ABOUT ME
I’m 30 years old and I’m a sheep farmer from Ayrshire in South West Scotland, which is why I have such a strong accent! I was born and raised on a sheep farm watching my dad who was the shepherd.
At 18 I went away from farming to work in the city (something I still do) and at 23 (2013) I decided I wanted to do something for some extra money so I went on a sheep shearing course. The hardest thing I’ll ever do was learning to shear sheep. [shudders thinking about it]
I shore whilst on my holidays from work for 2 years and then in 2015 my dad died so I decided to get my own sheep so I could continue working with sheep as it was something I loved doing. From there it escalated quickly from my first 4 sheep in my mum’s garden to now running around 600 breeding ewes.
I shore over 15,000 sheep this season in UK and I also travel to Norway for shearing in March and September. (Covid messed it up this year)
A few years ago I bought myself a sheep pregnancy scanner and have been building up my run since then.
I watched a few farm vlogs on CZcams and decided I could have a go and now here we are!
Thanks for watching my videos and please subscribe if you want to see more in future.
Very beautiful to watch the sheep moving almost like water pouring down the road.
Yeah they always look amazing from the sky!
I love watching sheep flow.
Watching the sheep move down the roads via the drone was beautiful. Your dogs were working well. It's always wonderful to see how the dogs work.
How brilliant you are to show us a' gate mistake' of your own and move on with positivity. Such a wonderful message to us all.
We have a VERY small flock here - all I can physically handle these days. I tend to just lead my sheep where they need to go with a bucket. I love to watch your dogs work your sheep. You have some great helpers there.
Wow! Love the drone view of the dogs working the sheep. Beautiful views of Scotland.
My dad was a shepherd he used to run his own clippers through his own hair every end of march just before lambing and on last shearing day. Go on I dare ya !
Even when you were talking in the field the dogs keep going doing their own thing. You had marvellous weather for the job. Cheers 🍷🍺👍🏼🐶🐾🐾🐶
Loved the drone view of all the sheepies going a walk 😊 Really glad I’ve found your channel. I loved when the BBC did their lambing live series and it was awesome. They’ve not done it in ages. Looking forward to seeing all your lambs!
Thanks, plenty of lambs on the ground now! doesn't time just fly 😊
the drone shots are wonderful. I love watching the dogs work the sheep. It's pure instinct to round them up.
and how cool is that truck? a sheep lift no less
Thanks Julie, sometimes I can just tell its going to be great drone footage and always look forward to getting it on the big screen.
The drone footage is great, but its selective breeding and training that makes shepherd dogs effective. If it was, then they'd be killing and eating the sheep, not herding them. There are no herding wild dogs or wolves in nature, it took human imagination and hella patience to selectively breed those dogs' ancestors to get the end result, and the shepherd has to train and reinforce that selectively bred trait, it's not instinctual.

Chasing sheep is bred into the sheepdogs (and could therefore be termed "instinctual"), but getting them to herd sheep effectively definitely requires training.
Some cracking mules there Cammy. That won’t be the last time that happens to the gate. Just have to laugh and get on with it. 🤣
What is a mule please
@@bg588 mule ewes are cross bred sheep. Produced from breeding Black face ewes and a Blue Face Leister ram.
Catching up on more videos I’ve missed. The drone shots are great and we’re able to really see some of the way the dogs work.
I love James’ puppy is the co-pilot, better yet the trip advisor !
Another good video.
The sheep look wonderful. So clean considering they are outside sheep. Looking forward to lambing, it is so fascinating.
The sheep are in fantastic shape. I do like your sheep. Great video and great helpful information. I hope all goes well with lambing .
Thanks Ronald!
Love watching the sheep and even more love watching your dogs work the sheep! So cool!
Thanks Shannon
The ewes look all cosy in that shed 😀 the maternity suite
That’s it Jane! Flat oot!
Brilliant as always! Loved the shots of the sheep going through the foot bath and loading into the trailer. Quality stuff. And hey, best wishes for a smooth and productive lambing season!
