I can send a pic if that helps?

For the scarf I used 1 and a half balls of Boho Spirit 👍 For the gloves, I can get multiple pairs from 2 balls (I buy 2 balls of the same colour so I can colour match them - sometimes I'm lucky and both balls match so I have zero wastage meaning I can get about 3 pairs of gloves; other times I'm not so lucky and get 2 pairs!)

Hi Robin, was wondering if you can make a hat to go with the scarf and gloves. I love both patterns and will be making this for a Christmas gift and need a hat/beenie/toboggan to go with it. Expecially if it has earmuffs on it.
    Much appreciated..
    Thanks....

This pattern is absolutely amazing and this video is excellent!!!!❤
On a venting note: I really struggled with this yarn (bought the same as in the video) some parts of the strand were extremely thin and some very thick. 😢 is it just me? Am I missing something? Or is that just how some yarn is?

I had the same issues but the colors are so magnificent, I decided to suck it up. I used the Suzette Stitch and it looks absolutely amazing. Now using the same yarn (different color) and using the Sieve Stitch and it is coming up a treat. Thank you Robin !!!

Hi Robin, I'm considering doing this pattern for some new multi coloured yarn, which is 150g, 375m long. Would this be enough? Also is it possible to do the shell pattern for the bottom half on each end and then treble crochet or double crochet the remainder? Thanks. Hug from Tasmania 💞
