What an eyecatcher. Wish Hollywood or Ken Burns would either do a motion picture or a documentary about the Granville brothers and the air races of the 20s and the 30s. I've got a little model of this plane I put together about 55 years ago. Number 11, NR2100.

I just love love love the GeeBee, always have always will, it represents a time in aviation where people weren't tied to convention and everything was possible, a design philosophy that is sadly lacking in modern sports aviation sad to say. I fly my little GeeBee scale model as often as I dare and have noted on many occasions, as I dd here, just how axial and clean it moves on its various axis - rolls are as axial as the best competition machines today. Despite its unfortunate reputation, it was a masterpiece of aeronautical design and engineering and when operated properly was as good if not better than anything else at the time. There's just nothing like it