Thank you very much!!! I’m excited!
Keep the videos going camy love them
Ya I know🇮🇪
Thanks guys!
In my family (British), we'd say you'd get a "telling off" or "being told off." Hope your little lamb with the swollen head does well. Your ewes look wonderful! And your dogs are grrrreat! Yours in Gratitude for all this wonderful video footage.
Thanks Wendy, lamb with the swollen head is doing great, they are loving this great weather and growing well.
Your dogs are awesome good job they do . I bet u feel blessed for all they help you do. Looks like over all things went well. I'm excited for lambing to begin . I watch the canada sheep raiser Sandi Brock she ls how I found your channel. Have a good day. Thank u for sharing .
Watching Sandi as i type this!! Thanks Tanya!
Sheep are looking grand Cammy. Love lambing season. We’d call that a bollocking in our house, though cause of the kids we’d tone it down. Although eldest isn’t afraid to dish one out to us at times. Haha!
Wonderful drone vid of the sheep moing like a river flowing. Moved sheep thousands or times but had never seen s flock from overhead
Loved the aerial shots, as always. The loading into trailer was great. Looking forward to your planning season. 🐑🐑🐑
Another super view of the craic with you & Lizzy aye..... over younder under the Scottish skies. 👍😎.
Happy Easter 🐣
Aye some laugh eh?! She puts up with a lot!!
The music you chose while the drone was flying was great!! Enjoyed your video. Thanks!
Hey Cammy, that truck with the lift was awesome! You’re right, the sheep do look good, nice to see. Also I’m glad the little lamb is ok. Great to see you have a sponsor, can you please tell us the type of things that are in the Crystalex? I assume it’s some type of mineral supplement, sorry if you said and I just didn’t hear. Also a shout out to CRYSTALIX, thanks for supporting Cammy, we LOVE his channel! Finally, as usual, the drone footage was great. It’s amazing to see how the sheep follow each other. It’s also obviously a great way to check your sheep health. Did you notice the lame sheep? A bit difficult to find her in the whole flock but at least you now now to look for, cool! Glad to see you’re having some beautiful weather, may it keep on! Hi to Lizzy and may you both have some time to reflect this Easter. 😀🦘🐨
A great piece of kit for moving the sheep with minimal stress 👍
I think in the States a "swearing" would translate into "a chewing out"
Interesting translation Stacey, great to here all the variations
"Chewing out" would be a PG conversion. "A cussing out" would probably be more accurate.
Beautiful footage of a fine farm. Thank you!
Loved seeing the Sheep on Parade.
Cammy, it is always a great time watching you. You all do a great job with your ewes. I could not work as hard as you do. 😉 Fantastic vlog and praying you have many healthy lambs. ❤ from Pennsylvania 🇺🇸
If you've ever been to Disneyland, you will feel for these sheep, in a queue like the rest of us waiting to get on Pirates of the Caribbean!
Goodness your country is beautiful! I love the aerial views. So pretty.
Really enjoyed the logistics in this video....Hoping you have a successful season 👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks Keith, fingers crossed we get good weather for a few weeks.
Beautiful work moving those ewes, I love the drone footage. Nothing better!!
Great video. That trailer is great. I've never seen anything like it before. The sheep look pretty good
.Happy Easter.
Love watching the dogs work. Great music choice. Happy Easter! 💐
From the drone shot it was a 10 out of 10 for the 2 mob merge. Sheep look great. Well done and good luck for lambing.
We call it 'Getting Cussed out' or 'Getting your ass handed to you'! Cute lamb! Shirley (is that her name) is gorgeous! Sorry, what kind of ewes are these? I love their dramatic fleece!
Your sheeps backs look so clean in your drone shots I was really surprised. You live in a gorgeous part of Scotland, I live in Dorchester Dorset which is also beautiful. But thanks so much for showing us your life. Being a Patreon subscriber for your channel means I feel I'm trying to help somebody start up a life they love and we all need farmers don't we. Good luck lambing
Great extended video. Hope all goes well with lambing. The sheep look in top shape!
