I'd be concerned about live downed wires. A few years ago a local teacher was electrocuted when he walked on his lawn after a storm: a wire was down a few hundred feet away but with the wet ground the current made it all the way to him.

Not bad for an amateur. At least, the cameraperson didn't subject his audience to a panic stricken droll of nonsense, like so many do! As a former videographer, I can say attest to the quality. 1.) Good framing. Nice, wide shots on everything. 2.) Non stop visual tour of the path of destruction. Not great for editing, but extremely useful for legal documentation. 3.) No commentary. So many amateurs think you need to fill every moment with chatter. Totally untrue! 4.) Attention to detail. Camera slows and pans appropriately, to tell the whole story. IMO... This was professional. As good as any Storm Chaser would provide, and quite possibly better.

Not bad for an amateur. At least, the cameraperson didn't subject his audience to a panic stricken droll of nonsense, like so many do!
As a former videographer, I can say attest to the quality.
1.) Good framing. Nice, wide shots on everything.
2.) Non stop visual tour of the path of destruction. Not great for editing, but extremely useful for legal documentation.
3.) No commentary. So many amateurs think you need to fill every moment with chatter. Totally untrue!
4.) Attention to detail. Camera slows and pans appropriately, to tell the whole story.
IMO... This was professional. As good as any Storm Chaser would provide, and quite possibly better.
