Am I the only one who loves to watch the credits after a movie? They let you there with the song thinking about everything you just saw. At least that’s what should happen if the movie was good.
You are not the only one, i really love that feeling, sometimes with joy and excitement being thankful with the people who's names are on the screen for creating such a ride, sometimes with tears rolling down your cheeks, as the names pass by and the music plays, and sometimes with that feeling of "what the fuck did i just watch". The feeling i get when i stick 'till the credits in a good film, in a movie theatre, all by myself, when all the people already left, that is what i call "the closest feeling to happiness that i'll ever have"
A lot of directors don’t really care about ending credits, or displaying them in a manner that imparts the feeling of finality, and leaves room for contemplation. Great directors like Fincher care about little things like that. One example of this feeling is the ending to American Graffiti. The credits make you feel sad that it’s over, but ultimately glad you finally watched it.
I used to watch it everyday while I was getting my associate degree, for 3 to 4 months... I would listen to it, didn't need to watch it, I just listened. Fight Club is pretty much my bible. In Tyler We Trusted.
Anyone else notice the single frame of porn right before the credits start? It’s a nice callback to Tyler Durden splicing in single frames of porn into movies at the movie theater he worked at.
I know everything is going boom, but damn it this ending makes me smile. I think that's what this movie is about how this world can be so hollow, that it suck everything right out of you. Sometimes it's at the lowest points you lose all hope, and to find away to define yourself outside of it, that's a well lived life.