Thanks!
You are like my husband, he quite often forgets to shut gates properly. Then we have to draft several hundred store lambs yet again. Or he thinks they won't go near the open gateway.
Love watching your videos! We love Watching meg work from the drone!
Thanks Sam!
Loved watching the sheep move. They look like white cotton balls going down the road sos smoothly. ❤️❤️
The drone footage is a great extra on the channel for sure!
Of course, they are beautiful, Cammy!
Loved the drone shots you can see all the bust drains no problem and the sheep shots were good to Lizzie going to be run off her feet
That's why I say hey man nice shot! Tiffany from Eugene Oregon 🇺🇸
Cammy, I just love watching your videos. Keep them coming. And you are looking a lot more like your sheep with long curls.
Thanks Trish!! I get called Sheep heed often lol
Sheep look in great condition and nice and healthy. Best of luck with lambing.
Good video cammy always one of the first 200 two watch them can't wait every week to see them
Thanks Angus. I appreciate that support!! After lambing i'll get into a good routine so you know when they are coming!
Another cracking video Cammy
Nothing wrong with that shed, roof and 4 sides cammy.
You'll have to have a word with archie to run the clippers through your hair or your boss will be on you.
Plenty air it does the job fine 😁. It’s getting hellish! Going to be a hot topic all lambing time!
Your mistake of not securing the gate--here in the states, you would've been "cussed out", "called on the carpet", "scolded" or "chewed out".
It sure is nice to see sheep dogs who do what they're supposed to do, instead of bopping about & scaring the bejasus out of the sheep!
Takes a few years to get the dogs to respect me and work the sheep properly but they are a very important part of the team.
Very interesting. Looks like the dogs are an important part of moving the sheep from pasture to pasture.
You spoke of Chrystalyx, what is it and what is the benefit to your sheep.
Great day in the outdoors, thanks for taking me along.
The ladies are looking GRAND!!
love the drone footage of the sheep
That is one good lorry man!
Beautiful video of moving your herd. Your dogs do amazing work. Cute baby lamb.
Thanks Kimberly
Hi Cammy. Skye and Meg are awesome. Great work. Don’t forget to pour yourself a wee dram when you get home. ❤️🇨🇦
The ewes look in great order Cammy, well done.
Thanks Dan
Great video cammy just amazing
And do you also watch this farming life
That trailer is incredible. Great video.
It is a fair lorry and can take some load, saves me several trips!
Twins are looking well!
All the sheep are good looking
Thank you i’m really chuffed!
The sheep look great - and your dogs work really well.
Thanks Colin, dogs were keen for it having not had too much work for them just recently.
Great video, in my experience if you leave the gate and your stock get out !! You get a almighty bollocking 😂😂 keep up the good work 👍👍
Great video. The sheep look great!
Thanks Peg, they have wintered well.
the herding was awesome!
Yaaay, the hairs growing like a sheep😂🤣😘
Another great video Cammy . 👍
Thanks Martyn!
for a moment I thought you were using the drone to herd the sheep, as they were moving so well, and then realized there was a DOG, and.... I do live in the country and so many sheep, but....I just thought you were ahead of the game!
Found your channel yesterday, great video I really enjoyed it.
Thanks for watching and commenting!! 🥰
Hi cammy I’m also a 30year old farmer in Angus just started a flock of sheep. I will get you up to scan/shear this year lol. Cheers some game.
Babies in the next couple of weeks. So exciting! 🇨🇦
A few on the ground now 😊
It may be difficult to walk them up the road but it sure looks cool from above
Loved the amazing views of your corner of the world. Drone coverage was top notch. Poor wee camera getting run over by the sheep entering that gorgeous BLUE trailer.
Thanks!! I just got a drone upgrade so hopefully more good footage coming’ 😁
Love your videos!
Sheep look very good.
Thanks!
Ewes are looking great, Cammy, and Andy must have been using the Simonize polish on that float.
Polishes it all week waiting for his run to Lanark haha
You mentioned in an earlier vid about slowing down your speech so the American and Canadian viewers could understand you. I actually like when you speak normally. I enjoy the accent and when I visit Scotland one day and hear people speaking it won’t sound so foreign to me. I may even be able to throw in a few Scottish words myself and really throw someone off their game. So keep up with your normal way of speaking and explaining certain words. Great video!
Love the Jacob sheep.
Great video, the sheep look fantastic, so clean and healthy looking with their babies on board. Hope you have a great lambing season. I've never heard of getting a swearing but down in Devon you would probably get a b******ing. 😂
I think that's what you'd get in most places, or even an f****ing b*****ing!
Great video sheep are in savage order
Thanks Dan, lets hope lambs are just a good size for lambing 🤞
Good video as always
Thanks Scott!
Big fan
Nice one! looking forward to your lambing videos especially Lizzie at work, she is good !back to my baby sitting duties.so am late watching.
Thanks Margaret, hoping to get plenty of content out for lambing time.
Beautiful truck
When you come for our shearing you can draft.......it’s a 4 way draft and you count one way.....not as hard as it sounds and you will get lots of encouragement and advice from the jackaroos.
Beautiful sheep. I like there faces as they have attractive faces.
Loving the videos Bob Ross 😄😉.
Thanks, I'm proud of the growth! 😂
Nice shed setup and that's a pretty nifty truck (lorry?). Here in Canada we just have pickup trucks and stock trailers unless you get a semi with a cattle liner (or in my case a minivan for the 8 butcher lambs I brought home last year 😂).
Love learning about the sheep, as I grew up a cattle and horse girl, but always loved sheep.
Makes it a much quicker job with a big lorry, saves me multiple trips with truck and trailer. Glad you're enjoying the vlogs.
Good luck for the lambing cammy I’m hoping to start next week 🙈
Thanks Ross, all the best for you as well.
American here! I’d translate ‘swearing’ as ‘getting a strip torn off you,’ (as in “I’d tear a strip off someone for that!”) but my dad was in the military and that’s more common there. Another possibility is “I’d tan their hide/ the boss would tan my hide.”
Enjoyed it
Thanks Deborrah!
Enjoyed
Brilliant. Keep it up 👍#some buzz
So proud of the bro🤩
I just recently discovered "The Sheep Game" channel and I am absolutely addicted! Not only amazing footage of sheep and shearing, but such amazing scenery , too. Can I come to Scotland and help?
=D Thanks so much Charlotte, I love when new people come over and enjoy it!!
very nice Cammy

Edit: My fiancé is a trucker!! It was really cool and interesting to see Adam’s equipment. We don’t use cabovers over here, for the most part, so it was really cool to see a cabover day cab for the first time!!
(For the curious: the reason American semis/lorries have longer noses is because it’s more comfortable for the driver and easier to get a more powerful engine in there for the long stretches of cruising that American trucks have to do. Land is cheaper and things are built bigger, so the maneuverability and visibility trade off is worth it, because we’ve got a lot more wiggle room to work with. In Europe, cities and towns are built a lot more compact and the distances driven are usually a lot shorter, so the trade off in power/comfort is well worth it for the extra maneuverability and visibility.)
More extreme would be “getting your ass handed to you” or “a boot in the ass”
now the sheep are in charge !! dang..Love you any way granny90
exciting though!
Great footage. A lot of extra work and expense when you have to rent.
Hi Cammy, nice video , hope to visit you soon. I'm from Glasgow
Hi Cammy. Love the videos. I’m learning loads. Just wondering, could we know what the music you use in each video is please? You always use great music and I’d like to create a playlist of it. The piece over the drone shots at the beginning of the vid is lovely. I assume it’s all Scottish folk, etc.
While loading you can see that some of the ewes are bagging up
